Just started watching, I can already say, Jo nailed it!!!..people are always nicer to prettier people!!!..Finally!!!!…someone said it out loud!!!!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Absolutely that's why attractive women attract handsome men. That's life. Unless of course if the man is a multi millionaire and looks like the back of a bus!!!!
@dianapeek6936 the saying ' don't judge the book by its cover' if the multimillionaire has a face like the back of a bus is kind, has a sense of humour, and is good to small animals he's a winner. If the m.m is very good looking but is nasty, has no manners and doesn't respect women unless you are a gold digger he has no REAL value. I don't wear makeup anymore, too time consuming and expensive; also I would rather be seen for who I am and how I actually look. This way there is no shock for how I look in the morning

I am 75 and lucky to be aging well. I have continued to always use makeup, but feel like I’m less attractive as I have gotten older , and began to look older. The realization that I am “invisible “ has just hit me in the last several months as I DO feel like people in stores, etc just see through me now.
I am older than you and I also always use makeup every day. It is a great morale booster. I think you are underestimating yourself and you should not think that you are invisible and you should enjoy yourself with looking your best. I had a good day today - a store assistant called me “Miss” and no one on the subway stood up to offer me their seat, lol. You take the wins when you get them.
I'm 75 also and I agree. Even the medical field-- I don't know if they figure we are going to die soon any way, so why bother, or what. I hate store clerks calling me sweetheart or dear! I'm not a child. If they call everyone dear or honey, then it's alright. I knew a lady that called everyone darlin, she was just a sweet lady.
All the women on this series look so polished and lively after their makeover. And dare I say younger. Makeup is a powerful tool that allows older women to look relevant and feel good. Thank you for sharing these videos.
It is our society that is at fault. Years ago families lived together or close by. Elders were respected. Today corporations cater to the young. It is sad. Children grow up, move away and never seem to have time for their parents. This is why I appreciate Nikol. She has inspired me to go grey, silver and white! Who knew I had such a great natural frosted look! I love it! Her makeup and makeup tips make me feel great! I have had more compliments than when I colored my hair. I just turned 70 and I am so glad I found Nikol!
I first heard “pretty privilege” from a 20 year old girl - friend of my son’s - a few years ago when I asked someone to do something for us and the person did. I thought it was because I asked nicely. I never thought I was pretty and I thought she made up the expression. But then I learned that it’s a thing, well documented and studied - attractive people make more money, get more stuff, have more opportunities, etc. It’s really wrong - but true.
@@terrymatsusaki9032 Inwas told this and experienced it until I had a disfiguring surgery! It turned my whole world upside down. Suddenly I was on the other side and I was treated 100% differently! Jo has a lot of wisdom, that's for sure. She hit the nail on the head when she said makeup is a tool for getting respect. On a personal level, I know that as someone who is not particularly naturally attractive, I command far more respect when I make the effort to enhance what I *do* have with makeup and the appropriate clothing. (And, more importantly, I have more SELF respect.) It really does get you farther in life, and I wish more women thought the way Jo does. And her look is beautiful!
She looks fresh and spunky and I love the brows! What a difference brows make and her eye color is gorgeous! Your color choices really brought out her eyes.
Jo, you look so refreshed… energized for the 7th decade! You are ready to take it on! Nikol, great makeup with choices to keep Jo’s natural beauty and adding in a few things to amp it up if she wants to. I know that the trend, especially with social media, has been elevating young and “perfection”, but I do see change happening with regard to people being fed up with the superficiality. People feeling exhausted trying to “keep up”. I think the more people see others embracing aging and maturity with self respect, and self-live, the more it’ll catch on again. The more people see that the trend to remain “young” is really a money grab and totally devaluing the person as a human being! ❤
Jo, thank you for volunteering to be Nikol's model. The color tones she used enhanced your natural beauty and tied in the color of your shirt, which looks so good on you! Nikol, it was nice to see the redness corrector used over a large area to really see the effect. Thank you both!
Hi Nikol, at 67, I totally agree that makeup makes a huge difference in my appearance. I agree with everything Jo said! I feel ‘pale and old’ without my makeup on. I feel more confident when I am made up to face the day. Thanks for using your talents as a pro makeup artist to teach your brave fierce aging ladies how to use makeup to look their best and feel more confident! The world can be very harsh to ‘women of a certain age’ and makeup is key to looking as vibrant as we still feel. ❤
She looks fabulous! I am 71 and have determined that less is more at this age but we can still look our very best and feel good about ourselves. I love learning new makeup applications and I love that you are so willing to show us how to be our best. Thank you, Nicol!
Her comment about the world being nicer to pretty people is so, so, so true. I noticed this particularly as I moved through menopause -- and it became even more noticeable as I transitioned to silver hair. Makeup definitely produces more positive responses and interactions.

What a sweet lady! Gracious but honest. 💜 I did not realize how lovely her eye color is, but the instant you did her brows, the blue just glowed. The darker lashes (even with just mascara) enhanced them even more. I joke when heading to the makeup mirror, “I have to go find my eyebrows!” If nothing but brows, mascara, lipgloss and spot concealer gets applied, I still notice a big difference and feel more polished. Maybe then my own attitude helps people “see” me? But even if they don’t, I feel better about myself. Thank you for always ALWAYS making my day better Nikol.
I’m 76, was young in the sixties when eyeliner was probably at its height of fashion. I got very good at a fine or thick eyeliner, now a Smokey eye look suits me better as my hands are not so steady anymore, and of course, my skin is now a bit wrinkly.
Me to young in the 60s and wore the thicker black eyeliner, being dark haired(yes dyed!) and brown eyes I still wear eyeliner only much thinner applied and only outer corners, have learnt over the yrs. to enhance my makeup being clever with eyeshadow and applying a very fine line of same colour under bottom lid eyeliner as I applied on upper lid. Plus Temu 3D fibre mascara gives the false eyelash look even on the finest eyelashes .
I really enjoy these tutorials. I turned 62 years young last week. I’m going out to celebrate with friends this evening. Will incorporate the eyeliner technique. Thank you! ❤❤😊😊
I appreciated her pointing out that people are kinder to more attractive people. And it isnt just men who are guilty of this subconscious bias, it was evident in the women I worked with and our female clients. This is why I finally, at age 40, started wearing a full face of makeup. Even though I do wear makeup now, having experienced some hurtful encounters has helped me be more careful in the way I treat others. The frumpiest women could be doctor doing cutting edge research in the fight against cancer, and the prettiest woman could be a convicted murderer! 😅
Beautiful look. Soft and not overdone. I’ve been living in Taiwan for the past 11+ years and it’s difficult to find cosmetics here. I’m 73 and have a lot of wrinkles. When I was younger people said I looked like Jamie Lee Curtis! I did go through modeling school and learned how to use cosmetics. Unfortunately, they just don’t work so well anymore! I appreciate your videos that give me hope in applying cosmetics in new ways! Thank you!❤
Jo’s brows look realistic, not big ‘scary eyes’ brows. She looks lovely. I’m going to take more time with my make up instead of the 5 minute rush that I currently do. Thank you!
I am sorry to hear about your dad. It’s incredibly hard to be a caretaker and care for yourself but it’s imperative that you do. Sending love and prayers to you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🩷🩷
If you are caring for your elderly father who has dementia, you are a HERO! It takes another caretaker to fully comprehend another caretaker. The Lord said we are to honor our fathers and mothers. That’s exactly what you are doing. However, you MUST guard your own health and well being. There must a few others in the family who can give you some help with your father’s care. I would ask them to sit with him so you can simply rest, sleep or go out for a very long walk - whatever it is that you need. If you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t help others. And you must have periods of respite so you can survive physically and mentally. I also understand that many times other family members won’t help you. There’s usually just one who does all the caretaking. If this is your case, I am so sorry. I pray that you have the strength, stamina and a good mind to get from one day to the other. If your dad is a veteran, he may qualify for aid to place him in assisted living/memory care. Right now my mom is in assisted living and it’s a wonderful place with many friends. She doesn’t know me anymore but that’s ok. I will pray for you to receive the help and assistance you need. “Lord Jesus, please support my new friend here. She is tired and she is spent. Please provide the necessities that she needs to care for her father and to also care for herself. Send her the help she needs and the courage to ask for it. I ask that her family members are able to clearly see this situation and offer her the support she needs. I also ask for dignity and peace for this father. He is very low and does not understand his own surroundings. Only You can provide what he needs. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, the name above every other name, Amen.” Take care. God bless you and your father.
Every episode, every woman in my opinion, you can see their confidence climbing with each step of makeup… anyone else notice that?…I would be exactly the same if it was me sitting there!
Thank you for creating the stunning makeup on Jo❣️ My identical twin and I have Lupus and Rosacea. We have difficulty trying to determine what color BB cream to use on our fair skin. Nikol, your technique looks wonderful. I use the peach and green color correctors, already.
She looks really pretty! You did a good job with her makeup. Really nice! Not too much and the lipstick looks nice on her as well. I am trying to find the right makeup for myself as a middle age woman, I see so many women in their 60’s and seventies that have great style and do a good job with their makeup. Thank you for this demonstration, gives me hope.
Pink toned eye shadow seems very popular with influencers recently. However, it seems to me that this just adds back the redness and discoloration that was just hidden with the eyelid primer. Am I missing something when choosing the tone?
Thank you for addressing older women. I’m 76 from UK and still interested in elegant quality fashion, hair, make up products and my own take on style. You make wonderful clips about all topics. Love your dress up videos and big hair vids. I’ve been blessed with good clear, but sensitive fair skin. My mother had smooth soft fine skin even at 90. From an early age she taught me to always remove make up before sleep and to moisturise every morning and night. Plus avoid heavy sunbathing. It’s paid off. I’ll never be young again, but I’m coping with it by making the effort to groom and nourish myself. Now I’ve found I’m quicker putting on make up than years ago, because I like a softer eye make up and know not to overdo some techniques that can make for a garish look when older. Agree with you about the eyebrows and I’d urge all women to use an eyebrow treatment or an occasional smear of castor oil to keep some hair eyebrow growth and not to over pluck when younger. As well check with a GP for hypothyroidism at the first sign of eyebrow end sparseness. When younger a good education that nurtures the mind is vital for future interest in life. The best thing now about being old is learning you can say no and speaking up when it’s something you don’t want to do anymore. I don’t put up with anything now that irks me and others now know not to take advantage or they get short shrift. Cultivating a happy agreeable marriage full of mutual daily kindness, love, affection, politeness and thankfulness helps. Know when you are blessed and say it often. You can be kind to everyone without being a doormat, whatever your age. Good luck in the future with your life, you have a lovely persona. xx
Nikol, I really enjoy your podcast. Your voice is soothing, educational and authentically sincere. The tutorials actually give me confidence in presenting myself to my community. Thanks!
Nickol does a great job for ladies of a certain age. I would do these applications for a very special event but not for every day. Folks have to take me as I am at the doctor's office and restaurant where I live (Oklahoma). Thx Nickol! 🤗
Love your aging series. As a 64 year young Grandmother of 10 I still love fashion, makeup and hair styles. I just returned from a 2 week European vacation traveling alone and seeing how other countries view older women. It seems Americans view aging as a dreaded disease but Europeans celebrate, respect as well as revere older women. Kuddos to your service to us women of a “certain age”
Thank you, thank you Nikol for a great video. It’s about time someone addresses makeup for the more senior ladies and shows us what to do. A big “mwah” for your tutorials. So happy I found your videos and I can’t give you enough kudos. 😊
Absolutely true about how people look at you differently as you move into your 70's. I can say i have now enjoyed looking at my younger self and appreciating the years i turned heads and the attention i was given from men and women. When i apply makeup I'm not sure if im doing it right and I'm not comfortable with makeup anymore. Sometimes i go without because i don't feel anyone sees me . But i know im not in this boat alone
I love the false lashes. Its really hard to find them that arent so long they look outrageous, especially for us with smaller eyes. I couldn't find them in your list of products. Where to you find the short lashes?
I LOVE her eyebrows! It really frames her face! The makeup is gorgeous! Nikol, ya did good 😊 Maybe one day I’ll wear it. But for now, I don’t see a need being I’m home all the time.
I am an artist and have painted with oils, faces, figures - and your skills remind me of the things we think and do when creating the skin and how light works on it to make a portrait "live".
Jo looks absolutely beautiful- a very classy look. i love how you concealed the redness- it has been the bane of my life. The lashes look stunning, and the eyebrows look much better- mine are the same as the before look. You cannot see mine these days. 💜💜💜💜
Jo looks simply beautiful. Thank you for this reel. ~~ I have hazel green eyes and Nikol's Plum waterproof eyeliner really enhances my eye color. Also, ladies, this eyeliner goes on so smoothly and really does have all-day staying power. 🦋
Thanks for this. I'm 72 and haven't worn makeup in 16 years, since I stopped working outside my home. Recently, I feel like I just look so much older, even though a lot of people say I don't look my age. I was always subtle with my makeup, and this look is just what I want. All the videos with the contouring, etc. is just too much for someone my age, I think.
I agree with you and have made life more simplistic with the use of mascara and blush only. My little pick-me-up of those 2 products at the age of 60 and I'm good to go!
Gorgeous new brows for Jo! This is the best brow tutorial ever! Thank you Nikol! I can never be as beautiful as you, but I can be a much prettier version of myself by following your tips❤️

Its scientifically proven that people are attracted to those with symmetrical features -- you're right about attractive people.
Thank you!
@@joolzmac1 i do the same
Such a Blessing you are to so many ladies.. So happy I found this channel. It has encouraged me and helped in my aging process myself.
I love these videos and all the wonderfully interesting women you interview.
She looks beautiful! And she still looks like herself. I really liked how you explained all the brushes and how to use them.😊
She really looked great. Thanks for the brow application technique, I need that.
Благодаря, Никол, за нагледното разкрасяване на тази симпатична дама👌🏽. Ти си вълшебница👏🏽😘‼️
Jo looks gorgeous. She makes 70 look amazing 😍
I love the colour and the cut of Jo`s hair. It`s adorable.
Great makeup and transformation.
Thanks for the inspiration :)
I worry about my health. I'm caring for my 94 year old dad with dementia and have little to no time for myself. Thanks for caring about older women.❤
I am sorry to hear about your dad. It’s incredibly hard to be a caretaker and care for yourself but it’s imperative that you do. Sending love and prayers to you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🩷🩷
Been there and its hard because you're so tired all the time. Sorry. Be kind to yourself when you can.
I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, the name above every other name, Amen.”
Take care. God bless you and your father.
Carol looks absolutely beautiful and natural with a gentle touch of makeup!! Well done, both of you 👏🏻👏🏻🌹
Every episode, every woman in my opinion, you can see their confidence climbing with each step of makeup… anyone else notice that?…I would be exactly the same if it was me sitting there!
I love this tutorial. That's the look I can do with just a little practice. Thanks to you both. Special thanks to Jo for sharing her beauty.👏
Thank you for creating the stunning makeup on Jo❣️
My identical twin and I have Lupus and Rosacea.
@@lynnrMcR627 I agree. I don't find the pink look flattering at all.
@@SHR2002 think it depends on colour of eyes, I use pinks and purples ,I have brown eyes
@@SueRipley-f5m I have hazel eyes. But you must do what makes you feel happy and confident!
I love your videos. Thank you for showing older women as still-vibrant people.
Boy, she looks so beautiful!
I think it came out really nice. Not over done. Just right for a make-up look on an older gal.
Beautiful!! I love this series & always learn something!! Rock on with your bad self!!❤
Good luck in the future with your life, you have a lovely persona. xx
Nikol, you nail it every time with the brows!!!!..still watching!❤
Nikol, I really enjoy your podcast. Your voice is soothing, educational and authentically sincere. The tutorials actually give me confidence in presenting myself to my community. Thanks!
Eyebrows frame our face...they are a must!! Sometimes i just do my eyebrows and lipstick!!
Me too, the basic but important steps.
Love seeing all the different makeovers...they all look natural and great
81 year old fan. I love your videos and vlogs. They are so inspiring. And your products are wonderful.
You have brought out Jo's beauty! She looks absolutely stunning, and it's a very classy subtle look.
Jo is very striking the makeup enhanced her natural beauty
She looks lovely and elegant!
Same
Wow, Jo looks stunning!
First time watching you… very nice to have someone with makeup knowledge to assist us older women! Thank you!
I love the false lashes. Its really hard to find them that arent so long they look outrageous, especially for us with smaller eyes. I couldn't find them in your list of products. Where to you find the short lashes?
I LOVE her eyebrows! It really frames her face! The makeup is gorgeous! Nikol, ya did good 😊
Maybe one day I’ll wear it. But for now, I don’t see a need being I’m home all the time.
OMGOSH, that’s so true! People r nicer to attractive people ❤ Thanks Jo❤
She looks so lovely. Good to see the change and how she responds to the new look.
Jo, you look awesome!! Very natural!
I am an artist and have painted with oils, faces, figures - and your skills remind me of the things we think and do when creating the skin and how light works on it to make a portrait "live".
Wow! She looks beautiful!
Vibrant
Jo looks absolutely beautiful- a very classy look. i love how you concealed the redness- it has been the bane of my life. The lashes look stunning, and the eyebrows look much better- mine are the same as the before look. You cannot see mine these days. 💜💜💜💜
lovely, just lovely. Hmm now I want that blush too lol.
She looks gorgeous! The eyebrows are smashing as well as the lashes! Plus you evened out her skin tone so well.
She looks great, fresh faced, light not heavy or cakey.
Jo looks simply beautiful. Thank you for this reel. ~~ I have hazel green eyes and Nikol's Plum waterproof eyeliner really enhances my eye color. Also, ladies, this eyeliner goes on so smoothly and really does have all-day staying power. 🦋
Just doing the eyebrows made such a difference.
Thank you Nikol. I so enjoy watching your Fierce Aging series. I learn something every time I watch. You have given me so much confidence.
You are so welcome!
Very lovely. Great look!
She looks so beautiful. Well done for taking part. Xx
Wow her eyes look amazing!
@kathymitchell7896 I agree, Kathy! Jo looks fabulous! Not overdone. Fresh!
This is an amazing transformation! Jo looks beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Such a stunning woman.
Jo looks absolutely beautiful. Nikol is a real artist, nothing is overdone.
