THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was struggling for months with this, and apparently no one online (including Apple support) knows that those connectivity issues are caused by the built-in firewall, finally I can use my Mac/iPad in complete combination without problems, you're a lifesaver ❤
I bought a new macbook for the first time and this issue was bothering me but thankfully it's solved now! On the "Apple ID > Overview" tab, it mentioned I should sign out and sign in for things to work, but when I followed the process the tab would just freeze and nothing would happen (It wouldn't even let me quit the tab). After like a whole day of trying and sleeping on it (and now watching this video), I realized there was a new macbook update. After updating my system to Monterey, and doing the "Apple ID > Overview" thing again, Airplay started working! :) very happy thank you for the support.
This fixed my issue! Had to allow AirPlay for everyone on the Mac. Surprised there’s not more info out there on how to set this up the first time. Thanks!
Thank you! Just spent the afternoon trying to fix this. Turned out that disabling & then reenabling handoff & airplay on my iPhone solved the issue, thanks!
My Mac doesn't say System preference, so I would assume that system settings would be the same. I don't have a folder that says "sharing". I'm using the new M1 Mac.

Hi, I’m using a dock. It will airplay on TH-cams app, but not on any websites. This did work on iOS 14, not a problem. But when I updated, it suddenly didn’t work. Everything will mirror fine. But it won’t full screen or show airplay on my iPad.
@@Fix.369 Could not get my iPhone to screen mirror to my Mac as I did up to a few weeks ago. Someone else suggested I reset, "Location and privacy". I did this and now it seems to work OK. Thanks though..

Installed monterey on m1 macmini official release and ios 15.1 on iphone 6s. Airplay working without any issues.
