@@TheCod3r I came across your videos because I started repairs by buying some broken consoles and learning as i go. I got an xbox one 1540 and bunch of caps are shorted to ground, so i've been working on that... I finally realized that a bunch of components are missing from the board (including the same resistor you first found missing!) But my case is that this xbox was purchased from mercari (like ebay) and thus I take on that risk of receiving items previously worked on. In my case i have a bad feeling this one i got was used for parts already as a donor board lol so many components missing from the board.. It turns on and turns off after 2-3 seconds. Either way, keep videos coming. Watching the rest of your videos so you may notice some thumbs up :P
At R9E2 where u placed a resistor because u was thinking its missing. there should be NO resistor at all!!! have a board with some problems here. and there are these pads compleatly without solder, only copper exposed.
Phil i have a xbox one the first model with liquid damage it whas under the apu and the ram chips if i put the power brick in it turns from orange to off so no white light the xbox try,s to turn on for a second and the power brick is back orange i blew the liquid out with air still nothing any idea if its repairable or better get a other xbox one ? Friendly regards
hey bud on those little mosfets the TPN8R903NL are the top right 3 pins all the same ? when i took out one to replace it all became one blob i tried cleaning it no luck its all one pad now basically .
@@TheCod3r i appreciate u replying so fast brother thanks. But u know before the xbox was dead no light or sound at all. i checked i had a short, so i replaced the left small mosfet, short went away but now quick on then off. i cheked all 3 and they get .68v but not the 1.8v ??

Do you have the impedance from the rail between these mosfets (that goes to GPU) to ground? Regards.

Yes mate there's a group of 4 on the bottom (the source), a single pad on top left (the gate) and a group of 3 top right (the drain)

It's called isopropyl alcohol. It's non conductive so completely safe for the board :)

It depends what's actually happened to it, but it would almost definitely work out cheaper to fix the console rather than replace it
