      ​@@ChristmasPterodactyl or, basically, trolling, In other games (like card games/turn based games) it can be things like stall (especially in pokemon) in a way, And in PVZ heroes (relatively forgotten pvz Spinoff that's kept alive by a channel named Fryemup), you can Purposefully do a RNG play when you COULD be able to just defeat the enemy hero then and there, stalling the game even further.

    Instadrop actually wears off after long enough. If the user goes 1000 seconds (16 minutes 40 seconds) without being KOd, they lose the instadrop ability for the rest of the match.

    13:16 you can actually fully stop this final smash like this, it’s very difficult but it was in a beefy smash dudes video on smash review and they managed to fully stop it with bowser. The final smash never ran out (or at least yeah it’ll take forever to run out) and both players were just stuck until they moved bowsers fire breath

    Regarding Instadrop, it kinda treated like a transformation/wearable like giant/Bunny Hood, some of which are removed with Final Smashes. Like transformations/wearables, it runs out over time, it just has an unreasonably long timer of 60000 frames, or 1000 seconds (16m40s). If it runs out, you can no longer Instadrop, even after respawning. Though if you respawn before it runs out, the timer refreshes. Not sure if that is related to Peach/Daisy given the ability to Instadrop still persists without a hitbox.

      @@SureyD It is 60000 in the parameter files. Meshima (a data miner) made a spreadsheet a while ago with the values for spirits. I don't think I can link his tweet here, but the tweet ID is 1232660901666254848. In that spreadsheet, the relevant values can be found by searching for mach_stamp in the "spirits" tab. There is another tab with the internal code names, but it is hidden (so you need to make your own copy of the sheet and unhide it) and is not in a very user-friendly format.

      @@SureyD It is 60000 in the files. I also tested it a while back and it was about 16m40s (it would be weird for my recording to skip a full minute (64000 frames is 17m46s)). I tried replying yesterday with a source but I think it got filtered, so just trust me (or search for Meshima_'s data).

    Possibly not a very obscure fact, but ryu’s position isn’t locked when using either of his final smashes. If you place him on a rolling crate and shinku hadoken, the knock back from the shinku will be applied to the cart, and by extension Ryu.This even lets you combo the opponent during and after your own final smash. This doesn’t work with similar final smashes like Mario’s. If you set the cart already rolling when you shin shoryuken an opponent, you can even lose a stock during the final smash, or have the final smash continue but leave the confines of the camera. It’s fun to mess around with

    I have a fact
    1. Open stamina mode
    2. pick stage (mementos preferred)
    3. pick cloud for you
    4. pick anyone else (you need 3 controllers btw) and wait for the match to load up.
    5. have the player with the lowest hp get final smashed by cloud
    6. go up to the high platform and start attacking the player in the FS
    7. the player in the FS gets insta KO 'ed and cloud will be attacking nothing. (Also works with Robin, Ike, Greninja, Ommislash ver 5, and Mii Brawlers FS)
    This is because normally when you lose all of your hp you just get insta killed. Try it out!

      I've did this myself and you and the cloud player need to be on the same team, if it's a ffa it won't work. You have to be on the same team.

    The smash meter is so flawed because you lose half of it when you die and the person taking more damage gets more. It also leads to camping. It just feels so stack on rather than intentionally put it to make for a better experience

      You don't ALWAYS lose half when you die.
      First, you only lose meter charge upon death if you died with a full charge. Considering the invincibility most Final Smashes confer, you can just mash FS as a self-rescue maneuver, rather than using it as an attack.
      Second, the amount you lose depends on position. If you were winning, you lose half. If you were tied, you lose a quarter of it, and if you're losing, you lose an eighth (meaning a couple good hits gives it right back).

    Beefy Smash Dudes got the Pacman thing to work by angling Pacman's final smash down by one and doing the fire breath. It's infinite, that is until Bowser lets go because the final smash won't finish until it gets through the whole thing.

    Whenever the game first came out, Alpharad did a Final Smash Tier list, but ig it wouldn't hurt to make a Final Smash Tier list to see how they fare nowadays.
    Ye, Zelda's Final Smash is still top tier. Peach/Daisy's follows close behind

    Whenever I play smash I play a 20-stock 8 player free for all with final smashes on so I am well acquainted with cutscene final smashes bringing you out of free fall, it's even saved me a stock a couple times

    Another very notable “effect” that gets cleared by cutscene final smashes is ledge grabbing. You just fall off ledge and need to pay attention and recover.

    10:11 i think that Incineroar's FS is an actual command grab, while othe FS have both grab-like proprieties and normal hit ones. Think about it, Incineroar's FS doesn't damage the opponent when it grabs them. Other FS that you tested do.

      Other FS are pseudo grabs, probably sharing some code with grabs but not actually full-on grabs. While Incineroar's FS is just a command grab with a cutscene attached to it.

    Based on what I know from programming, my based on nothing total speculation theory to why Peach's final smash cancels that hitbox is maybe the hitbox asset that checks to see if someone is in range of peach's fall asleep range is named the same thing as that hitbox that's attached to Mario. So when the final smash happens it rewrites what that hitbox is supposed to do, and then goes away with her fs ending. Which would explain why it comes back when losing a stock, as it gets reloaded. Sounds like a stretch but you'd be surprised by the amount of times assets that you can't see end up having wrong names. Again just speculation, what a weird specific quirk.

    What I don't understand is when you equip a very OP spirits and attack an opponent with a very low spirit (I like doing this in with HP to do crazy huge dmg combos lol) your attacks can deal up to 300 damage but your final smash barely deals the double amount than a normal one.
    It's weird, maybe it's a nerf so it's not like a one shot or something but I hate this

    This is something about ICs' CPU in general, but even at lvl 9 as cpu they simply do not perform at the same level as a human ICs player, most notably due to the uniquely human requirements for pulling off any of their desyncs in any intentional capacity. This means that they are designed in such a way that makes them _only_ truly viable in human hands, as they are clearly intended to be able to desync. This, alongside the fact that only the primary climber is considered a fighter by the game (which affects everything from spirits to items to final smashes), makes their amiibo among the hardest, if not _the_ hardest, if not *simply impossible* to train up to a viably competitive level

    a weird thing i found out on complete accident, if you leave the game running for extremely long periods of time on sephiroth's win screen, the fire effects will start glitching and rendering weirdly (we accidentally left the switch on for 2 weeks)
    i actually got a recording of it since it was weird, i think i still have it somewhere

    Dark Pit's Final Smash isn't a projectile. The hitbox is only there to stun and then the knockback is a grabless throw for some reason. That's how Light Arrow worked too even in Brawl.

    Fun Fact about Bayonetta's Witch Time counter is that it can completely invalidate Zelda's ultimate.
    I say "can" because if you mess up the timing, the shockwaves can send you flying into the ultimate if you're too close.
    The shockwaves can be countered by Bayonetta's witch time, which gives her enough time to run away a bit and counter again and repeat the process.

      Teleporters don't affect Pacman's final smash, the only reason why he stops for fire breath is because he's "eating" the projectiles.

      @@elijahallen2310 The wind is to push Charizard backward so Pac-Man doesn’t catch up. The teleporters would be there to move Charizard across the map to the beginning before Pac-Man gets him. Then Pac-Man can presumably Pac-Man around the stage to continue eating fire.

    11:40 fun fact: opposite to what most people probably expect, this does NOT apply to incineroar's revenge (down b) buff. incineroar will not get a damage buff on his final smash even with full revenge stacks................................ sort of.
    to preface, incineroars final smash actually has an initial, small, physical hitbox that comes out when its first activated. you have to be pretty close to your enemy to hit this. normally this adds a grand total of 6% to your final smash, bringing it from the usual 63% to 69% (nice).
    if incineroar hits somebody with JUST the GRAB portion of his final smash, it will NOT benefit from the revenge damage boost, dealing the usual 63%. however... IF incineorar has revenge and hits somebody with the initial physical hitbox, that 6% damage actually DOES appear to be revenge boosted! it goes from 6% to a whopping... 10%!!
    however, it is not that simple. for reasons i am completely naive to, in my own testing, sometimes, seemingly randomly, ONLY when you have revenge stacks, hitting ONLY the grab portion of the final smash WILL apply that small, additional damage prior to the cut-scene. the even more bizarre thing is that when that random pre-damage application happens from the grab alone, it deals... 7%. not the normal 6, not the normal revenge-boosted 10, but a random third amount.
    if anyone can divine the consistency behind this mechanic, i believe it is you, youtube micro-celebrity PKBeats. please. put my soul to rest. i died due this this by the way i forgot to say that

    Olimar’s Final Smash just completely does not work on the training stage. Due to the funky camera the bulborbs won’t actually chomp anything and the stars get super close together in the middle of the screen

    f smash meter was a nice way to make them less random, but it didnt rly make them competitive because theyre still too strong and too unbalanced, bc theyre prolly balanced around 4 player smash, not 1v1 comp rules
    also for certain characters that have a harder time hitting their final smash, theyll get camped tf out, and we dont need any more camping
    balancing would be rly off too, like peach is already top 10, then you give her a top 3 final smash in the game, she would be the best character without question
    itd be mad cool if final smash could be viable competitively in smash 6, but i highly double it, bc if it was competitively viable itd prolly feel weak in 4v4 or higher

    13:40 could you have a custom stage set up with platforms 1 block above and have multiple charzards so all charzards are firing into Pac Man? The hit should push zard back into the other zards so they’re all lined up on the edge of their platforms

    Actually there is a way to make the pac man's final smash glitch endless pac man needs to jump and angle his final smash as Bowser/Charizard are using neutral B that would actually make the final smash endless as long as the Bowser/Charizard hold B

    Final Smashes are too big for Smash to really get to leave them on and the fact that you can camp for meter only exacerbates that problem

I've watched through your whole catalog and I think I'll at least vaguely remember everything youve covered before.     If I recall correctly, Joker's final smash can only grab a maximum of three players (though I could be wrong on that)
    I wonder whether, if you have 7 frozen players all right next to each other and Joker hit the group with his final smash, they'd all unfreeze or just the ones that got pulled in. Or would it not matter because the cutscene would unfreze them anyway?
