    This was a delight to watch. Love the frog/cricket. And, of course, I squee'd at another Archie sighting! I'm inspired. I'm going to do this next week and see what I come up with.
    My suggestions for names and abilities:
    Frog/cricket - Mistress Ribitious. Those are not spores, those are eggs, and out of them come swarms of her babbies! The cricket head, though, that's a biter, and a poisonous bite it is. She bites you when you're distracted by her babies, and then you die (but also turn into a ribitious minion).
    Leopard/Ant - Wiley Riley - Sharp claws, dangerous pincers, and able to carry 10X their own weight. A good transport beast or mount for anyone able to win its trust.

    This is such a great idea! Frankensteining is the best and the "froghopper" especially looks incredible--maybe its name could be... Sprogleap the Spawner? I don't know :D
    We used to do something along the same lines in creative writing where we'd roll dice to decide characters, locations, inciting incident, etc, and then we'd have to write short-stories based on the results--it was a lot of fun!
    PS: I think maybe the reptilians started the rumour you eat milliput :o

    • @wittlegoblin
      @wittlegoblin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those darn reptilians!!! Haha that game sounds so fun, the "confines" of a prompt can be such a great way to shakeup your creative process!

  • @TheNerdySimulation
    @TheNerdySimulation ปีที่แล้ว +1

    See, you were implying either spores or eggs but why not both? Maybe it has a symbiotic relationship with a particular plant/fungus native to the swamplands it calls home and collects the spores on its back whilst devouring a portion of the plant, then when the eggs hatch it releases said spores into the environment!
    As for the other lovely entity it strikes me as a pack creature which, given the fact that both leopards and ants exist across a wide variety of climates, can be found in dugouts or tress all across the world. Perhaps in an especially fantastic setting they gather in/around a large tree, using bursts of speed and powerful insect "tendrils" to take out prey spotted wandering into their territory.
    The best I could come up with for names were "Sporebacked Croadet" and "Blitz Beast" respectively. :D

    • @wittlegoblin
      @wittlegoblin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why NOT both?! Love this.

    Oh helllllll yeah!!! Love this stuff so much! Genuinely some of my favorite content rn and super relatable to me haha. Love mixing and matching toys, ideas and models so much. Creative flow is so dope. Thank you for the vid and for your time!
    Don't have a name yet for the others, but for the Frog-a-rino hopper friend, an immediate name that came to mind was a Meguchalud (I was thinking pronounced muh-goo-chah-luhd.) Or Magllechullad? I dont know why, but I like how it rolls off of the tongue and feels kind of grimy and venemous. Or just weird, ymmv 😅
    And maybe the boils are both just boils and eggs? Might depends on the season, mates, and if they are around a specific kind of moss or algae that season.
    As in the boils populate? Eggs in storage for when they get fertilized. And in the meantime they can be stinky puss poppers for predators that can grow back.
    Doubles for when the kids are born so the smell and puss keeps predators away I'd think. Could also be a thing wherein one has to eat another cannibalistically to get yhe other's genes in that season, then they sprout in the eggs. But I dunno. I like both that and the moss fine.
    Thank you for attending my verval vomit Ted Talk on Meguchalud nomenclature, breeding and birthing habits.
    I am very sorry.

    Grasshopper + Frog = Grog
    Stows aboard pirate ships and makes a nest inside kegs of ale. If left undisturbed (possibly when the ship sinks and the keg ends up at the bottom of the sea), the Grog outgrows the keg, bursts out and swims ashore. The spores on its back pop and squirt jets of yeast into the eyes of its victims. Once blinded the prey is then unable to prevent the Grog devouring them in order to satiate its appetite for meat.

    I have some ideas
    for the frog/grasshopper: Groatus a creature that preys on small sized animals and has a paralyzing stinger at the end of an extendable tongue. The main feature is that this will most of the time eat whatever it catches alive, but will occasional swallow prey whole and will reguritate it sometime later as an egg. It then sticks the egg on its back where the creature over a period of time transforms into a new Groatus. They are an invasive species that is hard to exterminate and will sometimes be responsible for missing children.
    for the leapord/ant: in the common tongue they are Wracklings, though the Dwarves know them as Dehurzreeth or Tunnel Sprinters. Prone to the mass movements and Hiving tendencies of ants and possessing the speed and ferocity of leopards. These tunneling monsters are nightmares for any Dwarven hold. These creatures possess both potent venom and raking claws, on the ends of all their legs. Though their insectile legs also posses graspers, wich lets them hold onto prey. Notable is their tail wich is made of razored segments that when lashed against a foe acts almost as a swaw, each segment shaving a bit more away. This has been known to breach metal armor and slice through bone.

    • @wittlegoblin
      @wittlegoblin  ปีที่แล้ว

      A stinger tongue? Daaaang. I love this. SO freaky. Thank you for sharing your creativity with me, now my imagination is all fired up again!
