Last year's model have been on sale for about 2 months now. Got the pro 7i with 4080 for 2.2k incl tax (about 1k or more off msrp). I'm more disappointed that they didn't have the 4080 option for the slim this year

I did end up going with the 2023 pro7i and it doesn’t even get phased when pushing for hours all day on my 3D rendering software. Haven’t tested on games but I’m sure it’s great. For a professional clean look i9, 4090, at $2,500 after taxes…I’m completely satisfied saving the money…would not have gotten it at the first listing price however.

doesnt look like it, lenovo dropped the ball dude. They used to innovate a few years back. Now they're still using the same displays theyve been using the past few years while the 2024 asus g14 and g16 lineup have 400 nit oled displays along with 6 speaker upward facing speakers.

Ben I am so confused. What is this. I just bought the Legion Pro 7i after you recommended it. I love it but I can still return it until the end of Jan. It studders badly when I edit my 4K 60P gopro footage. But these 2 laptops above have the same name as mine. Mine is the 2023 the 4080/ I googled these and went to the leveno website and these are nowhere to be found. But you said nothing about if it's a pre release to you. Please elaborate. My only real disappointment is the screen. It it not cutting it for my color grading. Bummer. I may want to return an upgrade to the 7i in this video but the name is the same??? How does on tell. ?

All this talk and still nobody has explained to me why the computers don’t have different names. I own the Levanno 7I pro of 2023. Yet that’s what the new 2024 model is called I thought the 9i was the new Levato Leveno. Everyone seems to be smarty-pants, but nobody wants to answer the question or explain including Ben. Somehow you know about it and somehow Ben knows about it, but not a word at the Lenovo website about it. The Lenovo website stinks, it’s confusing and if you call there nobody knows what they’re talking about either. All that being said great laptops.
I'm glad they are being consistent with their design. I own only Fractal Define cases and ThinkPads because regardless of the generation, you instantly know what they are.

Hi Ben, can the ram on Lenovo Legion 7i be upgraded to either 32x2=64GB or 48x2=96GB? On the spec sheet it's only metioned upgradable upto 32gb.
