The high note at 4:12 always sorts the singers from the triers. She knew exactly where to go; HIT IT directly with no upslide or uncomfortable leaps; no facial contortions; no nervous tension in her voice or composure; just clean and clear ... unlike so many try-hard pop stars.
Celine Dion still sings it better. This woman has an incredible voice but it’s a bland, predictable, vanilla performance. Nice hear once but I could listen to the try hard pop star’s performance over and over just because it’s so much more interesting.

You mean Dion adds more trills and slides and bells and whistles (in true American fashion). Dion is a pop diva. Barry is a true singer of far better voice because she DOESN'T NEED to dress up a melody for cheap emotional effects.
@@thedolphin5428 Celine Dion is Canadian, but other than that, I agree with you. Dion has a strong voice, but it's that pop sound, and that sound gets old. Barry makes it about the music, not about her.

This is one of the finest versions of this song I have ever heard. It holds to the original version but done extremely well, both the instrumentals and the fantastic lead voice. The way you handle the high note at the end is one of a kind. Just beyond beautiful.
