Goes without saying (but I have to say if anyway of course) I feel extremely lucky to be able to fall pregnant and carry children. Every bit of sickness and nausea is worth it 100x over ❤️❤️

Thank you for the video! This will be such a help to anyone suffering with pregnancy sickness! I'm 13 weeks and had horrible Morning Sickness since 6 weeks. I was put on medication however it got to a point I couldn't keep anything down or even get out of bed and at about 10 weeks and I was hospitalised. I'm now able to keep more food down and even had a Filet o fish today 😂, so to anyone reading this please know it will get better. There will be an end to the sickness and it will be worth it ❤️ You are stronger than you know x x x

I love that you’re using your platform to talk about this! 💞 I’ve had HG with my last baby and in this pregnancy and my doctors and local hospital couldn’t have been any more amazing! but so many women still struggle to get the help that they need because it’s not something that is heard of so people and even some doctors aren’t actually educated in it!
I wish more people would talk openly about it via social media 💙

I needed this so bad! I'm 7 weeks pregnant with my first child and i've been awfully sick since 6 weeks. I got put on some medication but the throwing up and sickness last all day I feel like I might die. (I know, I still have longs ways to go) I'm glad i'm not the only one who feels this sick. Thanks for the tips Lucy!! xox

What a fantastic video with great tips. I too suffered with HG in my single & more recently twin pregnancy. It was HORRENDOUS but eased at 18 - 20 weeks. I lost a load of weight & had to see a dietician, not easy to fatten up to support a twin pregnancy when you're constantly puking & nausea. I found the night time the worse, it got so bad I used be up at night puking.
Fair play to you coming through the HG & rocking your twin pregnancy!

It’s so nice to hear someone else who experienced the same thing, I was hospitalised at 16 weeks for a week to stabilise my HG and put on 3 strong anti sickness, mine finally wore off at 22 weeks but was still sick randomly up until delivery! I’d love more babies but I would be so scared of it happening again! Thank you for getting it out there that it is much worse than morning sickness 💕

Hi Lucy. I’m 15 weeks now, have been on the same medication as you, 3 times a day since 9 weeks. I’ve only been in hospital once, for 3 nights last week. Your tips are great and I definitely agree with the ice one. I’m really hoping it eases off around 18-20 weeks like yours did 💕

Oh Lucy sorry you have had hypremisis I've had it bad for 4 months lost weight and put on drip twice. Its so draining. I had it with my daughter 13 years ago too. Yet not a single bout of sickness with my son. You look amazing and so glowing looking forward to your baby vlogs you not got long now.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. HG is so, so tough - mentally and physically. And then just adding that onto regular pregnancy symptoms (especially if you are carrying multiples, like you are!). I am so impressed that you were able to persist with your channel as much as you have done. Well done! I was very sick for my first pregnancy, and unfortunately lost our beautiful baby girl at 25 weeks when she was stillborn :( I also suffered from pretty severe sickness in my second pregnancy too - but started medication as soon as the first signs of nausea even started, and that made a big difference. I was still throwing up days before I had my second rainbow baby, but it was so much better than what it could have been. Great topic for a video. Thanks for sharing. Love your channel! xo

Love this informative video and advice, i soooo wish I had these tips when I had morning sickness 😭 I’m also due on January 14th, and I suffered with such bad nausea and occasional vomiting from 6 weeks to maybe about 20 weeks, so glad I’m feeling pretty much normal again at 29 weeks!! All I could eat when I felt sick was bland foods- bread, baked potato, chips for literally weeks, so boring but that’s what worked for me, I would love to know if anyone else felt the same 😊

I had Hyperemisis in all 4 of my babies.. I was on drips in hospital and lost a tonne of weight. I had to spit to stop the sickness (sounds gross unless you have been through it). There was no medication that stopped it. I think there needs to be a strong line between morning sickness and the danger of hyperemisis. Was completely different.
I used to have fizzy water to try and stop it. Frozen peas and cucumber slices. Just kept me hydrated slightly longer.

So glad this is becoming more aware, I had hg with both pregnancies and had to go in for IV fluids and lost so much weight, ondansetron was such a life saver, I would still be sick everyday just not as much as without it however it never stopped for me and I was still sick when in labour and after labour.

Hang in there girl, there's tons of things that you can try to get peace, dont be disappointed. Its been a couple months that I have been on the same boat. I had severe nausea and good aversion. Rest is the primary factor in getting over the agony. I also recommend to take a look at an herbal cure "prenatal vitamins" by maternitytea.com. it got me unbelievable results in order to subside my nausea. I kept on taking them throughout my pregnancy and stayed absolutely fine. wish for you to have a healthy baby

My first pregnancy I had really bad HG but I’m 10 weeks into my second and it’s been nowhere near as bad as the first time! I’ve found if my stomach gets empty is when the sickness gets worse so little and often helped me a lot.

  • @marriedthemusic4693

fyi ondansetron- is Zofron.. it is one of the strongest anti nausea medications they do not recommend pregnant women use it. In certain situations yes they do such as Lucys. Zofron is also given during chemo treatments for nausea, it is very strong. I have had to take it unfortunately for years but I do not recommend it, unless its absolutely necessary. Hope you have two beautifu healthyl twins Lucy!!

  • @Dellie_C

Even listening you talking about this makes me feel nauseous 😂 I had bad sickness with my first two pregnancies which I needed medication for but I wouldn’t have said it was affecting my day to day life massively and then came my third pregnancy. I remember lying in bed crying on the phone to the hospital because I was just too weak, it tailed off a little around 20 weeks but I continued to be sick until I gave birth. My best tip was to sip water a lot! I got through litres and litres of it a day and even though it was coming back up it was helping me not to become ridiculously dehydrated

    • @sandragreen2902
      @sandragreen2902 5 ปีที่แล้ว

Hope you are not that bad this time around. I would back hospital for not helping you with medicines as they are as helpful for and for the baby instead you can go for herbs that at least dont hurt you anyway. I have been on a DHA approved prenatal vitamins which really eased off the agony. Just to take a glimpse over maternitytea.com for "Prenatal vitamins" could bring you tremendous peace. hope for the best as the sickness doesnt last for ever.

This is exactly what I went through sickness every 10 minutes and dehydration! No medication worked unfortunately. and these are the exactly the same cravings and things I did! Iced water always with me! And I must of gone through 2 cartons of orange juice a day! Like my partner was banned from even looking at my orange juice 🤣. My hg then lead to pulmonary embolisms in Both lungs from how bed ridden I was unluckily! My hg lasted from 10 weeks till I was giving birth and then instantly stopped the moment the placenta came out! All worth it and a very healthy big baby boy!

Wish I hadn't just come out of my sickness. I'm now 19 weeks and although I only had what I expect was average sickness (baby number 1), it lasted until 18 weeks! Nobody prepares you for that. I still can't drink room temperature water either. I couldn't cope with sweets but absolutely loved pepperamis, because they are so strongly flavoured! Everything else had to be plain tasting and beige.
I couldn't brush my teeth properly for a long time!! Especially not a tongue clean 🤮 thanks for your tips x

I just want to mention that there are levels of hg. And i had the worst of the worst. You wont be even sitting or walking... I had it for 8 months, 20 times hospital stays.. Last 2 months, they keep me in the hospital. I coulnt walk, eat.. even the lights hurted my eyes, my legs ware sooo weak.. I coulnt walk... As soon as i was 37 weeks, they made me have the baby. It is horrible horrible horrible, i prayed to die every single day and feld guilty because of the baby.the worst thing about extreemly hg.. It breaks you emotionally, it leaves you with nothing, i was a zombie.. Zofran helpt me a bit.and still.. I want a second baby😂.. I am innnnnsane. But good to see that you are feeling better🌹🌹🌹

That i can br much much much worst and sometimes.. Nothing helps you.. The only thing that helped me.. Was the birth.. Which was nothing compare to the hg i had😂😂😂.. Because i wanted her.. They told me.. You need to push with all you have.. We know you dont have much strength.. But try before we cut you open.. And i swear.. It was like i become superwomen, with 2 pushes.. Ice craving can be a sign of anemia. Lots of women crave ice during pregnancy because of this but obviously you used it to curb sickness. Just thought I’d mention it in case anyone was craving ice!!
