I like Alter a lot more as I have learned about Specter, and am happy Laurentina is back. Also, Amaia getting her comeuppance makes me happy. What she did to Laurentina is horrifying.
Its not that Specter doesn't give a shit, the infected and rhode island's sarkaz issues just don't concern her. She's nice enough person which is why she's "the most approachable abyssal hunter" and did stuff like give Suzuran a christmas present after suzuran gave her one.

The story of the Abyssal Hunters were kinda similar to God Eaters in my opinion. Both may transform to the beings they fought but in different methods. Abyssal Hunters, through time passes by may transforms to Seaborns while God Eaters may turn into Aragami if their armlet is destroyed or using a different Gods Arcs which doesnt belong to them.
If the seaborne blood is able to fight back the originium invasion inside ones body, this could become an important part to find a cure for treating oripathy. Would be crazy if the seaborne saga would lead back to Rhodes Island that way.
The problem is that the Seaborn as a organism like the "Thing" from the movie overtakes their hosts/assimilates their body over time. So them being resistant/immune to Oriopathy is because they literally eat the crystals along everything else inside your body and replaces them with more Seaborn cells/dna. So them being infected/in contact with Originium-particles in a weird twist of fate prolongs their life because it slows down the assimilation process.
@@MonoReaper imagine if RI can find a way to reverse engineer Seaborne infection into a cure for Oripathy. weak enough to not overtake the host but still able to reduce Oripathy infection.

Specter's mental health was too compromised for her to give sober consent to fight. Rhodes Island definitely deserves to be sued for this breach of ethics.

Laurentina's personality felt pretty jarring when I first completely read Under Tides and finished Stultifera Navis the other day. I really didn't expect her to be the snarky type, and that really just seems to amuse me.

To be honest, im quite intrigue in amaia's point of view. She talks a lot of philosophy bullshit to a dumb seaborn who doesn't anything unless you talk about food and evolution and kin. Its sound nonsense but it sounds logical thats why she's interesting. Even sacrifice her body for something unknown.
in the event nodes (where you find items and select action options), it's told that the church of the deep people actually are researchers that find the seaborn ability to evolve fascinating seems like mad scientists in real life that don't care about doing an experiment that would kill themself just to prove their theory
