Thank you for your video it was very helpful. I just bought my first BMW 2021 x5 XDRIVE401. Very cool automobile-loving it. Can I change the tires to regular tires?
I personally would save these stations as "presets" not favorites. Sirius can only favorite sirius stations but with presets you can mix and match fm, am, and sirius too. It's much easier to save them that way.
Yes there is a way to do that, try going into the parking assistance menu. To get there you should see a button of a P with a cone near the gear shifter. You go into that, a screen will pop up showing you the radar system, then you should see settings near the corner of the screen, there you should see a option to adjust the beeping sound.
Could be software, try doing a idrive reboot. Turn on the vehicle, keep the engine on and running, then hold down the radio volume knob until the screen goes black, should take about 30 secs, and then wait for it to boot back up.

Not sure, usually when we see cars that are in this state the best option is to put the car on rollers and do it that way. Previous X5s did have a switch located beneath the cupholders.
Hey Peter. The X5s do not have a snow mode. You could drive it eco pro mode to start off slower with more traction but aside from that is it. I would only recommend turning off stability control if you are STUCK in snow it will spin the wheels more which is used to build momentum to get out the snow you’re stuck in. I couldn’t think of any other vehicle or suv that would be more suitable with a setup like that!
Thanks, great review all around. Best review ever of the power seats!! I think the only thing you could have added was the steering wheel adjustments. They are pretty simple, but, fantastic.
It has self parking if the x5 has the parking assistance plus package. If you mean remote parking such as by using the MY BMW APP, that was a feature introduced to the 2024+ X5s.
You would have to turn the switch off on the headlight control buttons that are located near your knee. If you mean to turn off the day time running lights, I would go into the settings and go to exterior lighting and see if there is an option there.
Awesome review - more thorough than the BMW Genius that provided a tutorial at my delivery. When I shift from park to reverse or to drive the car makes a sound signifying a shift in the gear, however, when I press the park button it remains silent. Any way to activate a sound? Would be helpful to confirm that I shifted into park (versus having to look at the instrument cluster).
Hey Brian, thanks for the compliment! I try to be as detailed as I can on here =) There is not a setting in the car that will alert you when going into park. My guess would be mainly that going into park is a safer bet. Compared to going into reverse or drive, since that could be more dangerous had you not known it was in those gears. Instrument cluster is going to be your best bet, you can press the BC button a few times till you see a bigger view of what gear you're in, you can also view below near the shifter itself and the green light will indicate what gear you're in there as well. Cool trick if you don't already know but if you were in reverse or drive, you can simply turn off the car and it will auto-shift into park. This will not work for neutral though!
should I bother with the giant wheels? arent smaller wheels more comfortable? I feel like this is a situation where I have to choose between looks vs comfort
Correct. I do not notice too much of a difference in ride quality. I would be more concerned with how your roads are. If you get the big rims, one nice pothole and it's more likely to get bent. I personally love the look of bigger wheels, also watch out because some of the bigger wheels make only come with Performance / Summer tires, these you cannot drive in the winter.
I’ve been thinking of trading up from my 2023 top spec Mazda CX5 turbo to an X5 but I’m not really sure what I would be gaining because my CX5 has almost all of these features and drives really well. I can see the BMW exterior paint finish is way better, and an X5 will impress the neighbours more 😂 But for an extra $100,000 I’m not sure it’s worth it. A negative for we right hand drive countries is the BMW indicator stalk is on the wrong side. Would get use to it I suppose but it’s not very convenient.
Good point, I can agree features wise many brands can be comparable these days. The biggest difference you'll feel would be with the driving feel. Once you get use to it, it's very hard to switch back into another brand. BMWs also got ranked 2 years in a row for being one of the top 3 car brands, so im sure there should be other reasons why it should be taken into consideration!

Have tried to stow the storage shade in the under floor area near the spare tire, won’t fit. Dealer didn’t know about it either and can’t figure it out. It is a nice idea if it works.
It should work for the X5, one thing you could try doing is removing the side compartment door that might be blocking it, and then try to lay it down flat from the left to the right. That or try flipping the shade backwards to see if that does the trick .

Hi, great job! Is it possible that you do a comparison of air suspension and adaptive m on X5 ? I know it will be subjective but still would like to know your opinion
Sure, if you want my immediate feed back. I LOVE the adaptive m suspension. I've felt it in multiple vehicles and it makes the BMWs GLIDE over the road/potholes. The air suspension is nice, but it's more so used at slower speeds, once you go past 15-20 MPH it adjusts back to the original height, and in terms of drive feel, I did not notice much difference over the stock setup.
Love this! I have the plug in and literally didn't know how to buy gas for it. :) Can you tell me which ipad adaptor for the back headrests? Thank you!

Hey Manish, thanks for reaching out. There isn't a specific sunglass holder per say, but there is a compartment on the lower left side right beside your knee where object such as sunglasses would go into.
@@BeamerView Thanks. Recently picked up a X5 45e a month ago and I already found 3 quality issue. 1. Rear bumper not fitted properly, it has some gap in the middle through which I can see the metal hardware behind it. 2. Front passenger side door has panel gap from interior. 3. Fabric on driver side B pillar interior trim is defective. Any advice?
I prefer this version of X5 than the current one whereas they are copying MB's style of center console/dash and removed the physical buttons of the climate control. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching. Yes it took some time getting use to the curved display interface. I personally use the voice commands for the features of the car now, and I do like how the new one has a search box for settings.
I would imagine they would be getting rid of those. I have used them before, and honestly they are not that great. Every X5 and X7 comes with the adaptor slow behind the front seats to mount iPads and other necessities, that has been more useful to the majority.
I have a 2016 x5 that I’m still trying to figure out. I went to the gas station the other day, locked my doors and tried to open the fuel door. It wouldn’t open. I drove home and it opened. Went back to the station and it wouldn’t open. Finally, I used the emergency latch. But now I know that it was all because the doors were locked 😂
The one minor issue I have with my 2022 X5 is that the back seat is a little tight and the rearseats don't recline. Hope this fix these issues in their upcoming redesign.
Thanks for making such a great content. My 2022 x5 is a nightmare with its front breaks and steering rack squeaking and squealing after 4-5 months of ownership. Even if the vehicle is stationary, and on neutral, when you initiate a full-steering lock on either direction, you will hear some cranking noises as if you are driving a 40 years old car. If you tried to park it on a 45° angle slope, the noises from the front ends is so loud that you will attract the whole attention of the city with people steering at your car with the look "what a junk"". Am so so disappointed with my €116,000 car to be making such noises. I made the decision to buy, the X5 because of all this nice and fancy youtube video (no disrespect to the content provided) but am sure the content creator are dealing with brand new car and not a bmw x5 that are 5-6 months old with milage of 5,000km-8,000KM, then the video would be different The car drives great with comfort but if you wanted to buy a car that caused embarrassment when you tried to park or coming to slow stop, then the x5 is not to be considered. The dealership kept giving all those sort of excuses telling me to apply more pressure on my brakes or tried emergency braking on the highway maybe that will get ride of the noises. I bought my car to enjoy but not to get muscles cramps from apply 100% pressure on my brakes. No matter what you do, the steering rack and sport brake are squeaking like a 1860 truck. The more time past the louder the squeaking get. As of today, 26 Sept 2022, my dealing now come with the BF to inform me that the warranty doesn't cover brake rotor exchange.... New buyer/s please don't make the same mistake as I do, and now am living with such a squeaking suv and am even ashamed to drive my car into public places because of that. So I suggest you stay away from buying this misleading X5 until BMW engineers fix their front suspension and sport brakes. If you wanted to make the decision to buy an x5 then you must request your dealership to give you an x5 that have between 5,000 - -8,000KM for test drive and try to park it on 45° angle slope, do full steering lock and put vehicle on reverse of drive then you will hear all of this. For the content creator, thanks for such a great content but if you have an idea or a fix of this X5 front suspension and brake squeaking, please let me know.
Hey Hector. Sorry to hear you’re dealing with that. It’s very rare to hear such cases and it’s not nice that the dealer is not taking care of it. The dealer that I’m at has always been very fair with issues with new cars. I would try other dealers if you haven’t already. If it’s that new BMW should have their own warranty that should cover any mishaps like that. I don’t know of fixes nor have have heard of those on a brand new car. But would highly recommend other BMW dealers.

Congrats on being in the market for the X5, you're going to fall in love with it. If you end up purchasing it with us let me know, would love to help do your delivery when you come in to pick it up.

@@BeamerView Many thanks, really appreciate your comment.
Love this! I have the plug in and literally didn't know how to buy gas for it. :) Can you tell me which ipad adaptor for the back headrests? Thank you!
Should be on shopbmwusa.

Where is the sunglass holder?
Hey Manish, thanks for reaching out. There isn't a specific sunglass holder per say, but there is a compartment on the lower left side right beside your knee where object such as sunglasses would go into.
@@BeamerView Thanks. Recently picked up a X5 45e a month ago and I already found 3 quality issue.
1. Rear bumper not fitted properly, it has some gap in the middle through which I can see the metal hardware behind it.
2. Front passenger side door has panel gap from interior.
3. Fabric on driver side B pillar interior trim is defective.
Any advice?
How to use precept on an X5 BMW 2020
th-cam.com/video/UdY5DHSiR4I/w-d-xo.html
Check out this video.
The only fuel I put in mine is 93. Maybe because of all the hp it has. 0-60 in 3.4 with a dähler chip tune.
Yup 93 all the way!
Love this channel
Thanks James! Reach out if you have any questions
@ BeamerView:
I’ve heard that BMW is no longer offering the rear infotainment system in the X5. Is this true, or just a rumor?
I would imagine they would be getting rid of those. I have used them before, and honestly they are not that great. Every X5 and X7 comes with the adaptor slow behind the front seats to mount iPads and other necessities, that has been more useful to the majority.
@@BeamerViewwhere can I find the adaptor to hold iPad? I don’t see it on the BMW website

Exterior color?

Did you say the color of the vehicle 🤔
Phytonic Blue =)
Super helpful!
Glad you think so! Reach out if you have questions!
Haha, yeah one would not think the gas door would be considered a door as well =)
Is this the 2022 or 2023 model
2023! Not much has changed except the fact that they can be equipped with sensafin leather now!
Ha Shell gas, probably the most expensive here in So Calif! No thanks we'll be putting in Sam's premium at almost $1 gal cheaper..:)
Agreed shell gas is not cheap at all. It’s good but only good if you’re going to pushing your vehicle hard :)
Yes do drive 7 please.
Sounds good!
The one minor issue I have with my 2022 X5 is that the back seat is a little tight and the rearseats don't recline. Hope this fix these issues in their upcoming redesign.
The middle seats can recline just a little bit, if your X5 does have a 3rd row, yes it’s very tight back there and basically just meant for kids.
More pls❤
You got it!
Well noted with much respect
Ty!
Why have they not transitioned the old sunroof :(the old sunroof made the driving feel like you are in a convertible during summer
True!

I cant believe you missed talking about the sky lounge that comes with the executive package
Being sarcastic right? :)
Stop giving us the middle finger at 11:00. Sheesh. So unprofessional.
Ha ha, you found the Easter egg
I made the decision to buy, the X5 because of all this nice and fancy youtube video (no disrespect to the content provided) but am sure the content creator are dealing with brand new car and not a bmw x5 that are 5-6 months old with milage of 5,000km-8,000KM, then the video would be different
The car drives great with comfort but if you wanted to buy a car that caused embarrassment when you tried to park or coming to slow stop, then the x5 is not to be considered.
Aren’t they remodeling this car in a few months for 2023 mid year?
I believe so yes! They are also doing the x6 LCI soon too
Very informative but why does he keep saying “to to” and also “hit” the button, surely that would break it? Is this an American thing?
Agreed! I need to stop saying TOO so many times, and yes we also say HIT instead of press =)
Thanks for the feedback!
@@BeamerView I see where you were going with the “too” bit, “to” is where you are going eg. going to the shops and “too” is where something is more eg. I have eaten too much food. I know you know that but just an explanation for those who might not, either way it is still spoken the same way it’s the context of the sentence that determines the spelling. I understand the hit thing. Sorry if I’m coming across as a pain, I really don’t mean to and no offence is meant, I’m just a big fan of the English language. Keep up the great content my friend. 👍👍👍
@@darrenkellett not at all. I more than appreciate the feedback. Public speaking my strong suit but one day will be! :)
Outdated aready! 2024 model is the better X5.
Yeah, there's another video already out on it.

Thank you!
I want the 2019 40i.
Yes! That was when they did the first redesign for it. It was a game changer.
Where can I purachse the adapter for the nack of the car
