You obviously didn't pay too much attention to the series, because Murad had his own shortcomings. That man, even though he can be credited for rooting out a lot of corruption and inept military and government officials, as well as reconquering Baghdad and whooping the Safavids, he had a ruthless streak about him that would make even the biggest Murad fanboy/fangirl run for the hills. He was known for having people executed on the spot without trial whenever they stepped out of line.
There was even a source that said that Murad, when he had one drink too many (even though he had outlawed alcohol in the empire), he snuck out of the women's quarters in the middle of the night, loosely wearing a night gown, randomly attacking and killing people with his sword. On top of that, before he died from liver failure (if the histories are to be trusted), he ordered to have his brother, Ibrahim, strangled to death, even if it meant making the Ottoman dynastic line extinct, which would have caused God knows how much damage and chaos in the long run. So yeah, a real giga Chad, eh?
