      Hi,
      Just wanna ask since this factors the worker's travel time. How big of a factor is travel time? Acacia timber has pretty good price compared to cedar but further from town. Can you enlighten me on this one?

      It matters quite a bit. I recommend you check out the advanced guide if you want to learn more about worker mechanics.

    Good gosh. THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking the time to put these videos together. BDO is such an overwhelming game, unlike any MMO i've ever played. It's so extremely helpful to have crystal clear guides like this with detailed explanations to illustrate the reasoning behind each one. All the guides of yours have been well spoken and informative, along with the additional details you include in the text.

    For new players: To unlock excavation nodes (such as Trace of Savagery), talk to the node manager, invest in the node, then talk to them again and choose the option to spend 35 energy.
    For everyone: Advanced Node Guide is here! th-cam.com/video/GhhC_zs-rOc/w-d-xo.html

      It's 35x 10 energy right?
      That's quite a bit.

    • @MorrolanTV
      @MorrolanTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Only excavation nodes require energy to unlock. The other 9/10 of these nodes don't have any prerequisites.

    Node system was one of the most confusing things for me. As a beginner with limited CP, it's good to know which nodes I should prioritize in getting. Much appreciation for taking your time to make this guide.

  • @Baagag
    @Baagag 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    With some of this nodes; when you say "get the most out of the node" you mean you gotta be in the screen/feeding your goblins very, VERY regularly, so all of this Goblin stuff is a big no-no if you. . . you know. . . have a life.
    But I love that you went for the min/maxing, we really need more of this in youtube, every BDO channel out there just regurgitates what the last one said, this set up is pretty unique, you'll go places.

    • @MorrolanTV
      @MorrolanTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You gotta feed them about every 3 to 4 hours, that's not too bad even for people with superior RLs like yourself. Even at work many people can use an app like Teamviewer to feed their workers since it only takes 5 seconds.

    this actually really gave me a lot of insight into how the node system worked in the game, i'm brand new to the game and was always under the understanding that you just wanted to have every city connected (i.e velia to heidal) but i see thats not the case. so i have quite a few CP to reinvest and hopefully more money will roll in :D ty, earned a sub.

  • @vree_

    Sometimes I come back to your old vids an man was BDO a way more balanced game back then and not just "grind 24/7". Original BDO devs truly made a one-of-a-kind game. Haha and that pirate node that never did anything but still felt nice to have maxed out. :D

  • @Remixthisgaming
    @Remixthisgaming 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love this video and am using it along side your tool. My only issue is a couple of the nodes are listed higher than others when they clearly take more CP to get to than others. When trying to connect all major cities, there is a most efficient way to spend CP. After that the CP values are different based on how far off the pathway they are. Lumberjack for instance is extremly out of the way as it requires 6 CP to connect to Opposed to LongLeaf. The closest marketplace for this node is Calpheon so unless you have a maid, the items will have to be transported anyways which can be troublesome to do manually. And this is even before talking about the expansion.
    I'm not trying to call you out because I appreciate all the hard work and tips. Ive watched this about 8 times now, but Its just something I noticed and hoped possibly a newer player will use.

  • @badkitty3559
    @badkitty3559 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Nice videos :-)
    Just want to clear this out to all the new players out there.
    This is for PASSIVE income! You don't really need all of these nodes if what you want to craft doesn't require the materials a node gives.
    Do some planning, if you want to cook all youre going to need from nodes (for cooking) is Cooking Honey, Eggs, Fish, Grain(s) of choice.
    If you want to do some manufacturing then start with looking what materials the item you want to craft needs and get the node. IF the material cost on Marketplace costs like 400-500 then just buy it instead and invest on some other node your CP instead (imho).
    As you slowly grow then you can expand your empire.
    My point is, be smart, always get what you need for what you make, craft.
    No need to have a warehouse full of materials you never use, process etc.
    Also, Morolan has a lot of Contribution to spend and cash shop storage+lodging (I'm assuming?). Correct me if I'm wrong.
    Have a good day :-)

    Thanks for the information. I'm on my way to starter a BDO empire now.. only it's gonna take some time because I just started.
    A few questions I can't seem to find the answer to:
    1) do workers keep their skills when they tier up?
    2) what's the best way to get workers with specific skills? Or is it all down to RNG?

    • @Mernom
      @Mernom 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      1) They reset to lvl 1 with new skills when they promote.
      2) Once an artisan worker gets to lvl 30, insted of leveling up he gains points you can use to reroll skills.

    When you say trace of savagery is only good if your willing to do 20 minutes of alchemy. What are you talking about? What should we be converting the trace of savagery into?

    • @uncleray0001
      @uncleray0001 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mate, you can only use trace of savagery in a few recipes specifically. bddatabase.net/us/item/5956/
      Most people make Metal Solvent but if you're an alchemist, you can make tyrant's blood.
      Note, i think you need to be apprentice 1 or something to make metal solvent. If you're going to make metal solvent, you can process it again with another metal (iron/copper/etc) and sell it max price. :)

    #6 Lunch Farm Ruins doesn't give Trace of Savagery anymore. At least it doesn't for me... Only has one farm spot: the Silver azalea, no mining spot.
    Also #2: Cooking Honey doesn't give much silver anymore. I sold 300 on the market and only got around 100k. Maybe I'm misinterpreting the numbers though since I'm not using lv 30 artisan goblin.

    • @malcolmreynolds4099
      @malcolmreynolds4099 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it has but you need go to there to talk to the npc and "discover" it (i believe it is 35 energy)

    • @MorrolanTV
      @MorrolanTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To unlock excavation nodes (such as Trace of Savagery), talk to the node manager, invest in the node, then talk to them again and choose the option to spend 35 energy.
      Cooking honey has indeed gone down in price but remains a top tier node, and is likely to increase again in price if new players start to figure out how valuable the honey is for imperial cooking.

    can you do a video of node connection from Trent to Valencia and include basic storage, workers and crafting nodes. also include the total cp. I have 260 cp and I'm about to change everything and a lot of videos are outdated.

    • @MorrolanTV
      @MorrolanTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't recommend having Trent connected to Valencia at any time other than when you are about to do a big trade turn-in. It's a lot of wasted CP that could be making you money otherwise.
      The next video will provide a tool that helps you generate a complete node setup from start to finish regardless of your total CP.

    • @MorrolanTV
      @MorrolanTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can process the ore overnight but it doesn't become worthwhile unless you have a lot of +max weight and the cash shop processing costume to process directly from storage. Most of the ore I get I just sell back to the market raw.

  • @YonexCC
    @YonexCC 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Quick question Morrolan. So most of the materials you get from all these nodes you listed, are you just selling them straight up on the marketplace for max value? Or are you use the materials for crafting and then selling that crafted item such as the use of Trace of Savagery?

    • @MorrolanTV
      @MorrolanTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on the market, but for this list I use about half of these materials and I sell the other half. Some of these mats, like Palm, are way overpriced and I'd much rather sell them.

    You mentioned the cooking honey node possibly being #1 for people who cook, what dish would you prepare using the cooking honey for extra profit? I got all my workers to collect potato/wheat/corn for beer ever since I could use workers, so my cooking level is far higher (skilled1) than the rest of my life skills. That being said, I don't know much about cooking in general because I just spam made beer over and over.

    but you dont mention what to make to reach the 600k/cp.
    Thanks :D

    • @MorrolanTV
      @MorrolanTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The absolute best money with trace of savagery would be to make the metal solvent into pure zinc crystals, and then make the pure zinc crystals into 300k+ yuria weapons. But that requires some other materials, gathering, & contribution invested into a level 4 Weapons Workshop.
      Balenos/Epheria fishing rods are also a decent option if you don't want to do the extra work to get the hide & traces for Yuria crafting.

    Hey Morrolan, thanks for the in depth guide. Did you test the new Investment banks in particular the High Risk ones in Valencia and Altinova, since they require you a lot of contribution points I wonder if they give enough money per cp. Thanks in Advance

    • @MorrolanTV
      @MorrolanTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tested the low risk ones and they are incredibly bad, like 60k/CP under the best possible circumstances. The high risk ones might be better but honestly I was planning on just asking Balzor or Mickin :P

    • @MorrolanTV
      @MorrolanTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are two different kind of investment banks. He's asking about the new ones that don't require Rank 1 Houses. So far, the low investment ones are NEVER worth taking even if you have 400CP, but the high investment banks might be ok/mediocre.
      The other kind, that do require Rank 1 Houses, are actually very good, so Blade's data must be wrong/outdated. But in order to use them you need to spend a bunch of pearls to decorate a house, which most of us don't want to do. I recommend using Balzor's website for the best analysis of investment banks: blackdesertanalytics.com/afk_lifeskills/investment-banks/

    Hi Morro, question, what's the best way to come by all the artisan worker's required? Energy dumping on hiring them or..? I've never seen a professional or above via energy hiring so wondering if there's a different way to come by them aside from promotion.

    • @MorrolanTV

      You can energy dump but expect to spend thousands of energy per Artisan. It's just a slow process of promoting Professionals for the most part.

      It depends on the node. You want your worker's work speed to be higher then the work load of the node. If it's close and a giant can achieve it, then he'll be better than a goblin since he has more stamina. That's also the case if getting more work speed then work load is impossible.

    How do you get artisan workers? besides buying them. I only find skilled workers when getting them.

    Hi in the video you mentioned a system that is in place that varies the speed of the node working depending on how many people have workers gathering from that node. How do you know such a system exists? Thanks!

    So in most of the nodes you mentioned you suggest to use goblins, is it viable to use humans instead in case I don't want to babysit feed my workers beer? It gets tedious holding a bunch of beer while grinding.

    • @MorrolanTV
      @MorrolanTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'll still make money with humans, just not as much. You can also swap to an alt in town to feed your workers instead of carrying beer. With Artisan goblins you only have to feed them about once every 3-4 hours.

    So, I have a question here. You get your stuff from example Heidel Nodes and sell them to Calpheon Marketplace? If I sell them to Heidel Marketplace is it diffrent? Can someone shed some light over this because I am a bit confused. Thank you.

    OK, Grate video etc... Good info for some one like me that Hate crafting and all that shit :) BUT the reality is that its to good to not do it. So the question is What do you cook with the honey and what alchemy thing do you make from the savage thing from node next to it? because you say ''if you don't mind the 20 min a month'' -- i don't mind i just don't have a Clue :P

      Metal solvant. From there you can make pure metal shards, and from there Yuria weapons is a good option. See which one sells the best for the most first.

    Question, new to the game, how much time do you spent restoring stamina on workers each day? How long does it last? Surely the fast goblins run out of stamina quickly?

    • @rubberducky27
      @rubberducky27 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really depends on the workers you got and where you send them. Workers use up one stamina for one task, means an artisan goblin can run 15 tasks before needing a refill. Thats like 3-6h afk time for the most nodes.

    • @MorrolanTV
      @MorrolanTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really necessary since each node requires exactly one worker and the numbers on screen are primarily used to compare nodes to other nodes

  • @friedricehewo5880

    I'm a really new player and haven't really gone far into the node/worker system of the game. I'm just wondering, if I were to make use the city Velia as a base city, what would be the best way to use my contribution points when purchasing buildings for workers and storage?

    • @Mernom
      @Mernom 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd reccomend heidel. It has much more houses to get, velia barely has any.
      For storage houses, you want to divide how many storage slots you get by the amount of CP you need to invest in that house. 1 CP lvl 1 storage houses have a rate of 3 slots per 1 CP. 2 CP lvl 2 storage houses have a rate of 5 slots per 2 CP, which is 2.5 . So you're actualy better off having two lvl 1 houses that cost 1 CP then 1 lvl 2 house that costs 2 CP. Naturaly, a lvl 2 house that costs 1 CP is even better.
      Keep an eye for good housing, you'll get the best ones eventualy.

    When you give the silver per day count are you calculating a 24 hour day? Reason I ask is that goblins have to be fed fairly regularly and I'm wondering if I need to take that into account. Maybe at artisan, the goblin doesn't have to be fed more than once per day.

    • @m_sedziwoj
      @m_sedziwoj 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think is for 3 times feeding, so each 8h (before sleep, after sleep, after job/school)

    • @MorrolanTV
      @MorrolanTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's based on being asleep/afk for 9 hours every day, and then being able to periodically check my workers every 3 hours or so while I'm awake.
      If you're gone for significantly longer than 3 hours during the day for work/school/etc and you can't check in, the best worker might change for you.
      You can use this tool to compare your available workers and see which one is best for any particular node: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SXKyuvAO36ZJPe-4q_pp6too6Fnrq9Gs9mKcnUUcotc/edit#gid=0

    All theese nodes who need 150 workspeed.. i have many artisan goblins but none of them have 150 workspeed.. Is it better to use human for theese nodes?
    Also if a anode has 100 workspeed.. does it matter if i have a yellow goblin with 101 workspeed rather then an artisaan one with 148 ? Thx man gr8 guide!

    • @MorrolanTV
      @MorrolanTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      An artisan human will be better than a goblin without 150, but if you stick with the human you never get a chance to get the best in slot worker. And no, if the node has 100 workspeed, all workers above 100 will do the node in 10 minutes + whatever the distance is

    i've returned do BDO just recently and basicly am a huge noob. so sorry for the question: how much is it worth to spend energy on the nodes? and do you put the energy in e.g. "coastal cave" or the actual mining spot itself? if you have a written guide around and rather want to give me this (maybe it's a bigger deal than i might think) than giving a short answer, it'd be fine by me, too. thanks in advance and thanks for the content!

    • @Mernom
      @Mernom 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The general opinion is that it does nothing for gathering nodes.
      Some say it improves monster drops, but opinions are split on that as well. I'd say use your energy to get logs or other things you can't get out of nodes, or if you have enough money, on the Night Vendor. (I got my dandy off of him :-)
      If you're grinding in a single area, you might want to invest in it and increase it's level. Try getting it to 3 and see if you notice any difference in drop rates.

      Depends on how good your goblins are and how long you're away from the computer. Use the worker comparison tool if you need help figuring it out docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SXKyuvAO36ZJPe-4q_pp6too6Fnrq9Gs9mKcnUUcotc/edit#gid=0

      You'll need to upgrade some, if you're not planning to go all P2W on that. Start small, and add to that when you see that you're running out of space.

    Why is 150 workspeed so relevant? Is a 149 work speed 10 move speed (or whatever is on the high end) inferior to a 150 work speed 5 move speed (or whatever is on the low end) ?

    • @MorrolanTV
      @MorrolanTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      We'll go over this is the advanced video, but yes, 149 work speed is significantly worse than 150. Work speeds are calculated in thresholds, or "trips," so on a 150 speed node, everything from 75-149 is the same. You don't save a trip, or any time, until you hit the 150 mark.
      For many nodes the workloads are 200 so goblins aren't necessary - a human with 100 speed tends to be the best because he has more stamina and either worker will take 2 trips regardless (it's impossible to get 200 speed on a goblin even with perfect rolls).

      The only materials that don't easily sell at max price are the honey & palm. In those cases you just have to do a bit of undercutting. They sell in stacks of 500 so it's not much work.

    What do you do with the metal solvent to get 1.2k mill daily from trace of savagery?

  • @KuroKoden
    @KuroKoden 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Something like the cooking honey node, why wouldn't you want to use a goblin? Since its so close to town and produces only a single item (so luck isn't required) wouldn't you just want a goblin for max work speed? Minus them needing more attention to keep their stamina up whats the advantage of a human vs goblin on this node?

    • @MorrolanTV
      @MorrolanTV  7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I'll explain this more in the next video, but the human is definitely better. Workspeed between 100 and 199 is equivalent on a 200 workspeed node. Since a 200 speed goblin doesn't exist, it's better to use a human who will be just as fast, but have more stamina to work while you're asleep.
