What's the consensus on the regular Rathalos LBG vs Silver Rathalos LBG? I get that Rapid-firing piercing ammo is better in terms of damage-per-shot but the overall DPS is usually pretty similar is it not? Especially cause you save up on Rapidfire Up decos.

For anyone who just isn't a fan of or comfortable with dereliction I've made a different build that works pretty equal to this. Haven't tested the numbers or anything but hey, Using any 3-2-1 talisman btw.
Storge helm, silver solmail, golden lunebraces, sinister tassets, lambent gaiters. 3x salvo, 1x jumping +4, 1x crit element +4, 3x thrift, 3x quickload, 1x blaze +2, and some defense decos or comfort. You end up with a bunch of extra skills compared to this one to make up for no dereliction and it's damn good, plus no draining health. 👌
You keep all of the skills in the videos build but change dereliction for things like mail of hellfire, chain crit, sneak attack, more crit element and coalesence and such. Also I haven't gotten into augmenting the armor so there's that for extra skills if needed.
great. how much damage per ticks do you get?
super excited to augment armor, getting extra slots to fit in reload speed / recoil down / steadiness will make builds more flexible

@@drakness1520 you do you but I wouldn’t call it a shitty system. You just don’t like it and likely haven’t engaged with it much because useful/good skills really arnt hard to get. The game isn’t stingy on augment ingredients
@@Frogstoney no this system is worse than IB you need to have a lot of mats to keep rerolling the right aug which is boring af the more I farm this shit the more I get bored
The extra decos slots are amazing. Managed to fit a fat def 7 plus 1 level of defiance on a set that is basically capped for damage in buzzsaw charge blade.
Can't wait for the HBG setup!
Time to go back to LBG! On World I was a fan of Bow but on Rise LBG carried me the entire game till master rank. :) I loved the gameplay is so safe xD
Man, elemental light bowgun is so resource intensive that it almost turns me off completely. Unless you've been farming the ammo crafting materials for a while, you're not gonna be able to just hop right in. I'd say that even Argosy farming is too slow for some materials, particularly Fire Herb and Thunderbugs. Anybody got any tips?
Edit: The Palamute Pouch makes gathering the ammo materials from locales much more efficient, since you can gather a full complement of Snow Herb, Flowfern or Fire Herb (max 20 each) into your field pouch, and then your Palamute can also hold 20 of whichever plant you're gathering. You can do the same with Thunderbugs (Max 10 each). If you're patient enough, you can gather your materials fairly quickly on a casual expedition.

Hey again, I rebuilt the fire set and discovered 2 things
1. Reload speed 2 does the trick (no third point needed)
2. Builder seems bugged fyi
seems like a goot fit for my chain crit 2, 3x lvl 1 slot talisman. just gotta farm me that silver rath armor.
WOW GG same test with the same Armor Set yesterday its freaking Broken first i testet it with both ratha armor pieces and then i come to the conclusion its not necessary to use the 2 ratha armor pieces. Its better with exactly this set and ridicoulous with the new silver ratha LBG i slaped LV 40 Aflictet almudron in 4min.

Since rapid fire up only applies to the raw portion of the elemental piercing ammo I would use the Archfiend Waist for chain crit and use ammo up decorations instead of the rapid fire
or just roll chain crit on that rarity 8 tasset and still keep both.
That's a misconception. RF-Up applies to the elemental portion as well.
I use Royal Order LBG with Full ArchDemon set and Critical Element along the corresponding element lvl5. Is kinda good the dmg.

Hey Ang, how do you feel about the Narga “Sneak Attack” skill? Think it could be good for our multiplayer hunts?
For any monster with wing or rear weak spots its gotta be the new meta. It seems to function to player relation to the monster. So if you're physically behind the midpoint of the monster even head shots will count. But most wings and shoulders block the shots.

Thanks for the video! What skills would you recommend if we have good talismans with open slots? Is weakness exploit and critical element worth? Or should I try to fit in a level of mail of hellfire?

The game REALLY loves giving me chain crit 2 stuff and I'd love to actually use them. All of these have Chain Crit 2, so these are the other skills and slots: 3/0/0, 4/0/0, tune up 1 0/0/0, evade extender 1 2/0/0, 1/1/1

I've made a set similar to yours but swapped out the waist for scorned magnamalo tassets and using red scrolls by the default would you have done this if you had talismans to get ammo up 2 ?
of course! :) you’re getting it! but make sure you have chain crit 2 first before slipping mail of hellfire
@@AngBata11 Do you mean chain crit 1? Since chain crit 2 would only add 1 attack and 1 element over chain crit 1 for ranged. And wouldn't element crit be a better priority over mail of hellfire if it hasn't been maxed out first (assuming 100% crit). It's my assumption based on what I've seen online, please let me know if I'm wrong.
I don't really dereliction so I switched lv 1 dereliction for lv 7 atk boost. qurios crafting really gave a lot of good slots for deco so I could fit that in.
dereliction 3 is so much better than attack boost 7 if we are talking elemental damage

So wait why Narwa lbg vs Khezu lbg for rapid fire thunder? Im trying out lbg for the first time and was curious what the difference was... is it damage? I noticed khezu can shoot and reload while moving vs narwa which can only shoot while moving. Please & thanks! 🙏

DPS-wise, no. Normal elemental pierce beats out rapid-fire.
So im doing my own set and im doing 100 or more a tick sometimes. Im wondering what makes the largest part of that damage? With all those new posibble slots, i dont know what to add

Question for you, have you tooled around with Elemental LBG without Dereliction? Think Bloodlust / Hellfire / Coa?
it is possible but building a set based on that means just trying to reach for the damage of a elemental dereliction build that is average even with god talismans.
What's best for rapid fire piercing dragon?
I augmented Silver mail and got 3 slot upgrades, at the cost of the 1 point of critical element, was it a good trade off?
Is it worth it using sets like this but without dereliction? For those of us that prefer comfort over deeps? I'd love to see a video like this but focusing more on that.
Without losing damage compared to these sets? No. But if you still want comfort then ingot greaves/storge greaves+sinister waist/rath waist unless u are using thunder element then astalos legs is a good option. As for glove, right now the best is def lucent gloves because of evade window 3 and adrenaline(ez+15 attack for 30 sec)
Worth it? No. Because you be will back to camp more often. Imo, if you want comfort, you should use non ele build. It's better than running ele without dereliction.
I also thought the hp drain would be too much to handle, but you will always proc bloodlust (recovering the red portion of hp lost) and, with the help of evade extender, you rarely get hit.
Which of these 2 talismans is best suited for these builds? The 2 that I'm not sure about is a 2 rapid fire up, 2 spare shot 3-1-1 slot
The other is 2 chain crit, 2 divine blessing 2 slot

Is there a chance the new Golden rathian become a new meta for N2 rapidfire? The status and ammo is very decent for normal ammo build.

Hi, thx for sharing the build. But i have a question. In your video, silver spartacus have fast reload with 3+ reload. But my lbg only have below avg for reload spd.
Maybe due to the switch skill you have equipped? I think some guns can't handle elemental reload for example.
Hi Bata, I just wanted to let you know that since the update, going back to the base camps and entering the tent when the Derelection talent is active no longer resets the number of qurios around you to 0. So would the elemental dragon set be viable? Also, this means that the Derelection set for stickies is possible!

I wish they simplified the Augmentation system with less RNG with it. I felt this is a waste of time, sure I can grind and get what I want but then after 1 month new DLC comes and then your old set piece with augment becomes obsolete and your back to grinding again just to find your self months later with new DLC and new armor sets AGAIN.

Hi AngBata, can I get your thoughts on Dereliction vs Elemental Exploit? For elemental gunning, wouldn't it be better to max elemental exploit and supplement the damage with additional dereliction?
nope just 1 element exploit is enough.
look at it this way.
elemental ammo deals 2 damage.
element exploit increases it by a percentage.
dereliction increases via a flat number
Elemental exploit increases it by 15%
Dereliction will increase it by 25
15% of 2 is?
while dereliction goes 25 + 2.

I'm new to lbg and when it comes to elemental I keep running out of ammo even bringing materials to craft more. Do I just have to return to the tent to get more ammo or is there something I'm missing?
How much does the few percentage of affinity actually bring to the table? Is it not better to add more attack augment rather than affinity?
Unless you have some wierd set up prioritizing crit beats prioritizing raw. Crits are multiplicative, raw is additive

@@sanguinetales Not for elemental builds lol. Crit only multiplies the raw portion of the damage. A chance at a 25% increase on 30% of bullets damage is a tiny increase compared to just slotting raw.

Hey Ang, What do you think of the Antique Machina Bowgun for Freeze Pierce? It has Rapid, walking reload and firing, has 7 in the clip, same damage and the only thing it's lacking is the 2 slot and has a 1 slot instead.

Nope, the ammo count is too low. You simply can't hold/craft enough to make it viable.
Hey Ang! should I be using Elemental reload switch skill for this instead of reload? since it only has a downside of setting some ammo types from fastest to fast.

how would this compare to some of the better raw rf pierce sets? worth using over those? stuff built around vigil kugel and the like.
elemental lbgs deal more damage than raw pierce. raw pierce is still good - it's more of like a general approach. Elemental lbgs.. are more specific

I hate the new augment system. Its just sitting in front of the same screen for a hour or two getting what you want.

Na, augment system is ok. Its a fun gimmick, not something you should rely on to create super OP killing builds.

Yet literally everyone will use it to create said op builds. Also why even add a system like this if its considered A gimmick? This was a stupid move on cap one part end of story. People will want to get chain crit for example as a free skill on their armor, you would be doing yourself A disservice if you didn't. They added a slot machine in a game that didn't need it.

I am heavily behind on things, hadn't played Rise for like a year before Sunbreak came out and am struggling to get everything done and made, and I want to cutdown on the time it would take me get everything done, and a One size fits all LBG does just that until I can get myself to make the others.

depends on the gun. if your gun is that silver rath you're looking at 20% aff from bloodlust , 15% from daora , 20% from gun so slot that in

Not a fan of elemental bowguns because I run out of ammo too quickly, it's very dependant on Spare Shot luck. I only use it on very elementally weak monsters like Diablos, Hermitaur, etc.
yes, thats why i never use elemental pierce, ammo empty SO quickly, not really good for multiplayer when i have to go back to camp 3 times. Also i have to be positioned perfectly otherwise damage is low.
I just use normal elemental ammo, way easier to play, still so much damage against elemental weak monsters and ammo lasts for atleast 10+ minutes, until then many monsters are already dead.

I think you still need affinity to proc crit element since it's like crit boost if im not wrong.
