Larry and Jen, Thanks for recalling Paddle to the Sea; it was among my first books. That story is about the Lake Superior watershed, so a longer trip than the Ptarmigan Creek one. Love your videos. Sometime show us one of you hauling in a big halibut. CQ
Really beautiful weather for a day in May.. We want to come to Alaska, so we have been watching the weather forecasts to try and figure out the best time to come. I appears that it starts raining in August. Maybe May and June are best? Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Much like the states, Memorial Day to Labor Day is best for weather in most of Alaska. If you’re a salmon fisherman, spring for reds (sockeye), summer for kings (chinook), & late summer/early fall for silvers (coho).
Absolutely. As a matter of fact, our sense of urgency to get a toad isn’t as strong as it was when we started, in no small part to the question “Do we really need one?”. Thank you so much for subscribing & commenting!
Nice and serene, looks like a nice place to nap after walking around.
It’s most definitely the Last Frontier away from the hamster wheel 😎
Wow!Reminds me of Colorado on steroids! Thank you for taking us.
Thanks Dan! We often point out how it’s like the Great Lakes, Rocky’s, New England & the Wild West all rolled together. 😊

Thank you Charles, a super memorable book here at the cabin as well. Stay tuned for some fishing adventures soon 😎
Beautiful video, love your bus!
Thanks Woody, we love sharing our beautiful state & bus 😎

Absolutely stunning. I wanna be in Alaska. Can you do Alaska without a toad?

A beautiful campground, stunning views, all to yourself.
Does it get any better?
Better? Only if we could’ve stayed longer 😉
can you give us the road number and a general location?
like between this and that?
Seward Highway, Milepost 23.1. Thanks for watching Randy!
