Hi there, just wanted to make sure you knew that you said that this car was powered by a 3.3 Liter Inline 6. Minor error but just wanted to give you a heads up for those who are actually looking for actual specs. It's a 3.0 Liter. Besides that, great review. Keep up the awesome work. My new X5 arrives July....can't wait! I wish, though, that I had been told there was a CD option. Cannot think why they removed it, sorry. I have 20 years of CDs I now have to upload to my laptop and then put onto a memory stick and import them. A right pain and all for saving 50 quid.
Steve Price I’m not sure about in the U.K. but I know a dealer install option will be available at a later date here in the states. Hopefully you’ll have that option before you have to go through all that work!

I do wish BMW would recognise that new owners need assistance in getting the full benefit of the technology they include. It is obvious that even the Connected Drive specialists in the UK are unfamiliar with the car. I spend hours trying to work out stuff that I don't understand. And like it or not, if you're spending £63k on a car, you are not likely to be as tech-savvy as a teenager, so why assume I am?
Sorry to hear that! What are you having problems with specifically? Most dealers should have a genius in house that can assist but I might be able to help

My x5 didn’t come with a key card
I picked one up on Dec 3rd. It has been to the shop 5 times for massive Idrive 7 problems. Still not fixed. I have had it maybe 2 weeks. I want them to replace it. We'll see.
Howard's Channel - as long as its a lease no sweat, bmw should be giving you the equivalent model as a loner if not an upgrade, as they normally do.
tmwall25 It was not a lease, it was a purchase but I did hear from them today and they are going to replace it.

@@daveb8745 I would wait a few weeks. The issues I have been having are related to a specific part which is being redesigned. It drives fantastic and is rock solid. there's a huge amount of tech in the car and it wasn't fully vetted before it was released.

I thought they only supported iPhone and carplay until just recently, the beginning of 2020? And any iDrive 7(is that right?) will get an update that adds support for Android devices and Android Auto.

You made a big mistake the most important aspect the 3d surround view camera camera system you did not treat EXTENSIVELY

Sorry about that! I'd be happy to do another video explaining that feature in detail. Are you referring to the surround view in the BMW Connected App or the surround view included with the backup camera system?

close to an audi Q8, that offers the same trunk and more space on the rear seats, the X5 looks 5-7 years older to the audi. Also, the bmw is likely more expensive to run because the mild hybrid Q8 offers a great MPG on this category (also offers, dual pane glasses, B&0 3d hi-fi and a lot more features than this X5).
I like it, but I have bus tickets, which comes with a driver and is timely from time to time.
I wish more women would do reviews.... im tired of hearing these lames speak

Worse sales person ever
This Video was poorly done. The narrator was extremely hasty in her presentation and was to sing-song in her delivery. I know there was a lot of material to cover but either make the video longer or break it into 2 different sessions/videos. I have watched many instructional videos and this, by far, was the worst when it comes to walking away with a clear understanding of the subject matter.
How disappointing! As I said in the beginning, it is a quick overview of the vehicle. What exactly were you unable to take away from this video that you'd like covered in another?
I use to work for BMW- and this SUV would break down more than any other bmw series. Worst car ever, do not buy unless you like loaner vehicles ! Lol 😂
I am actually thinking of getting an X5, is it really that bad? What about leasing it instead of purchase? Do you really not recommend that car?

Not a generational thing it’s a BMW thing, and thank you for agreeing that your X5 proves to be the worst vehicle in the series. Buy a Mercedes and save yourselves the headache! After 50k miles the BMW’s becomes a Ford! 😂
Adam C Eastham um... We have an ‘04 x3 that STILL runs like melted butter and IF it ever quits on us, we 100% will be getting another BMW suv!
Also got a ‘18 X5 M Sport and it’s probably the best car we’ve ever owned ❤️❤️
