Tip for comfy foam rollers, take out the plastic part and thread fabric through the hole. Tie the ends off and there ya go. Easy to sleep on. Just untie and unroll as normal.

Hun, the foam rollers do NOTHING to my hair, can put 72 in there and it comes completely straight lol. I sleep on brush rollers and have slept on perm rollers. Talk about Beauty is pain. Spent most of high school in brush rollers. I did the perm rollers thang for my yearbook photo. Guess who had an 80s big hair frizz... ? O. M. G. Took curlers out at 8am, pictures were taken at 9 am. Holy Hannah what a mess.

I love how you embrace the 1940s esthetics. Most of them make so much sense! As for keeping up men's morale? It was a different time with different roles by gender. We can't really judge it by our standard today. I think that it's kind of quaint and chivalrous of the men and charming by the women.

Such wonderful tips! With Vaseline, coat your feet and put socks on , automatic soft feet! Also rub a bit before you put your perfume on and spray or dab the perfume on top and it lasts much longer. ❤

I've watched those old beauty videos. and think the same holds true for most of it today. I can't be without my vaseline.

We’ve always laughingly referred to vaseline & socks as the poor woman’s pedicure. Works perfectly!

8:07 LOL i remember my friend in middle school telling me this. I was very new to makeup and liked to wear lipstick and it would frequetly end up on my teeth bc I over applied it. She taught me to do that and I still do it today.

Great beauty hacks of which I do many of them. Another use for petroleum jelly is to apply to the heels of your feet. This product helps to smooth rough and cracked heels. Thanks again for sharing.

Ohh, Pond's! I love Pond's moisturizing creams. They are lightly scented enough that I can use them without getting headaches, and they absolutely keep your skin feeling dewy and supple, never dry or tight!
Edit: Satin hair scarves help people with all hair textures to keep the moisture in your hair, to prevent breakage, and keep your hair frizz-free. I suggest everybody get at least 3 or 4 satin scarves for their hair!
Vaseline is one of the best moisture sealants, so if you have dry skin, you can apply a water based lotion and then a layer of Vaseline over it to keep it in.
Thank you for the lovely, fascinating videos and tips! 😊

My maternal grandmother never had any wrinkles and she always just used Olay moisturizer. There are way too many products on the market these days, when all any of us really need is a good SPF 50

I thought I was the only person who knew the finger tip! Everytime I tell someone that trick they look at me like I've lost my mind but I haven't had lipstick on my teeth for EVER! also you really shouldn't put perfume in your hair. The alcohol in the perfume can damage your hair. Putting a drop of essential oils into Vaseline and use it (like you said) to tame stray hairs is a little better. Also you should so do this as a "the uglier you look going to bed the prettier you are waking up" trend on Instagram right now lol

My nan would say when using a face washer pat the skin the soap would be massage in to the skin gently and then you pat the skin gently clean with a clean warm face wash then moisturise well.

Silk or satin weave? What you showed look like a satin. Silk is a fiber and can be quite scratchy where satin is a weave and is slippery. Also less costly.

Joan Crawford used ice water and witch hazel together. However, the thought of possibly getting witch hazel in your eyes sounds uncomfortable so yeah, just stick with just the ice water.

I used to see my nan blot her lipstick and then powder over a tissue. It really does keep it in place all day but unfortunately I find it too drying for my lips 😢

I use oil cleanser to get makeup off too, before using regular face wash to get the last bits gone. It does get in my eyes a bit which is not great but like you, if I don't get right into my lashes the eyeshadow, liner, mascara won't entirely come off. I'd rather some oily residue gets in my eyes a little than have makeup permanently on my lash line because eyelash mites feed off it. A lot of us have got some (get them off our mothers as babies) but I don't want them getting out of control by feeding them makeup or else you can get rosacea from them. I'm going to try balm cleansers, they're basically solid oil, to see if that gets in my eyes less.
