Beautiful restoration! And, RIP, Walt--thank you for your service.
Thanks Kathy! We're looking to recruit another Walt!
Wow, gorgeous restoration! You two went the extra mile custom sanding and cutting down all those screw caps. Well worth it, this 3 tone wood is phenomenal.
That is gorgeous, Jim and Cindy!!!!! A little rustic but oh so fresh. I love that it still has a vintage look to it. Bravo!!!!😍
Thanks so much! You know how much we love your videos too!💗
Maple is touchy, wood conditioner is always a good plan before staining. It's so cottagey cute.
Thanks Kelly!
This piece has much more character now. It has a lovely rustic, farmhouse feel. Very nice :-)

Great work as always...I think leather handles would of looked really nice on here ....Take care ...stay safe....
Thanks 👍
This looks really lovely! I’m so impressed with how the drawers look with the lighter stain: I think that it really highlights the shape of the drawers, especially the one that has the decorative lower edge.
Thanks so much! 😊

Such an interesting piece. You did a lovely job. It reminds me of saddle shoes - the original ones. It’s got a very 40s vibe.🌸
Thank you so much Debbie!
Well done! It looks great 👍👏
Thank you Amy! 😊
Beautiful
Thanks Nancy!!!
ahhh Walt, he saw the scrapers come in and knew his time was up, LOL.
Walt was about 6 years old, so he did a lot of work! Time to retire......😅
Now she has character 😀
Thanks!!!
Pretty piece. Those buttons were a lot of work but it was a nice look 💙
Thank you! 😊

Thank you so much LaVonne!
Wow 🤩 what a labour of love making all those buttons for the handles . Great 👍 job ! Waiting for more videos to come . Do you ever go buffets ?
We actually have a buffet that we are working on and the video should be out next week! Thanks!
Very nice
Thanks!
Wow! Talk about overkill on those handles. I guess they really didn't want them to ever come off. Good job on that difficult piece.
Notice we didn't glue the handles back on?🤣 Thanks K!
Very nice! The buttons add neat touch. I agree with the viewer that said they remind her if saddle shoes! Lol. I wonder what was spilled that made the color on that side take darker. Great job you guys!
You never know what's spilled on some of these pieces!😂 Thanks Vickie!
RIP Walt😭
Thanks DJ!
Omg if i got on the floor like that i wouldnt b able to get up, 🤣🤣
Notice we didn't show me getting up?🤣Thanks Fiona!
@@FurnitureWarriors hahahaha
VERY pretty! I hope you get $1000 for it!
Unfortunately, we won't get near that much in our market, but thank you!!!!!
@@FurnitureWarriors I moved this year. If we picked up free pieces off the street in Philly and sold them out west we would make a killing!! If only I had a truck!
True! Prices vary so much across the country!
This is beautiful. Was there a reason you scraped it rather than using a chemical finish remover?
Yes! We just got the scrapers in and had to try them!😅 Actually, it's quite cold here in Chicago, and the stripper doesn't seem to work as well for us in the cold. Thanks Ellen!
Who does a better job at scraping?
Hahaha! If I say Cindy does, will she get to do all of the scraping?🤣
@@FurnitureWarriors Of course! lol
Why would someone attach the handles from the front instead of the back? And what purpose did those pegs have?
On older furniture, the hardware was sometimes screwed in from the front like this. The pegs were just decoration to cover the screw heads. Thanks Cherry!
@@FurnitureWarriors I’ve never seen that before. You did a good job with it.
I might be wasting my time and product, but I condition all wood before I stain. 🤷♀️
Some woods we do condition, especially if were using something other than gel stain. Thanks Catherine!
I would love to see 1 that is left in light wood, ie oak, or this 1 would have been perfect. So many people restaining everything they do. Would love to have seen different handles, that was a lot of work. Sorry, but they must be the ugliest handles ever. Much better than the original tho. Love your videos, despite my negativity on this 1. Dark furniture hasn't sold well in the UK for a very, very long time.
We wanted to stay as original as we could, but it had to have a little something. So we left the drawers natural. It's certainly different from our other makeovers, but we like to do new things.....Not every piece will make everyone happy. We understand and appreciate your comments as they were a carefully written opinion vs. just plain "bashing". Thanks Debra!💗
@@FurnitureWarriors no, I don't do bashing, if I don't like, then I don't comment. 😊. I'd just like to see something not dark, after watching this 1 I watched the green painted 1 where you watered down the paint, like a whitewash. As I say, they all leave you better than what you started with 👌
Boy they sure did no how to make furniture back then
Yes they did! Thanks Fiona!
Beautiful
Thanks Dodd!
