Thanks for the honest review. I think they should’ve put an extension jack so you can run it into a cab if needs be. That would make it a great back up amp for the gigging metal players out there.

It's 100 watts...it's very loud on its own. Also it may not sound as good with guitar speakers vs the reference speaker in it.

He mentioned going from 1 preset to the next with a big difference in output. Well, what you can say about most pedals is that they usually have adjustable levels. I don’t see how you can beat your own choice of pedal FX with the overdrives into the front of the amp, (tube amp, of course), and the mod pedals thru the loop! 🥴

For the haters out there , you won’t expect good sound from your phone , from rooms , from microphones
From guitars and more importantly from the actual
Guitar player itself. I’ve heard this amp from other
Reviews, it’s not aimed specifically at a specific
Genre of music, it’s aimed for players who enjoy
Playing without the hassle of plugging in again and
Again , or buying extra pedals extra amps . Plus
It’s super easy to use and reasonably priced

What app controls the bluetooth, I can’t find it on the apple store, I just bought this amp yesterday because the 6150+ combo that i ordered came in in two pieces and I am starting to feel like i made a mistake by purchasing it.

Hi Justin, the app is available on IPAD (not iPhone yet). I have the X2 and it’s sounded really good for metal stuffs. I use the tbsc + 6505 most of the time (tbsc = tube screamer). The only thing that is missing, it’s the control of the noise gate. They have one but cannot be adjusted.

Inability to go direct to FOH while beinga stage monitor kills its unprecended versatility, as being able to have 1 amp with enough volume for rehearsals, for a bass and electric and acoustic is a great touch. Especially that it has fr speaker so micing itis also not an option as it already delivers miced sound.huuuuge fail.thanks for the heads up

Your review covered the electric guitar portion of this amp. They say you can plug an acoustic guitar or a bass guitar in this amp ! But no one, including you has touch on this how about a full review

Review is well done with the exception of the amp sounds like a herd of wasps chewing through tin foil.

You're listening through a mic, then through a compressed video, then through TH-cam compression, then through your PC, or phone speakers. Do you think this even remotely represents the sound in person? You must be new to music and video. You clearly don't understand how sound works.

The Katana is very limited in terms of amp models and effects. You're comparing apples and oranges.

I love my Vypyr x3...the built in attenuator is a really cool feature. I actually started using it as a power amp for my iPad using Bias FX 2. It seems ideal considering it has a reference speaker instead of a standard guitar speaker. I just bluetooth the ipad output to the amp and then I have a 100 watt power amp with built in attenuator. Of course the amp models are great too.
