Last year they reported a horrible drought. So bad that we were going to all lose water. The rains were very heavy but less than 2 inches. The media is?
We did get a lot of flood warnings that day and no one listened. I can kinda see why though, we get a lot of flash flood warnings but nothing never happens, but when it does everyone is shocked.
Las Vegas needs a system of communication (social media, phone alerts, radio, TV) which tells people to stay home and not to go into the flood-prone areas.
The problem is that once the sewer system drains get clogged in heavy rain, it really only take a hour or even less for the rain water to accumulate since it has no where to go. I do hope citizens of Las Vegas survive these dangerous floods.
Nevadans. i am one of you. i am one of your own. we know we cannot drive in the rain. so you know you cannot drive a car in moving water. it is deeper than you think. .

At 2:49 is that the gas price of $2.45... I haven't seen that kinda price I'm awhile.... Hmmmm...
It's more than double that where I am!
@@bodaciouscowboy what I'm getting at is that piece of footage wasn't from yesterday because everywhere I've been seeing over $4 & some places pushing $5 again... And even later in the video by the Arco I think it was I saw $4.50 something... I just don't know why they would use some old footage...
I was wondering about that price as well. 👀
@@danw.3291 I didn't notice earlier, but up in the right-hand corner of that footage it says "From 2016".
Greetings 🫖☕ good morning 🌞🙏 I resided in Nevada 🌹 I love the town there were some bad seeds that were coming into my locked apartment stealing from me while I went to appointments ✍️My favorites live in Nevada ❤️ Uncle Charles Hickley and Rosalie Martinez 🙏 hope everyone is ok
Last year they reported a horrible drought. So bad that we were going to all lose water. The rains were very heavy but less than 2 inches. The media is?
And people still drive through the flooded streets…no one apparently learns…
We did get a lot of flood warnings that day and no one listened. I can kinda see why though, we get a lot of flash flood warnings but nothing never happens, but when it does everyone is shocked.
Yes we did all day long
Las Vegas needs to be under water forever.
Las Vegas needs a system of communication (social media, phone alerts, radio, TV) which tells people to stay home and not to go into the flood-prone areas.
It does you get an alert just like the amber alert system, but for weather alerts
I must have received 100 alerts that day.. everybody was warned and told to stay home..
Sometimes ppl are at work and are going home.
No need to reinvent the wheel. I got multiple alerts on my phone and TV warning against unnecessary travel
Vegas needs some intelligent citizens who can figure that out for themselves.
The joys of living on an Alluvial Fan!
All these people didn't live in the 70s and 80 when Koval flooded! 😂
I miss our small hometown valley!
mobile home are like tornado and hurricane magnets
We need the water,though.
Yes I'm here in vegas and was stuck in floods for 2 hours not fun 🙏🙏
Prayers
Centennial Hills has a lot of flooded corners. W Tropical Pkwy is a river
I was on Ann Rd and Simmons. It was really scary.
@@81983danielle have friends near there. They said the same thing
They say lone mountain got 1.93” at night. If there were 4 inches of rain, the water would likely catch-up to my doorstep.
The problem is that once the sewer system drains get clogged in heavy rain, it really only take a hour or even less for the rain water to accumulate since it has no where to go. I do hope citizens of Las Vegas survive these dangerous floods.
Gas is $5/gal there? I’ve been complaining about almost $4/gal on East coast
get the NCR to help out.
And they do absolutely nothing about drainage.
Waiting for the power to come back on
My super powers are still on. Ain't yours?? 😅
@@chuckh4077 seriously the power is out and no news about it
@radventure4231 dmm: well, you are saving the planet by not using electricity. Lol
Nevadans. i am one of you. i am one of your own. we know we cannot drive in the rain. so you know you cannot drive a car in moving water. it is deeper than you think. .
How about those building codes
Urban Kayak season is in full swing... Last years season was weak...
Learn from Marybeth. Don't drive in water.
People were laughing as they went by. Lmao that’s cold af
I laugh at stupidity. What's wrong with that?😂 if I drove through water that was too deep for my car and it hydrolocked the engine, I probably laugh at myself too.😅
stupid is as stupid does and you can't fix it.....
It’s not “stupidity” when someone is driving, gets stuck in traffic and the street suddenly floods from a downpour. But it is total ignorance and lack of character to laugh at the misfortune of others, just saying.
That poor lady facing a huge towing bill... guess I'll cancel my Vegas trip for a while... I'm coming to gamble and win, not swim.... good luck to all affected by the flooding
when you fail to plan, man, all that water running off
It kinda says something when most amateur TH-camrs have nicer microphones than KTNV-TV.
Seriously; look at that microphone/it's worn out corners. What is this, Circus Circus, The Luxor?
The flooding took away the mic's muff?
but did you hear the audio the microphone was recording? that's what they're for ya know..
You are right Mr.Mr.McKinley! Such a small stub. I don’t ever want to see that microphone again! I am making a TiKTok about this zoomed in to that mic! I pay my taxes, these reporters work for me!
@@chrissgchriss Just give that woman a microphone that's as pretty as she is!
@@chrissgchriss The irony is that you're watching news on TH-cam.
@@MrMrMckinley Yes, the Irony of getting News hours later! I love your description of the Mic being Luxor or Circus Circus! Laughed my sound shield off! Sure, they are no Wynn but they can upgrade to at least a Golden Nugget.
Don't forget to pay for a carwash once its over to wash the chemicals to prevent rust on the underside of your cars.
there is no salt in that water..... 🤣
Did all this happen from TWO inches of rain!
Unbelievable !
No matter what the busses run
one guy in a backhoe doing the work while 10 guys with shovels watch him.
Your tax dollars at work.
💸💸💸
She sounds like she's narrating a parade
this has a good deal with it as well though, doesn't it, wont all this water flow into Lake Mead, should bring to water level up a bit
FIX your sewer system, for pete's sake. And just think of all that water going out into the desert rather than being diverted to a reservoir where it could be saved and cleaned for future human use. WHAT A WASTE. What are you paying taxes for, Las Vegas?
The water flows into channels, then out to lake LV and lake mead. Research before commenting.
the MEDIA: turn around dont drown
also the MEDIA: lets add to the traffic problem by sending dozens of non essential reporters to these same places
Warnings!!!!...lots of warnings...of a catastrophic event coming..Omg. 😔
chicken little
Yeah it's really insane with the gaslighting going on, trying to convince people "NOTHING like this has ever happened" when most of us older than 40 have seen it happen over and over again. This is nothing new!
What is coming? I want to know 😮
I wonder how many bodies will show up once the water recedes.
Usually when I visit Vegas it only floods in my bed.
You pee the bed? Why?
You got to go to the bathroom before going to sleep or stop spilling your water on the bed. Lol 🤷🏻♀️
@@jeecee3948Your comment made me crack up! Lol 😁
That’s funny!!
Is this a hidden dirty innuendo you just inserting slyly into the comment section of a news channel? 😂
Good have fun !!
Isn't that where the Hoover dam is??? Does that mean lots of energy...free, cheap or discounted???
1.) yes
2.) no
This happened in 1975. Took parts of the strip road...
Good nature you guys need all that water
I'm voting TRUMP 2024, can't wait, just saying
No one gonna mention that first frame?
We all focus on the reporters and all the flooding, I happened to glance down to the scrolling news..@ :36..I thought he died awhile ago! Ok.. back to regular news. 😉
