Selim might be the best character in the season 4. The actor did an amazing job portraying an unconfident man, scorned by everyone, who finally decides to stand up for himself. He didn't win the throne thanks to his father's support, but due to his own intelligence.

This is d sad outcome of barbaric ottoman law which stipulated the other brothers to be killed by the one who ascends the throne
Not surprising that selim is drowning in guilt and grief

Because ottoman sultans had like 50 concubines and each one had about 15 kids no wonder they will kill for throne

@@themotiavtionzoneactually, no - the rule allowed each concubine to have only one son. If she had a daughter or daughters before, then yeah, but the moment she birthed a boy, that's it.
Hurrem was an exception in that time.

10:50 when she literally couldn't digest the truth, she slapped Selim !! Selim may not be the best, but he was definitely not like the rest🔥!!

Selim was the worst but he never played victim, never tried so and he always accepted his doings. He wasn't a hypocrite about his actions, he admitted them.

Cause of the decline and setting a weak line of sultans... Those who even didn't leaved their palace for years, campaigns are something far

She had nothing to do with Mustafa's son's death.

@@fortheloveofcats2462 indirectly she does, she caused the death of Mustafa and all son of a traitor are executed to prevent future treason.
Also Mihrimah doesn’t feel guilty about Mustafa cause he was their half-brother, she did that to protect her “true” brothers, she thought that if one of them is on the throne they wouldn’t killed each other, she was close to Bayezid and knew he wouldn’t killed a brother, not like Selim (she tought he didn't have the guts) and Mustafa(she wasn’t close enough to him to knew the pact that he had with Bayezid and Cihangir). In those time half or not its still a fraticide Mihrimah.

What about when Mahi poison hurrem when she is pregnant with Mehmet and then she finally killed Mehmet.... Didn't she try to kill hurrem a lot of times........ All was started by Mahi, walda, khatige. And so on she was only defending her self and her children...
