He mentioned going from 1 preset to the next with a big difference in output. Well, what you can say about most pedals is that they usually have adjustable levels. I don’t see how you can beat your own choice of pedal FX with the overdrives into the front of the amp, (tube amp, of course), and the mod pedals thru the loop! 🥴

I really like how this guitar sounds.

Inability to go direct to FOH while beinga stage monitor kills its unprecended versatility, as being able to have 1 amp with enough volume for rehearsals, for a bass and electric and acoustic is a great touch. Especially that it has fr speaker so micing itis also not an option as it already delivers miced sound.huuuuge fail.thanks for the heads up

Its an excellent guitar but overpriced.

For the haters out there , you won’t expect good sound from your phone , from rooms , from microphones From guitars and more importantly from the actual Guitar player itself. I’ve heard this amp from other Reviews, it’s not aimed specifically at a specific Genre of music, it’s aimed for players who enjoy Playing without the hassle of plugging in again and Again , or buying extra pedals extra amps . Plus It’s super easy to use and reasonably priced

I would never have matched this already very tonally bright guitar with an also tonally bright amp such as the Marshall. Rather, I would have gone perhaps for a Boss Katana, or a Roland Jazz Chorus JC 40, or perhaps a Fender Twin. Based on this review alone, I would never choose to buy a Danelectro guitar. HOWEVER, I know that with better selection of amplifier, with plucking or strumming further away from the bridge, these guitars can sound wonderful. Please take heed, Electric Guitar Review - you could do better..!

You can’t have the single coil mode and voice 2 active at the same time, voice 3 overrides voice 2. A little error in the video when you tried going into voice 2 after you were in single coil mode on the bridge

"Stage volumes getting lower"...the decline of western civilization continues. Lemmy does not approve.

It's a Marshall so it's always going to sound like a Marshall especially on higher volume settings but it would probably b one of Marshalls most versatile amps. For a Marshall the classic gain channel cleans up nicely with the guitar volume rolled down and when pushed those classic tones come out and being a 20watt /10watt combo u don't have to have the high volume needed to achieve those tones on a 50 or 100watt amp. It's also a good amp for recording with the line out eliminating the need for a microphone or use the standby for silent recording. With all the these features it truly is a versatile amp that can go from bedroom to rehearsal to small gigs and to recording.

I've got small hands and I was looking for a smaller neck but this one is very difficult for me to adapt to my finger-style playing. My right ring finger is constantly running into the pickguard and my left hand feels cramped. I'm afraid that if I get too used to it, I might have issues when I return to playing my Taylor acoustics. Unfortunately, it wasn't available at any of the local guitar stores to test drive the Viking. It's a very nice looking guitar but it does feel like a cheap knockoff of other brands. I'm afraid that I'll end up returning it and test-driving a more expensive Gretsch. Lesson learned. If you're used to quality, this might not be your best buy.

sounds hairy as hell, just like the head (DSL20H), I'm not a fan of that either....at low volumes. It does clean up pretty good once you get the volume past noon and push the valves a bit, but for home/bedroom use it's pretty horrible without an attenuator, you're better off with a DSL1H which sounds a billion times better at house volumes.

This guitar sounds really versatile. Most people would buy it for strictly metal, but it sounds like it would cover a lot of ground, anything from Country to Blues, Rock, Hard Rock, and of course Metal!

You've got to explain what " Clean", and " Overdriven" means to Amateurs!

Hi Ben, I ordered this amp based on this video thank you, but I find the sound very harsh and thin, and actually quite boxy. I also have a DSL15 which by comparison is much warmer with much better low end base. I tried plugging the DSL20 amp into the DSL15 speaker and it was better but still very harsh. Did you find there was a considerable hiss with all the volumes down?

And I'll take My original vibrant 3 over that. Is better cabinet

Yeah o k little science time It don't matter the size of the Jack for the headphone for one. That's a stereo output guess you didn't know. Thapp number 2 is the same positive and ground wire with a piece of metal making contact. It's not gonna change the f****** sound
