The problem isn't doing this circuit alone, the problem is doing it with other F1 cars
The problem is turn 20 🤣
They must turn 1 by 1
@@XYNO_ just like monaco. Wich I also dont like watching
The problem is also doing this circuit alone, even in staggered qualifying you'd still probably get 4 crashes
There's also no space for any barriers
Imagine the tyre strategy the teams would have to do if every car had to drift around this corner every lap
A 15 stop race would be the optimal strategy.
Hahahahaha
Lap 3:
"I have a major vibration going on."
"Yeah well, you are taking turn 20 like you're in Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift."
@FoulPrinceRomero
Lap 5: "Bono, my rims are gone."
Lap 10: "Bono... Is this care floating or what?"
Lap 13: "Bono, am I piloting a U2?"
Lap 15: "The Edge? Tell Bobo that I need god damn tires."
Lap 20: "Put the tire from the taxi that brought you here, they might last longer than these one..."
Id watch that
I remember that at the hairpin the great Seb Loeb, in what was probably his first season in WTCC, came and pulled his handbrake to turn. It was a really good scene
@Ignacio Unfortunately no
@Ignacio
yes
Using his rally skills to his advantage
Game name plz

Imagine a F1 race in that circuit. Impossible
Mercedes would struggle since they are the longest car
Aka instant Death if something goes wrong

Feels like Monaco to me, It's hard to overtake and the qualifying is very important.

Worst than Monaco
@@keiming2277 *worse than Monaco (jesus, that's the second time) 😃
As in every city circuit more or less
@@Adam77 Baku isn't an entertaining race?
the amount of floor damage here and crahses would be absurd. way to dangerous for it to ever be a f1 track
Yeah.. the floors being damaged here would be on par with the '04 tsunami!
Can you explain why more floor damages than regular tracks?
@@lakshyamongia3270 when the track is uneven the car hits the gound. all cars normally have magnesium plates under them preventing floor damage, but in for example monacco, the track is too uneven for it to work perfactly.
on a track like this, where the car lifts off the ground, floor damage would be unpreventable.
F1's too scared to race at Bathurst or Watkins Glen, but Macau would scare off NASCAR and Supercars too.
At Macau GP, there is a mandatory no passing at the Melco Hairpin for all races. Not sure that any F1 drivers would bother listening to that warning though.
That can’t be true surely ?
To be precise it's a permanent yellow flag so if someone was stupid enough to attempt they would get a fat penalty
@@chaycowdry7654 The Macau Guia Circuit never changed since the 1950s. So the "No Passing Rule" at the Melco Hairpin stays. Besides, there is no way that the width of that corner could be ever widen.
you never see 3 car head to head into the corner in indy or nascar, it's the same thing, it just physically cant fit, no matter you listen or not
@@12Senna That's the difference between real experienced race car drivers and those playing it on the video games hahaha!
In Monaco, F1 cars use a special steering rack that allows cars to turn through that iconic hairpin of Monaco. If the Macau circuit is added to the F1 Calendar, probably F1 cars will need a special steering rack
wait what, how do you know that?
@@zwykyziomek2570 playing F1 2019, the commentators before the race said that, and that's why i knew that
@@pablozocchi 🙆♀️🙆♂️
It's a pretty fun track especially when it's laser scanned
Appreciate the effort that you put in to make a fast lap. Looks much better that way
That corner is thight but new F1 Cars are Bloody massive too
And we used to say Monaco was tight 😂
Well, Macau has got super long and wide straights
but monaco is constantly tight whereas macau has wide straights
Baku turn 8
@@CelixFat The downhill?
@@istillplayroblox6952 The castle section is turn 8
Would be interesting to see if 2022 cars with slightly shorter whellbase could make the critical turn.
While wheelbase has changed, the actual length of car is similar and the new car is heavier.
@@stupidshinji1331 Wheelbase is more important than overall length for turning circle, no?
@@Ponja__ Yes, of course! Every spinning top, no matter how wide, has the same very narrow wheelbase that lets it spin on a dime. Anything before the first set of the wheels and anything behind the last set doesn't matter for turning radius.
I think the guy above was saying that the equally long cars will still be hard to fit into the gap between the walls, which is completely true, but as seen in the video the car fits just fine as long as you can turn fast enough, so the smaller wheelbase does seem to be useful
Macau is way too narrow for F1 cars to race around there. Only if u get turn 20 wrong. There will be an almighty pile up
If you take the apex in turn 20 as early as possible, you can do it with 330° wheel range
In fact, Ralph Firman in 2003 drew his Jordan EJ13 at Macau Street Circuit - with the fastest time 1 minute 59 seconds, which is almost 7 seconds faster, than in modern F3 cas
1:55.714 was the fastest lap
this looks more like a rally or hillclimb stage then an actual track, it's super impressive how drivers manage to go around this track for multiple laps without crashing
They do...sometimes.
@@wiegraf9009 well, yeah...
I think there should be an F1 track with a turn do tight it requires you to do a three-point turn
And how would lap 1 be? What a stupid idea.
0:25 isn’t this the turn where ( I don’t know which racing series ) crashed?
The flying crash

GOD that’s narrow

@@pro_driver280 yess

Turn 17
That was beautiful driving. Gives me anxiety watching cars on this track.
Nice video as always Marcel 😁😁
love these vids marcel
Prediction before watching: Yes.
On visiting Macau, I happened to take a bus that followed part of the Guia circuit. One of its stops was just above the hairpin. I started taking pictures, assuming we would carry on straight past and I would have a nice photo of how tight it really was. But then the driver turned hard right and went through the hairpin and down the hill.
In Macau we always say that being a bus driver is one of the highest skill jobs in this place
@@Ethan-vj5mt Macau has the craziest streets I've ever seen. I'm sure all the bus drivers are excellent.
1:54 is impossible 😳😳
You know we were all waiting for 1:21! Part of the problem is not just the steering lock but the sheer THICCness of modern F1 cars. I read somewhere that Williams never changed the steering rack in the early 90's for what was then called Leows Hairpin at Monaco, they expected the drivers to skid steer round.
Woah, looks super fun to drive!
In this circuit it's impossible to overtake, especially in turn 20...
I think there's a rule saying no overtaking allowed on turn 20, it's prohibited.
@@mud7yousay You’re right, there is.
Thank you for the nice content!
Nice video, the first time i’m enjoying Maccau in a videogame! Probably because i suck at this track haha
Is just another Monaco, but even tighter
I cant even finish 3 laps on Monaco, I cant imagine this
Me: "Hm, this track doesn't seem too bad so far."
Turn 20: "Allow me to introduce myself."
When I first heard the ding for getting through T1, I thought, “that would be annoying if they played that sound for ever corner,” I was right
Sorry for that. I liked it
i just going to ask you about the speed at turn 2 and before breaking at turn 3
and if macau f1 is going to be a thing the DRS is going to be the straights and the speed trap maybe 150-200m before turn 3
Passing is done on the much wider main front. Reservoir Bend before the finish, the start-finish complex leading to the fast Mandarin straight. Finally pulling it off at the famous Lisboa Corner. As for the twisty back end bits up the San Francisco Hill, you have to be really brave. There might be one or two place where you can do it. But you must be extremely precise.
If that tight Turn wasn’t a thing and the roads were a bit wider that would be the best race ever
Turn 20 feels like a mobile game ad
It probably wasnt your intention, but this is one of the greatest videos for showing off just how fast an f1 car is.
New custom steering column and rack and I could see teams doing it without the need for drifting/spinning the rears to create an angle.
You can actually go through Guia in an F1 car. If you can somehow get the 450 degree wheel lock through (Turn) 20.
Thats whats Happening in the Video!😂
This is some tight racing.
Go and watch the touring cars race of 92’. All 3 190E Mercedes ended up in walls while they tried to celebrate the new dealership in Macau, you can almost see tears coming out of the screen.
Wow you so good in this difficult track 👌 my face is 😮 when watching this 😁
"Hello Valtteri, this is James. Lewis is faster than you, let him pass." "I can't, for fuck's sake!!!!"
There would be fatalities if there was a F1 race.
Legend!
Since F1 uses a special gear linkage for it's steering on Monaco track I am pretty sure it will work on Macau as well
The pits are a bus station when not in use. I went to macau back in 2018 and the bus dropped us off in the paddock
Ngl it kinda seemed a little boring in the begining, just soft corners and alot of straights, but after a few turns, man did it get dialed up to 150 out of nowhere. Nice vid!
It seems that that turn has the same layout as one of the monaco gp turns. So it just do some changes on inclination and would work fine.
the yellow and red on the sides display how many times safety car has to be deployed and red flags
fia: ima need that track in monaco 2.0
Me after the turn 1 animation : I think you will be also good for turn 2
1:19 for anyone that just wants to see the turn 😆
Absolute legend 😭
I love hiw ur using a merc wheel in a ferarri
For F1 it's difficult. If turning 20 is difficult with one car, imagine with two or more cars
That track is scary as hell in an f1 car
Turn 20 will be a complete nightmare!
If F1 would race there, the teams would make their cars work on that circuit. I mean, they have to modify the steering especially for Lowes corner in monaco as well
Imagine Tsunoda vs Mazepin in T20
Hard to imagine that the biggest pile up in history of motorsport didn't occur in turn 20, but 17
Jordan F1 did it in 2003. A one car demostration, not a race though. Footages available on TH-cam.
would love to see a f1 race here but I know it will never happen
Quali will be a crash paradise
Can u do this at the Long Beach street circuit
I’ll have to remember this for the next time I’m in Macau.
THIS WEEK IS RACE WEEKEND AT MACAU GP 🎉
Red flags here will be so dangerous...even the smallest of debris is unavoidable
Make a video about Macau versus Monaco!
Feels like Monaco
A longer and harder Monaco
The straight is doable but by then, every other cars would separated
Imagine f1 drivers drifting at turn 20
MAZEPIN: Hold up, i got this in the bag
Qualifying on this track would be so sick to watch to be honest, its like jeddah but on steroids on how close to the walls you are
No
Macau makes the Castle Turn at Baku look like a runway at LAX.
actually irl, the circuit didn't have the grade 1 certification from FIA(it's grade 2 certified for F3 if I remember) so they can't run F1 cars anyway
Great! Now do it again with a super *W I D E* M8 GTE
learned this track from ride 3
They would alter that turn move the street furniture.
The definition of send it
They would put a special steering rack in for that track as they do for Monaco
Imagine pole position gets to turn 20 and fucks up his drift mode turn.. it would just be a pile up of cars essentially a car park haha
F1 cars definitely can run on Macau track, but accidents are expected
this track looks like a death trap
can you do/try the same experiment on vila real street circuit?
I think yes if we take account that F1 has street circuits like Baku and Jeddah
This track gives me the "Monaco Who" vibe
I drove at macau in 2022 cars and it is actually easy to make that harpin
Is it on Assetto Corsa normal or Competitione?
That clean drift tho
Oh no! Oh! Mayhem!
If Monaco's already tight for any overtakes in a usual F1 GP, what more with this lol, imagine the chaos at turn 20
Its gonna be most expensive car parade ever
The real question is how many times would the race be red flagged over under is 50
overtaking here is even more difficult than at monaco gp
I feel like this is just monaco revamped (also, is this track for moto racing? What is it that races here?)
Surely slowing down earlier and turning left first then full lock right would increase the corner apex and allow it to be done with normal range
Nope. Its not possible with normal range. I tried it a lot of times
This is one car, now imagine 20 cars in turn 20 and at least one of them crashing into the barrier. Cars behind wouldn’t even make it to pits.
Seeing as there used to be F1 races on that specific road, including that very turn, I would have to say, "Yes, it is possible."
Yeah but F1 cars changes and got a lot longer
@@nooffensebut4655 not so. The minimum length for an F1 has been 4500MM since the 1970s.
The longest of F1 cars is just under 4800MM, and it doesn't fare well in races due to the additional weight of that extra foot in length. (It adds nearly 70 pounds of weight, which is why those longer F1s tend to not place well. That weight alone harms their efficiency.)
This is like Monaco but with actual speed
It does look like fun. If a slightly unsafe circuit.
POV you knew that turn 20 was gonna be an issue when you started watching it 👁👄👁
As I am a native of macau and i drive through this hairpin almost every week, l know how hard to drive fast on that hairpin, I think that a F1 drive through the circuit alone for a demonstration but l remember that it needs a push on that hairpin. By the way, which simulation are you playing as l would like to try it myself.
This is rfactor 2
