Wow! What a review. Thanks for all your opinions from the settings to on the road actually feel. I'm seriously looking into these for our 2021 Tri Glide. We're mid 60's and some physical issues. We want to keep riding and comfort is the key. Thank you again.
After watching part 1 of this series and talking with the owner of Super Shox, I'm pulling the trigger this Thursday. 6 to 8 weeks out, but they look worth it! Thanks again, ride safe!
@@Means2anEnd2025 Just remember the more travel on the shocks the better the ride. The ones installed are 14" gives you almost 3" travel. If you need to lower the bike ask about the lowering kit if needed. FYI I had them removed off the bike you see in the vid and had them installed on my 19 Limited .
Thanks for such a detailed review. Bought a '23 RKS last week and immediately started my hunt for rear shocks. Once I learned of Super Shox, I reached out to them with a couple of questionsl. They responded right away and I was sold. Your video really sealed the deal for me and I appreciate ya! Like you, I'm going with the 14". ✌🤘
Yes the more travel on your rear the better the ride that is what I learned from owning what is no my 5th bike. So if your an average to long inseam then you shouldn't need a lowering kit as I did since I am only 30" inseam and allows me to plant my feet to feel in control of balancing the bike while stopped. Thank for watching really appreicate your comment.
I love my Super Shoxs. I have now had mine 3 years and have put 16,000 ish miles on them. I run mine more stiff but I carry a lot in my saddle bags due to traveling.
Just picked up a “new to me” 2021 Street Glide Special. Will do seat 1st and then shocks. I know for sure I’m not going with Progressive. Super Shox is currently in 1st place for me.
I put a set of SuperShox Premium on my '16 Road Glide Ultra. Stock shocks are 13", Brian's SuperShox are 14" but with his adapters the rear is dropped about 1/2" and you get an inch more travel. Got about 300 miles on them and they're great. The difference between 2.5 and 2 is very noticeable. Nice cushy ride. The front end needs help though so I'm looking for cartridges. By the way, you sound just like my uncle from New Jersey.
Thanks for the review, I ordered my super shoxs a few weeks ago. They should arrive on Tuesday, looking forward to trying these out. I am sure these are better than stock. I also have the inseam challenge (30"). I can flat foot my RGS, but better handling is always a good thing. Ride safe
I hope they do you well on your rides. Did you order the lowering kit? that will also help you get your feet flat-footed. Let me know what you thoughts are after you put some miles after the installation. Remember to use the chart to set it for solo or you and passenger.
@@ontheothersideoftheroad Yes mine should come with the lowering kit. I will let you know how it goes after I take it out for a few miles. We have a poker run out here a few days after I get them. I think that will be a perfect time to test them out. Ride safe
Thanks for posting your review. I am considering Super Shox but I am researching what may be best option so thanks again for your review. I have a brand new 2023 Street Glide FLHX with less than 100 miles. I had the dealer install Chrome front lowers and decided to have him go ahead and install the Harley Profile Low Touring Front Suspension part # 45400218 at the same time. I understand that front lowering kit may be whats stock in your 2015 Low version but it did lower the front of my new bike a small amount. I understand my new bike has stock the low version adjustable spring shocks ( 12" stock shocks) and is shorter than the ST Street Glide. With my stock seat and me at 5'6" with a 29" +/- inseam and a bad right ankle I find I must lower this bike more! Sadly, even if I loose the ride but I need options. I reached out to Super Shox and was told with his setup I will drop 1/2" from what I have now. I don't think 1/2" will do it for me but... I am considering the 1/2" Super Shox may give me and perhaps changing my stock seat, or perhaps send my stock seat to Mean City Cycles and have the seat re-shaped? I could buy the Harley lower seat? After market brand lower seat? I considered the reach seat but it does not look right on my bike. I like the look of the reach seat with a tour pack but I will never have the tour pack. I don't like the idea of adding air ride as its $$$ but if it will fix my issue and be reliable I may would consider air ride or any and all options. Or do I just do a $100 Advanblack 2 inch lowering blocks and roll with my stock shocks for a bit and suffer with the ride but know I won't drop my bike! When you are aging, short and have a bum ankle, the idea of flat footing becomes #1 on the list. I love the build quality of Super Shox and the knowledge, response and emails from the company is more than impressive so I hope I can become a a Super Shox customer but I got to get the bike hight down!
Hey thanks for watching and asking questions and hope I can answer the best I can. So most of your comments were addressed already in the Pt 1 and Pt 2 vids. Q1: After coming back from her trip she can tell right off the top leaving our block and heading for the highway that there was a huge difference in comfort. She was not feeling the hard jolts as before when I had Progressive 944. That being said she really couldn't ride for long periods b/c of her back issues but now that has changed with Super Shox and the xtra travel combined with the settings for two-up riding. Q2: I'm 5'6" 29" inseam and as you can see in the Pt 2 vid how well my feet were to the ground. Adding the provided lowering kit really made a difference for my confidence in having more stability while sitting at a traffic light or coming to a stop sign. Q3:The Progressive 944 were 13" and that was the first problem why the ride was not cutting it for me b/c it didn't have enough travel, with the Super Shox 14" and a 3" travel with the provided lowering kit took the bike down a good 1/2" I think it felt more like an 1" but that is what the MFG says it is. It was night and day after the install. Dialing in the setting was super easy, if it felt stiff then turn the bell one line at a time until you find yours. Just to be clear I am not supported by the MFG in any compensation form these are just my personal opinion b/c this was something I needed to address for my ride to be right and wanted to share them.
Rear shocks affect comfort. Front shocks affect handling. Doing both front and rear really makes a difference. Good investment for your safety in keeping rubber connected to the pavement.
Absolutely agree, thing is the bike is a 15 FLHTKL Ultra Limited Low so the bike was lowered in the factory 1" in the front and 1" in the rear but owning this bike made me see the flaws made for shorter riders like myself and this is why I bought the 14" rear with a lowering kit to keep my feet planted. If I knew all this was going to be a terrible ride I would have never purchased the bike. I currently have a standard hieght 19 FLHTK and had the Super Shox transfered over to the bike to retain comfort and still have the rear lowered. Thanks for stopping by.

How hard was it for you to dial in the shocks? I just put on the same 14” pair in the rear and took a ride. It feels similar to stock. Maybe a hair better. I’ve adjusted it twice already. Yes. I reached out to the owner Brian. He ended up sending new springs to rebuild the shocks. I rebuilt them yesterday. Going for a test ride today. From what I can tell the springs were way too stiff. I was all the way to a 4 setting to get the shocks to sag properly. With the new springs I’m at 1.5 to get the correct sag. I’m optimistic the spring swap will do the trick.

I have a '23 Road Glide (Standard)
Shock purchased: Super Shox Premium 13.5" FLH/FLT 02 - Present w/RelocationMount

Did you reach out to Super Shox and talk to them about your concerns? They are super responsive and helpful. They also have a 30 day money back guarantee you could have taken advantage of if they didn't make you happy.
@@michaelcouey1383 I was told to take picture of shocks with measuring tape, but I'm well past 30 days. So, I'm just chalking it up to a bad purchase and lesson learned. Still, in my own experience, I cannot recommend these shocks.
@@phillipbaeza1080 Did you try the correct method of making adjustments by measuring your sag? then you can dial them in during rides as I did in the vid.
