Flooding risks are shifting in Las Vegas

The Las Vegas monsoon season has long been known as the flooding period for the southern Nevada valley. However, new studies are showing that the winter months now present the area with greater flooding risks.

The fact I am born n raised here n my parents moved here in the 70's from the east coast n their were only about 100,000 ppl here to now 2.6 million blows my freaking mind.

That is because in some areas canals etc have been built to control it, in other areas they don't exist.
