Thank you for making the effort to teach us about purushasooktam. Regarding Sri Rama eating meat.. Kambaramayanam has a part whete Guhan offers Rama fish and honey, Rama says "I accept", but does not eat. Ma Seetha was there with Him at that time. Hence it is assumed that during his vanavasa, Sri Rama did not eat meat ! I confess..I only know bits and pieces of Kambaramayanam, have not read all of it 🙏🏻

Actual story regarding Sriharsha was the reverse( what I heard). Sriharsha was a poet under the rule of Jayachand ( Jayachandra) of Kannauj kingdom ( Gahadavala dynasty) which includes Varanasi also.When he wrote Naishadam, as per Jayachandra's request , introduced his work in Bharati( Saraswati) Peet of Kashmir but wanted to introduce in the royal court of the king also. But he was not allowed to meet the king of Kashmir. Then this story happened ( fighting between ladies who used Kashmiri language). Additional information : His king Jayachandra was the same traitor king ( as per our school books ) who did not support Prithviraj ,even though he was own son in law, during the attacks by Mohammed of Gori's general Gudhbuddin Ibak ( who started Slave dynasty). There is no historical evidence of Jayachandra having daughter named Samyukta who eloped with Prithviraj during her swayamvaram.
