@@danielschuett Yeah, sure. You need to use a Leonardo because you can reprogram the USB chip to become a device. You can use this library: github.com/MHeironimus/ArduinoJoystickLibrary/tree/version-1.0 I debounced the switches with capacitors, but apparently that's not ideal as it increases the voltage going through the switch and burns them out faster. I haven't had a problem though... yet. I mounted 8 momentary and 4 latching illuminated switches in a metal project enclosure and hooked them up to the digital io pins. I then used the 5v out of the Arduino to power the LEDs in the switches at a low level. I didn't want them to be too bright. If you want them brighter you might need a different power supply because obviously USB has a current limit. It's easy enough to calculate the resistors you need to use. Too bad the switches flip back and don’t stick in the up and down position, other then that this thing looks amazing.
I do agree with your modular setup, would it even better. Price tag is a bit above my budget sadly. Then again, this thing looks like something you would put in a cockpit replica, and if you want to do it right, you shouldn’t skimp on it.

Yes but by not paying he can give his honest opinion
He bought a throttle, a joystick and a base, all for his own money earlier this year and the joystick review got 26K+ views so I can see why Virpil would send him this panel for review for free. Last I visited their forum, they had more customers than they could handle, so they might not need to send out review samples. I think it is a good sign that a company sends out samples to a few TH-camrs who in my book seems to give honest reviews. I see it as "we want some people to put our devices to the test even if we are selling as many as we can build".
