I am a Real Estate Broker (31years) 20 minutes south of Boston and I am amazed at what you are paying to rent that beautiful home. In my area that house would be $4,000. (U.S.) a month. In the DFW area. It would be around $2,000 to $3,000 easy. Depending on what are you lived in.
A studio in bay area California is around 2k a month, with homeless people living 20 feet from you apartment and drug addicts and criminals everywhere you go
What a very nice set up. The price for that quality standard of living is amazing…even a man cave! Leah’s bubbly enthusiasm for your new home says it all.

Hey guys, glad you found a home that's just right for you. It's a great deal for that price i think. Those rooms are large, the kitchen is spacious, there are ceiling fans everywhere and wardrobes in all the bedrooms which are huge for the Philippines. The bathrooms have hot water if you want it and i noticed the showers have the little riser to keep the water from going everywhere. Just add a shower curtain and no spraying even. The yard is huge. You have so many fruit trees and plenty of room for gardening and growing vegetables. It's practically perfect as Mary Poppins would say. It pays to be patient. Good luck on the new home. I know you will enjoy it. Gary, have you thought about buying a short Step ladder for Leah so she can reach the shelves? Enjoy guys.

Really. You are lucky couple enough to have a good house in the province of Dumaguete. You have big spacious in your property and nice plants, vegetables , banana etc. You can save money , you don't need to buy fruits and vegetables. Nice place to live with.

That is a beautiful house. You were fortunate to find that. Close to American standards if it had an indoor laundry room and a central hot water tank for use at all the faucets.

Finally, I've always wondered what is used in the Philippines to keep the grass cut low in the yard. In America, we use a lawnmower, but I've heard that lawnmowers are not available in the Philippines.

Beautiful yard, beautiful house, beautiful filipina. Very cheap by Western standards. But how safe is that neighborhood? This house is surrounded by a 6 or 8 foot wall topped with barbed wire, plus all the windows have burglar bars on them plus a security storm door.

That’s a quarter of what my mortgage is, and that’s in OKC, which in the Inited States is one of the cheapest cities to live in. That’s why in seven yrs when I retire, I’m moving to the Philippines.

That's a really nice place for $500 a month. Little sad to hear it's hard to find a nice place there, however. So i might end up in a condo at first, until I find a place. Definitely want to eventually get something that allows me to set up my own in home gym. Plus, do cookouts and whatnot

It’s a very nice house with a large property for the price. Shows there are still reasonable places to rent. When I made a comment on another channel that the price for a studio was not reasonable I was chastised by the channel. One thing I notice in many houses in the Philippines is that the bathroom door are not as wide as the bedroom doors.
