    2:54 If you are using blender 4.0, don't worry about the mask not showing. Its only a problem if the "delete geometry" node has no effect. (its the next one he uses after.)
    He also connects attributes "color" to material output's "volume"
    also, if you are having problems with an inverted shield, (with it surrounding the empty instead of the empty activating it) Go to object info in the geometry nodes and switch it from "Original" to "relative".

    Very cool tutorial, I do agree with the top comment that adding a bit more time onto the video could help the viewer a lot. Some parts are fast and get a little confusing to understand the mechanics. Your explanations are very helpful

    Great tutorial! The only advice would be to do the same content over 15 mins rather than 10 mins, so it has more time to sink in while you are going thru. The explanations were really clever though, so keep on doing these please!

    being told to get the 3.1 or newer would have been quite useful at the start not in the middle of the tutorial. Still a great effect that i love thanks!

    I usually never comment. But I just want you to know that you have helped me so much today. Not only are you generous enough and so kind to share this valuable information you have, but also sharing the project files to save peoples time on top of helping them is beyond beautiful. From the bottom of my heart. Thank You!

    This is a good tutorial, I was able to learn the principles of the geometry node setup and change the shield to fit my purposes (a Kung Fu scene with energy manipulation). You did pretty good job of explaining the underlying principles.

    • @SRyobbok
      @SRyobbok 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      the problem is in the location of empty and/or force field. Try to change distance to some great numbers - then you should get black color and find right value eventually. Solution basically in applying location to those objects, thou dont figure out exactly how to do it right

    • @SRyobbok
      @SRyobbok 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok, in object info just set "relative" instead of original, then find right distance again
