such a cool concept for a series, i subbed for future episodes! my feedback for future episodes is for both players to use a larger variety of characters if possible, both brawler and marth are sick but i was left wanting to see more chars pull off crazy beastball combos

Ep. 3 (which we just recorded) involved a lot of different character picks, and seeing as Spritzy & I play Random dittos a lot, it'd be silly not to lab with more characters going forward. Actually no I did some more testing and this is still wrong lmao, it really does just seem completely random. Sometimes you Z-drop and it teleports without hitting an enemy, sometimes you Z-drop and it doesn't teleport after hitting an enemy, it really does seem to be 100% RANDOM AAAAA

27:30 Sorry it took me a year after this video came out to explain what happened but.. The beastball spawned slightly below Kazuya to try to predict where he was *going* to be, but because he was a few frames from landing on the ground, it spawned slightly inside the stage, cancelling its momentum, and on top of that, landed at the exact same time and despawned because it was already used a few times. It's kinda like how when Samus uses charge shot right next to a platform and it disappears because it hit the floor of the platform, but imagine that happening as an item; the beastball is just a projectile that you can grab so it's a very similar concept.
0:20 absolutely love this, I find it fun to fight competitive friends when we both decide to use items in a competitive fashion. (Although I'm not a very hype player) Most fun match I've had was probably when I turned like, most items on.
5:40 really wish this game had better item spawning, in Shovel Knight Showdown the items come in from the sides of the screen in bubbles, so people closer to the edge can have a better chance at items but they need be able to attack in order to pop the bubble. The way items in smash causes too many positive feedback loops, which is why I don't like playing with them. Also, love the series concept, can't wait to see more. Beast balls are such a fun as hell item

I love this series, because I have definitely played in the past with only like one item legal, it’s actually super sick with some of them and creates some fun new modes. Heck, why am I not subscribed to this man yet with the sick content.

The other day I wanted to host an arena with something about voice call voting to add or remove an item, but the problem is, no one joined that would join the voice call, so I didn't even get the chance to stream line it. Not only that, but in like, the only match that was there, no items ever spawned for some reason.

This item turns the game from character V character to player V player. It allows for almost GUILTY GEAR/DMC levels of expression. I got all that from watching some grown adults playing with balls in a video game.
