Said this before, stock looks so much better, Custom Dynamics need to go back to the drawing board, smoke lens looks great before startup, but those lights leave way to much damage behind!
I totally get where you’re coming from and agree, if you have no intentions of changing the fender or doing some paint match stuff where you can just have the fender resprayed, I don’t recommend this route unless you’re okay with rough around the edges
For your information anytime you connect electrical devices with load equalizers to a Harley-Davidson it is not user-friendly with the tssm it will create diagnostic codes so good luck to all you lame-o's that like to ride a Christmas tree down the road
@@kevinblane3211 they did throw diagnostic codes the first time cycling front and rear brakes, after that no issues or diagnostic codes either present or historic. Confirmed by Harley Davidson service. Stay salty!
No side visibility with those lights. Way to recessed for safety reasons. If they were closer to the edge of bags they would be alot nicer. JMO. Nice job though

They look great and love the wiring ideas. You’re right on. Custom Dynamics does make a black piece that goes around them. That will hide the bolts as an FYI. Love what you’re doing with the channel man

I like the look, but i also like having the orange color for a blinker. Maybe they can make a version of these that has oranfe lights for blinkers in between the space of the red lights.
Not to go off subject here but you hooked a headset up for ur Apple CarPlay to work in an earlier video. Do you have to carry that headset with you when you ride?
Yes to use Apple CarPlay either the headset or a plug in solution to fool the bike into thinking there is a headset. I have “Tim’s Stereo Systems” fooler that plugs in under the seat so I don’t need the headset. You can find him on Facebook with that name and dm him for information and to order!

A lot of states helmets aren’t mandatory. 🤷🏻♂️ Stoopid ya carry that headset w/the speakers and mic plugged into it so the radio recognizes it or it won’t work! I have the same bike. I also did the Custom Dynamic Taillights. I did a very simple DYI for the holes on the fender. I Got some gorilla duck tape and covered the holes inside the fender. Then I got some white paint on the duck-taped holes looks great. Not even the same color white but because of the angle when looking at it and the small holes, you can't even tell.
Great to see the options on the 2024 rear, not sure which direction I'm going yet. I will say I had Custom Dynamics LEDs all over my previous SG, loved the plug-n-play and brightness. I even emailed them to try get some sportbike LEDs built (RC-51) and the customer service/tech support was on point. First brand I looked at after getting my 24 home.
Great job of showing the install. Like your detail approach with wiring. You are 100% right for doing it that way. Like to see what you will do with the fender holes.

Hey, it looks great! I did the same thing to my ’24 RG in Blue Burst a few weeks back. Just got back from a week-long trip to Panama City, FL, and didn’t have any problems with other drivers seeing me.
I get it, it’s not for everyone, the route I’m going with the bike will be trying many different things to share them all with you guys and find out what I like best along the way, thank you for the continued support!🙌
Never loved the stock tail light setup. Custom dynamics ftw. You may be able to find white silicone plugs for the holes. Check out their saddlebag latch lights and fork reflector lights, they're awesome and drastically up the side visibility!!
With the deep set of the lights how visible are the brakes and blinkers to others not directly behind you? There is a video idea!! thinking highway. They do look good.
Guess Taste is subjective.. I also don't mind the Stocks... I would like to Smoke them out.. And i thought they were LEDs already so not sure why the need for the resistors. I was under impression that it was needed when going from the older Incandescent lights.. I guess there is a different "power Pull" on the CD lights. Good vid as always !!
Yeah I was surprised to see a resistor was required as well for the exact reason you layed out. My only uneducated guess would be that the new stock Hd led tail lights have a resistor built in and by removing the stock tail lights the resistor needs to be replaced with this? I think they’re a good upgrade. I follow a shop on facebook that recessed the stock taillights and made them more flush. Thought it looked a lot better than stock

The stocks look great. If you don’t like them there are plenty 22’s and 23’s with low mileage for sale. Enough with the Autozone looking aftermarket electronics. Most of us buy a 2024 to look like a 2024. Most of the ones hating just can’t afford a new bike..
Knowing you, you’re going to fabricate a piece of metal with welded studs that go through the holes… You do nice work… Could you fabricate that piece of metal and have it come down to cover the bolts And the bracket and have it powder coated black?

Didn’t the stock sticker out so you could see them indicating from the side, any liability of them being recessed and not viewable from side traffic? Enjoyed the video regardless.
I agree with what you said in the beginning… They look like bug eyes… I said the same thing as soon as I saw the 2024’s came out… I originally said they looked like the eyes of a Looney Tunes cartoon character😂

The D.O.T. requires that the tail lights are flush or past the saddlebags. I kinda like them so I'm leaving mine on. Like your channel so I officially SUBSCRIBED.
@@UnrulyRider I guess I should have went into an in depth explanation for the stupid. Harley has to follow D.O.T. regulations. You can put your tail lights on the back of your ASS cheeks for all I care.
The main reason i wanted a Special and not a standard 2022, was because of the stretched bags. Now you have a bigger engine, newer bike, with standard looking bags. This thing still looks like an Indian no matter what you do to it
I dunno. Those aftermarkets look like some Temu or Wish lights. Nobody is doing individual LEDs anymore, they're more tube and clean ... oh, much like the stock lights.

I'd like to see an option where you can keep the stock look, but with smoked lenses.
I think the stock looks good . The aftermarket ones do look awesome. Just seems like something is missing now .

Man idk. I get the brightness aspect but I’m iffy on the looks. I like that the turn signals are orange instead of red honestly.
The biggest problem with those is getting an inspection sticker in many states. The lights can't be recessed in that far.
You need to adjust your right shock as per the instructions in owners manual.

You understand the entire look of the bike changed. It wasn't just the taillights that made the 24 different.
I really wish Custom Dynamics would make a new taillight that fits in the stock location. I’m not a fan of deleting the factory taillights.

I think by recessing the lights like that you limited your visibility from the sides. but you did a great job installing them running the wires.
I finally got to ride my 2024 RG
Just finished my 500 miles
Now you need the brake light strobe plug n play since your lights are recessed deeper. Takes five minutes to plug into the harness
