Yeah, right.
3D printed 3-axis Tourbillon mechanism
I saw this on makersworld and so I wanted to build it. I didn't know it's so big!
Got the screws/bearings kit on aliexpress for about 10 bucks.

Making DIY Davinci Resolve Speed Editor (Part 1)

I'm going to design Davinci Resolve Speed Editor from scratch and no, you can't stop me. This is going to be hands on experience as I'm filming as I go - from not knowing if I can make it - to, hopefully, super nice and very personalized clone of Speed Editor for blackmagic resolve. Part 2 is designing, making and wiring the UI box. Part 2: th-cam.com/video/7xXDX0vPnrw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gvMypD2vbje...

Sonicware SmplTrek Guitars Expansion

This is a new Guitars Expansion for SmplTrek. About 50 acoustic and electric single down-strum (so it doesn't depend on tempo) chords.Instead of instruments, these are actually "drum" kits that mimic keyboard and play guitar strum chords. You can of course repitch them. They follow C major scale with extra flavors on black keys fpham1.gumroad.com/l/smpltrekgt Also check my other Smpltrek and Lof...

Bowden extruders are fairly bad about stringing because of this but too much retraction might cause heat creep up the hotend to the Bowden and jam it. There’s retraction tests.
Wow! It is crazy!

Would you be willing to share your schematics, code, and 3D files please? I want to build one too!!! :)
The code (although not the very latest) is in github.com/FartyPants/Speed_editor_arduino The schematics? It's buttons through ground to random pins of arduino, except the encoder that needs the ones supporting interrupts. I'll do something with the 3d files too when I have time.
@@fpham8004 Thank you so much!

Hillarious Intro and great project!

So you didnt emulate the speed editor but rather the keyboad mouse functions that doo what the speed editor does, I thin the speed editor is reasonably priced witha copy of davinci, the Replay editor on the other hand cost neary twice as much requires studio but it doesnt come with studio, I assume replay editor would be a Big Big project to emulate
WHAT WILL BE THE COST YOU IF YOU MAKE ONE FOR ME
HOW MANY SKILLS AND TALENT YOU HAVE
Every tutorial should be done by Gru.
I just got a 4.0 NerdyHarpa kit in the mail- any advice on putting it together?
Start first by bending the top, because it takes time, and while it is soaking and drying start building. Also when you are gluing the two braces to the top (from the bottom of the top) scratch/rough sand the surface where the braces go and the braces so the glue joint will be really good - because if it pops when everything is glued then it'd be a nightmare.
Perfect edit for the short, Oscar. Like a loop. I watched it three times. ;-)
Woah! This was really neat to keep up with. It turned out perfect!
genius at work!
Awesome😃
You could make the travel guitar into a lapsteel by making a stand 👍👍😎
Such wonderful work! Each is special and has its own character. I'd love to play that classical guitar, tho I don't know why. It calls to me? Regardless, my favorite part of this video is how you don't remember how you made things. Embarrassing how much i relate to that.
Legit made me laugh while educating me.
Brilliant, Oscar! I'm so impressed. I love the hammered dulcimer. I always thought that I needed one of those...to go with the 10 other instruments I have and don't play. ;-) Once you tune the dulcimer, how is it at STAYING in tune?
It does stay reasonably in tune - in fact it is still somewhat in tune after sitting in basement for a decade. There is much bigger chance that the pegs will refuse to turn than to start turning freely. The biggest problem is that unlike say violin with thicker pegs, these have small diameter so a fraction of degree changes the pitch. It's really time consuming to tune the string perfectly because you need to just slightly breathe on the tuning key to get it there. And only the orchestra tuner was able to pick up the low and high strings.
This is genius! How did you start in making instruments?
I like to make things. Then I was daring myself to go further. I also started making classical violin (carving the scroll and shaping the body) but got there half way before got bored.
@@fpham8004 very neat, I’m really like the modular guitar design! Thanks for sharing your work!
@@ShamazMusic Thanks, I wish I was better at playing guitar than making them - but we can't have everything.
My old Catholic nun piano teacher had a stick like that. For applied keyboard theory across my knuckles. Ouch!
People will do anything except learn the piano...
added to my list of things to do!.......thank you.
you don`t need a stick just a n empty paper and a pencil.
Or you can just learn them….lol Simply Piano is amazing learning app
Very nice! You can make something similar with paper using Word. Martin Finn sells several different helpful forms: th-cam.com/video/fJK0IOx5tVw/w-d-xo.html
I got a stick like that but i use it for Major one side and using the same mark reverse it for minors (like a ruler with inches and millimeters on the same side).
Hahaha, that's so clever, It does work. See I didn't think of that!
We need them Wiggles! Nice piece. I just got the Xt, what an interesting little box
Brilliant, just brilliant
👍
My mother had a laminated card set that did something similar to this ! My sister and I, have been looking for years to find them. Someone should sell them if they don't still exist.
Interesting… I had the idea to make something like that the other day and thought “surely it’s already been done”. Today this video appeared on my feed and your comment confirms it 😅
@@KevinTPLim If you make the card set I will buy a half dozen of them. I am serious. Then would be a great gift for all my keyboard friends.
@@ProfCuneusStern hmm ok so I’ve done a simple prototype as a bookmark design (to fit better on the limited space above the keys) but looking at the economics of manufacturing and shipping at small scale I’m not sure I can break even! Where are you based?
@@KevinTPLim I think the card could be from this patent (it's already expired) patents.google.com/patent/US3350973A/en?oq=US3350973
@@fpham8004 good intel, thanks! My design is a lot simpler but I think it’s easier to use that way. trying to see how cheaply I can print it but any comments on how much you’d pay for a card set (and what chords you’d like included) would be useful… I’ve started with m6 and maj7, just 4 finger chords. Not sure if inversions are worth doing
I was looking for an app figuring that’s simple. Thanks
Time to make myself a 5 sided stick
Off to see where I can we find a piece of pentagonal rod?
You can find these star like rulers.
That's even better! I was going to use chipboard (cardboard) and ink. Time for some woodworking.
Okay, off to the workshop...
Awesome
Is it possible that you convert those samples for the Teenage engineering ep ko133?
This device can't play chords can it?

Cool, thx for the effort, price is fair! I too would like to know where you got the samples from🙂
I had one from 1983-1993! The keyboard of my youth.
What software do you use in making design
Fusion 360
Freakin amazing 🤩
There is one for sale close to where I live and I'm looking for videos to hear how it sounds and I haven't found many. Why's that? Didn't anybody buy this synth? is it that bad? Are they too lazy to make a video about it? From what little I have heard, it sounds pretty unique. Anyway, I'm between either this or an Ultranova..
I agree about the drum tracks. I'm using my SmplTrek in performance mode as a soundboard for my live streams. I wish I could make some of the samples longer. Anyway great work with the video and expansion pack.
Hi, what do you think of the Circuit rythm?
