I had to order new clutch set after installing mine, at first it was fine but after a few minutes at cuising speed my bike didnt want to downshift at all, so I manage to park on the side road and ajusted the clutch lever but now I found a major restriction when I put the bike on the rear stand and pit the bike in first and pushing the clutch I was not able to move the rear wheels until a bit of force and it loosen up a bit but still, now the bike is only 6000miles and dont know what to check
My friend, I want to clarify the kick shifter for my bike when using it from Speed 2 to Speed 3 It stumbles and becomes very hard. Where is the problem? Is it on a disc or a damaged cake shifter?

So I took the Quickshifter out and install the OG and it work good down shifts test ride FRWY GOOD RESIDENTIAL AREA GOOD SO I GUESS I JUST WASTED MY MONEY
For anyone installing this, my top lollipop bolt fell out while ridding today, luckily I put it back in and went home... I went to the local shop and got a lock washer and nut (with more loctite) and installed it on the back side of the lollipop bolt. That bitch shouldn't ever come loose again. These CP3 really rattle the bolts on this bike my god you gotta loctite everything.
Harder how? Like it won't go into the next gear? I would also just kinda double back on everything you did to make sure the connector is fully seated, check shift rod length, etc.
I’m not blaming you but maybe on your next vlog if your going to install something maybe u can say like to people might work or might not work another word is not for everybody

It comes with one from factory???
It only comes hardwired ready for a quick shifter from the factory. Certain models already come with the quick shifter, but mine did not.
Question, do you have to activate the QS everytime you turn the bike on, or does it stay on by default?
nope, once you it's activated it will stay on by default until you turn it off again.

Yep. Even with the quick shifter activated you can shift normally if you want to.

The black plastic piece on the front of the tank is called the intake cover, and the “lollipop” is called a heim joint.

I believe the is the same quickshifter used on the new tracers as well...I could be wrong though. just be sure to verify with the Yamaha website.

Yeah I've seen a bunch of them do come with the quick-shifters. But it seems to mainly be the ones sold outside of the US. I could be wrong though.
