"!" denote ladders, readable signs, locked doors, seeker's tokens, ramps (the one's you slide off of on moutains), and blocked paths you can break open. Treasure chests are denoted by a chest symbol. Normally "!" will lead to chests. And some locked doors can be opened by shooting it from the other side like through a window. :O Pawns who have discovered seekers tokens will point out that they see something but won't pick them up themselves and an "!" will appear on the minimap, but they will guide you directly to any chests they know are near if they have been to it before. I ended up getting over 7000 for completing the quest throw the barrels I noticed you only had 1000 it’s the explosive barrels each one you use lowers the payout of the quest. If you go over there and fight them on your own and kill them then go talk to the guy when he tells you about the poison barrel use the poison barrel like you’re supposed to. your reward will be a lot more. He charges you per explosion barrel without telling ya.
wow! i knew the reward was based on how well you did, but not the specifics. I messed that quest up bad, not realising throw command activates the dualsense gyro's, or that i could even throw that far. (i walked all the way around with the barrel, ended up waking the lizards... threw the barrel in their face, then once they were dead i did the rest.
Advanced searching for pawns also helps when you're struggling with the quest. You can search for a pawn that's already completed that quest and they will guide you through the quest. It's especially useful when there isn't an obvious quest marker.
Excellent tips. Draw distance is a game changer and potions direct to storage is a massive weight saver!
Most comprehensive vid I've seen so far, I'm 10 hours in and some of these are new to me
The thing i miss in the game is some kind of indicator where slayed enemies are. Like a light indicator, too often I cant find corpses to loot after a fight.
If they have anything to collect on them, they will pulse glow but SO slightly it's easy to not notice.
They are also iridescent so therefore almost "glow". Very apparent in everything except direct sunlight on my atV and monitor.

or just anything a pawn has pointed out... ladders... pawns love ladders...

Awesome video. Ive been playing since yesterday. Didnt want any spoilers. Seen 20-30 videos on "beginner tips". I gotta say this was the best ive came across. Funny it came from a dude with 7k subs. HUUUUUGE Tip!!!!
When Upgrading Gear there is a "Blacksmith Technique" in the top right of the screen. What this does is tell you WHAT is Upgraded when you Upgrade the Gear. For instance the Starting City will give you a Balanced increase to everything from Physical Attack/Defense and Magic Attack/Defense, but the Beastkin town to the West will give a bigger Bonus to Physical Attack/Defense and very small Bonus to Magic Attack/Defense. So depending on what Class you want to play you need to only Upgrade at the Correct City with the Correct Blacksmith Technique or you will be missing out on A LOT of Stat Points.

Is there an exp penalty for having more pawns? More exp when i solo?
Mark where you find your first seeker token! A very rewarding quest later on requires you to go to the location of the first one you find. I did not do this and am restarting after 20 hours as the rewards you get from the quest are VERY good. Mark it with a way point on your map, take a picture whatever just make sure you know where you got your first one.
Best pawns are your own. Though dose take lot more time if havrle 2 alt accounts to hire your own pawns. But the advantage is you get all 3 pawns exactly the way you want them.
Thats what im doing. But first getting both alts together. After get those pawns where i want them. Ill go back to main account and play it with 2 pawns way above current level. Also with so much knowldge in what to do and so on. Also can probably get 2 experience rings that way too. As going to try today after get up. Get on 2nd alt and give to pawn to take with them anc see if get 2. Which would helo level lot faster.
You can get through the checkpoint ny riding inside of a cart. The guards didnt like it when i hopped out on the otherside thoufh 😅
You said to pick up every item from the floor when venturing in the open world but after spending couple of hours looking for a floor I had to give up; everywhere I just see a solid ground, no floors whatsoever.
Im wondering, is the enemy difficulty depending on the area im in or on my character level?Because last night i played in the night and a mage guy that summoned skeleton appeared and i did near 0 damage to the skeletons? Or am i just weak? And the Griffin, i can deplete like 3 times his health bar and it took quite long but on his last bar hes going really nuts and almost killed my whole party and on 10% left this f... just flew away 😮

Adding onto the elemental weakness part, there are different physical "elements" too. Skeletons have a very high resistance to slashing, but take take extra dmg from bludgeoning.

Mildred doesn't need that quest, I've never done it and I'm past her one week free trial of a home lol. I think it's time-based from the time you rest at the inn for the first time in that city.
Also I still don't know if the house counts as an inn, considering I want to see my pawn's progress when sent to other worlds

At the title screen, when you click "Load save file at the last Inn", you get a pop up that is worded "Load from your last save at a safe location".
And it's confirmed, resting at your house counts as a "safe location".

I did the monster culling quest first before meeting the vocation guy. If I sold the weapons do I lose the ability to do change vocations?
technically you just have to buy them from a vendor who sells them in another town if you missed it

You don't have to find the weapons for warrior and sorcerer to unlock them. I got them naturally after progressing Captain Brant's missions

For those of us who actually give a damn about the game industry and about people, not just ourselves, being nickel and dimed to death for basic functions in a game, we need to be outspoken.
Or are we just supposed to be okay with being charged more money to start a new game or edit a character on top of the $60 we already spent to buy the game to begin with?
Spoiler for DD2/not a spoiler if you’ve played DD1 (tl;dr don’t belittle inn saves, they can be useful):
I was stuck in the Grigori fight with 2/4 my spells being fire elements as a Sorceror, up until that point I thought the Inn Saves were useless at best but this changed my mind.
I would also like a tip to understand why this game does not go 60 fps on hardware that run heavier games (like bg3, cyberpunk, etc.) on 60 fps! So frustrating when it drops to 20 in camps!
Cyberpunk took years to get to such an optimized state, to be fair. Performance will be patched up at some point, nothing new there, although it is sad that so many games require post release patching to reach their potential.

- sell all spellbooks, arrows, and raw meat $$$$
- instead of buying armor / weapons at the capital, go west to checkpoint rest town. they have stronger gear for sale..
- warning, if a "hired" pawn decides to die in water, you lose all items you stored on them.
Note: Pawns your level and lower are free, you don't have to go one level lower.

Uhhh dont focus on time skipping wtf? npcs and sidequests are time-gated, please ensure you are making the most of the days when waiting for the house, you get to sleep their for free every night anyways. the time matilda is gone is more than enough to grind 20k, i got 20k before even reaching the capital city. gold beetles dont reduce your weight, they increase the capacity that you can carry.

It’s really not that serious.
This isn’t a Ubisoft game. There are no gold or XP boosters for sale. The most useful buyable item is arguably the addition of a single fast travel point of your choosing. The things you can purchase are obtainable in the game without any grinding, unless you consider questing a grind. Plenty of games out there with far worse, more egregious examples of micro transactions. This is basically just selling the deluxe edition/preorder bonuses individually, and they are not something one should feel as though they need, or are missing out by not having them.

Bit by bit the consumer has been conditioned to embrace practices that negatively affect them and to oddly enough, defend the companies that are trying to milk them of their money by means other than providing a quality fun product.
@@Thrawn90 I have not been negatively affected at all by the micro transactions in this particular game. There are plenty of truly predatory games out there to crusade against. Unless they add more, or make gameplay more tedious/difficult without additional purchases it can be ignored. As with anything else in life, you get to choose whether to play it, or purchase it yourself. I agree that micro transactions are stupid and predatory by nature, but this game is the least egregious example of them I can think of off the top of my head.
As you say, this has been happening for years. It will continue to happen. If people want to take a moral stand against it, great. All I care about is whether the game is fun, and did I get my money’s worth.

As a warrior myself i sell books because gold is shiny and books are not shiny. If i want magic done i use one of my 2 spellcasters to do so as they are weak and puny best to stick to our roles. "Mystic spearman walks up" WHAT DID YOU SAY BOY?

It's a shame, really. Before release people were holding it next to Elden Ring, and now because of shithead management/sales teams, it sunk worse than Cyberpunk at launch. They got what was coming for them, I will play the game, but my review will remain negative for this single reason.

Disagree Im running a 3060ti and Im getting mostly 60fps with some dips into the 40s while not ideal it is more than playable. Also yea this is not a souls like combat way more relaxed amd fun imo but then again I dont like any Dark Souls game.
