as for the sneak attack in my previous comment, i forgot which one actually
it works on sticky but remembers it has a minimum distance to activate so being a gunner where we already a paper glass cannon if you are confident with the dodging skill you can try to get a bit closer to a monster to get that bonus dmg but normally I won't because we already a damn wet paper, a small sneeze from a monster is enough to send us to the camp
i can tank some monsters A51+ with all the LBG sets from this channel, maybe it's a skill issue ?

But I'm more comfortable shooting at distance because I'm using the slightly modified glass Cannon version from this channel.
Does sticky have to be shot from behind or do you have to be behind when it explodes? I’ve tried it myself and never noticed a difference.
I really like the priority list, just input the necessary skills + my talismans and augments and the set search does the rest of the work lol

Anything extra come with the required augments is just nice. There is a lack of ammo up in both of these builds, can't do anything about that in the first one but maybe if you can get lucky enough you can augment 3 ammo up into the armour pieces on top of the slot upgrades necessary for the second build. Personally I can live without that 1 extra round.

Why is it easier or pc? Do you simply lack thumbs, are you not a thumb user? If you can't use the most simple and fastest way to craft gunpowder, then I don't think gunner is for you.

I kinda against using cluster on LBG because it is kinda a bother to use, and either way clusters are hard to use without completely obliterating your melee teams (especially my friends who use melee.) But honestly, the ancient machina HBG has LEVEL CLUSTER SHOTS LV 3, is a good gun with stickys, and looks cool is hella tempting that I would discard my humanity just to use it.
if my melee teams are blade users I just tell them to cut the tail first and I cluster on the head area. after they cut the tail I cluster on the tail area and they hit the head win win coop is more fun with coordination anyway

What's the cluster ammo usage/crafting rotation?
Shoot 3s,shoot the 2s you brought on the quest with you, craft more 3s out of the 1s. NEVER SHOOT YOUR 1s they are your ammo for creating more 3s. Rotation goes
Shoot 3s
Shoot 2s
Craft 3s (all at once option)
Craft 1s (all at once option during the animation of you reloading your 3s)
Shoot 3s
Craft 3s
Craft 1s
Always remember you can be crafting ammo during reloading of clusters or any ammo for that matter.
you are amazing as usual with your builds and runs as for me i just unnerfed the stickies lol I do it for the fun not so much for the speed runs as is what this and many games are getting centered around thus ruining the "fun" in a game in my opinion of course i respect others choices and opinions when it comes to online play and everyone loves the cheese :)

Anyone tried using charged sticky/wyvern HBG build? Its not ideal for speedrunning but is very effective and fun to use in multiplayer and long hunts.
I kid you not the amount of people online with bowguns is insane,I feel like I’m doing something wrong playing melee.
Bowguns are just so powerful and you can dish out dmg fast. The only weapon comparable I think is Charge Blade elemental.

Never charge unless you are aiming for a good spot and your cannon doesn't allow walking fire

what you can do is think of skills + slots in terms of points on the armor piece in question.
assuming you want to keep all the skills on the armor (crit eye + crit boost)
the kaiser crown x has a point total of (6 x 3 = 18) for slots, (15 x 3 = 45) for crit eye, 15 for crit boost and lastly the budget is 12. thus the total point value of that helm is 90. keep in mind that -skill (10 extra points for aug) isn't something you would want to land. the best thing you could get is -5 (5 extra points) from -defense.
(assuming we only want to keep crit eye on it)
kadachi helm x has a point total of (6 x 2= 12) for slots, (15 x 3 = 45) for crit eye and jump master + constitution could be worth a extra 20 points and the budget is 18.
thus the point total is 75 but again there are two skills that you could turn into 10 points each which would bring it up to 95.
another way to look at it is, kadachi helm x needs 1 1 slot and both jump master + constitution to be taken off and turned into points and then you need to also land crit boost skill. if you did all that, it would be even with kaiser crown x. you would have 18 + 20 = 38. 38 - 6 - 15 = 17 points left. aka kadachi helm x would have 5 more points then kaiser crown x. however you would need to roll a stupid number of times to actually land those rolls and then....you have to hope for even MORE good rolls to actually beat kaiser crown x which honestly isn't even possible. kaiser crown x still comes out on top but it REALLY depends on what you actually need, looking at JUST one piece isn't good enough, need to factor in all 5 pieces + charm.
LASTLY keep in mind augment count, while kadachi helm x could be equal with kaiser crown x, kadachi helm x used 4 of it's 7 augments to reach that point. using the above example the stats would be
kaiser crown x : 0 / 7 aug slots and 12 points.
kadachi helm x : 4 / 7 aug slots and 17 points.
you will run out of aug slots before you really get a chance to pass kaiser crown x. plus you need a LOT more luck with kadachi helm x

How are you able to shoot clusters that fast? I have not touched clusters in this game because world made clusters shoot in arc.
HBG has some weapons that can shoot cluster like that such as the one shown in the video.
@@RujinFujin oh ok but is this new in terms of sunbreak or has it always had some guns being able to do this even in base rise? If so I have been in a lot of four manned gunner matches with sticky users and none used clusters.

You would have to ask them. If it was me with nothing but Bowguns, im spamming clusters like crazy.

man, it’s a shame there’s no good way to make a build with no barrel mods, cuz this gun looks great without one.
it might be nice to squeeze in special ammo boost if you can since sticky sets are less skill intensive but more resource restrictive, so anytime i can use an infinite ammo source is nice. 🤷♂️

Well are you blowing up your team? If you play in multiplayer you have to play very carefully. For example i shoot clusters at monster when it runs to me and away from blade masters. Or if the monster is doing that Qurio explosion i shoot clusters. Or is everyone os focused on a certain area i shoot clusters. I play Clusters ALOT in multiplayer and never been kicked.

Even if you intentionally pick the bad absorbing spot to fire the cluster, people still walk near it and blame it. Dude, you guys are supposed to aim for the head, what is the point of making white numbers?

Explosives in Title update 1 make me sad. they just cannot finish level 90+ investigations at all let alone multi monster ones and thats from my experience w/ a super glassy dereliction set, long hunts mean more time to make mistakes and get one tapped. Still pretty decent for non afflicted 6 star stuff and likely the sub level 50 investigations will still be ok too but for what 90% of the endgame grind is rn, Capcom effectively killed the sticky devil at last.
Should only have to restock once from my experience in 100 afflicted.
@@RujinFujin maybe you were getting more lucky w spare shot or charging a lot more plus better aim because the norm for me was more like restocking twice, multi monster investigations beyond level 60 were just a complete slog compared to just bringing element and shredding. my point isnt that its impossible theyre just too far behind to be worth it now. The nature of afflicted hunts also hurts stickies imo as I find they really struggle to pop the afflicted spots unless you hit them dead on (pretty conspicuous seeing as their hurtboxes tend to be rather generous w anything else) and they keep you away from shooting the head a lot of the time.
@@LordWallace i only charge if i have counter charger up. It could be build differences, idk, but ive never had an issue with the ammo. Your using up your wyvern ammo too?
If a monster is weak to element i would obv use element tho.

Maybe this is the difference since I go for clusters first a lot of the time on downs and often have wyvern ammo left after running out of stickies and well yeah I'm not going to chase an active mon down with just wyvern ammo so thats a restock. Hitting level clusters on active mons isn't as hard by comparison. I could try this approach and see if its a significant change. Also still need to augment my antique machina so thats a bit of dmg from Teo soul I still have on the table, then I'll try a high level garangolm or something.
@@LordWallace Ah, that could be it. Yes Wyvern can be a huge amount of damage esp if using Sneak Attack. I usually one Silkbind glide or one EE2 roll and can usually get off two Wyverns. If the monster is in a status chain or is constantly falling over you can get 3-5 Wyverns off before going back to your regular playstyle. But play what works for you, i see Artillery as a nice supplementary option when a monster has trash hitzones and isnt weak to elemental like Rakna. Otherwise, i pick other ammo types.
