- This piece was recorded as the choir emerged from lockdown as part of the VOCES8 Live from London Christmas Festival 2021. The choir had had very little live rehearsal time in preparation for this recording, but was pleased to be able to take part and contribute to the festival.

I’ve listened to many versions of this hymn but this is brilliant ,
I can't tell you how many times I've listened to this, it's just absolutely beautiful 🎶💓. The best version I've ever heard and the choir and pianist are fantastic. I love it 💕

Well well well! I've listened to many versions of this hymn and just come across this for the first time. Straight away it has entered my top five. Perhaps it's not up to the musical purists' standards, but my God their joy and sincerity really do take it across the line. Well done young people, and thank you! 🇮🇪

That was wonderful. I found a version of this arrangement a couple of years ago, sung by Jussi Bjorling - a fantastic Swedish tenor - from the 1930s and have been looking for a choral version ever since. Today I found it. Worth the wait.

It is not written for soloists!
Give the soloists a rest, let the (4) choirs take centre stage, you will love the result.
