I love this! ❤ Expats showing all the POSSIBILITIES OF Living in the Philippines. I'm in Texas and planning to to retire in the Philippines. To all the Filipinos dropping negative comments, I appreciate all of it, but I Do know you get what you pay for, and this is the point of the video!
Thank you so much! You’re right. Just another option. We don’t all have the same housing needs or the same budget 🥰 Can’t wait to retire in PI as well!
We moved from TX to here. We live in Carmona Estates as well. Pretty good area, not a whole lot of karaoke, havent heard one rooster in 2 years. Close enough to drive to Manila and surrounding cities where S&R stores are (like Costco)... It doesnt get overly hot here in my opinion, so as long as your neighbors are friendly, life is good in Carmona Estates... Or just up the road in Canyon Ranch.
@ So glad you are enjoying it! We have family there, so we will be visiting again this year. We like having things nearby without living in the middle of the chaos. There will definitely be some karaoke 😂🎤 Say hello to our friends at Kape Co., if you’re in the area 🥰
Is is hot in the Philippines, cold shower is a blessing. I’ll never forget when I went to Vietnam for the first time, it was 100 degrees at midnight and 100 percent humidity. It would rain during the day and stop, the steam bath routine was getting old fast. I would stand in the cold shower loving every second
That is very true. The last time we were in the Philippines, we had no hot water and showered with the tabo, it was nice to cool off at the end of the day. I think maybe people who like hot showers are also using a lot of A/C 😂
What this video can’t show is how HOT the neighborhood gets with all that concrete. Those poor dogs never stop barking because they’re chained up in the heat. I still can’t find a place because there are too many like this. Scorching hot concrete prison. Good luck. Plan about 3-6 months looking for that perfect place.
To qualify to rent these homes, you generally need to do check writing and provide checks from a Philippine Bank account post dated for the term of your lease. Sometimes homeowners association fees are added to your water bill too. Electric might be $200 a month depending on inverter aircons. You might have to purchase aircons and heating elements for the shower yourself in many cases. Owners are sometimes reluctant to rent only to foreigners for a variety of reasons.
No car port? Two essentials for anything over 8,500 are parking and air conditioning (at least a large opening with electric ready). Philippines bedrooms are usually small and don't accommodate anything larger than a full bed. This place is particularly small.
A Filipina friend of mine owns a condominium just outside of Manila. She has offered a place to stay if I ever work up the nerve. We both live in the US.
What a nice friend! Having accommodations is a big money saver. Manila can be a little busy and crowded, but it’s a great hub for traveling to other locations 👍🏼
Unfortunately, we had to leave. But we have more content from there to post and we hope to return soon. There is a lot to see and do. You will love it 🥰
It's a nice little house, but I would need a hot shower and aircon. You say they rent it by month, but that seems pretty impractical to me in view of the fact that it's unfurnished. Nobody is going to move in their own furniture for just one month. But apart from that, I really like it.
I think the idea is that you pay per month, but you rent long term. For that price, compared to other countries it seems really good, I don't know about Phil prices though.
@@lfcbpro That price is too expensive, at least for foreigners. I wouldn't even live there if it were for free or they paid me rent for me to live there. The music from the neighbors 24/7 makes that place super expensive.
There are many small shops in walking distance. The nearest supermarket is WalterMart. This and the public market are almost 6km from the home. There is a shuttle that drives between Carmona Estates to Waltermart for only 20 pisos.

@@daneenlife maybe Americans can accept this type of housing, but Western European have a different understanding of quality. And yes, I have been often enough to Philippines. And of course cleanliness is a big Problem. I recommend Taiwan. There many things work even better than in Switzerland
Rent a house in the Phil. for $250.00 is misleading. You are renting a place in the province and not a prime location and that is the reason it is cheap.
In order to possess a firearm in the Philippines, a person must be at a minimum age of 18 years and pass a background check to be issued a Possession License. They must also take a firearms training and safety course.

Agree. For some people like me who prefers convenience and always in a hurry, I would definitely look for an aircon and a carport for my car’s safety.
Very good price lots of space

oo nga!
$250/month and comes with neighbors' music 24/7, which makes the rent actually California rate. 🙂

where I live in san Juan Batangas, you can rent a house like that for $80 a month or 4000 pesos a month
Carmona is in Cavite not laguna.
$250 in Connecticut gives you half months Electricity bill
