  • Here is a little trick how to make SmplTrek to work like a sort of "multi-sample" sampler.
Hey, Sonicware - if you enable sustain/release envelope on a Drum Kit - this can be actually used to it's full potential. Are you there? Hello?
You can download all 4 "instruments" I made for this video (for free)

Cool idea. For acoustic instruments I imagine it sounds a lot better than just sampling one note!

Yes, it "almost" sounds like a real sampler. And if sampled in a certain scale, one can fit 2 octaves. The downside is the lack of ASR curve on drumkit.

There is a kind of release envelope in the drum kits, but its hidden off in the parameter editor. If i recall it also slides as an attack envelope to one side, and a release on the other, so you have to choose one or the other. A bit goofy for sure.

Yes, but I want ASR envelope that responds to holding a key. As it is now no matter how long or short I hold the key it just triggers the slice and let the slice play till the end + optionally applies the Attack/Release envelope they call "Slope". The thing is, all the parts are there, it just needs a little tweak on the FW side.
