I've been working out regularly since last January. I've lost about 60 pounds working out 3 days a week doing a full body workout each day. I will be 63 in January. I've been watching your youtube channel and have a couple of your programs. Thanks for your work! As Justin said, This is what I do now.

Stress is such a huge factor. When I am mentally and emotionally stressed I feel like crap, sleep all the time and am still tired and don’t feel like doing anything.

I really like these episodes that touch on mindset, habits, inspiration, discipline etc.! The mental side of things is the most interesting to me. Being overweight my whole life and then working with those who suffer from addiction has shown me that figuring out the mental and psychological side of this issue is what brings longevity.

Today for possibly the first time, I ran a full mile without stopping. I didn’t have to stop because I paced myself. I usually stop twice. I should probably work on that, maintaining a consistent pace. I was super pumped and can’t wait for next run. I hit 27 miles for the year with the goal of 50. I still believe I will hit 50 next year.

Just take whatever it is you want to accomplish, work towards it everyday, until it feels weird not to do it. Chances are you have enough willpower to form a routine. Worked for me in self-studying, learning guitar, and in the gym. I'm now able to hold myself accountable for reaching my goals. Consistency is key!

Thank you for this episode. When i woke up today, the scale was up 0.4 lbs. And it bummed me out even though i know intellectually that was reasonable because of my heavy lifts and inflammation. i still let it affect my mood. Listening to this helped remind me of what i already know. Stay the course. I've had amazing progress this week that brought me lots of excitement. Some day's you just have to be excited by the willingness to stay the course like a mature adult doing their best. That is worth being proud of.

I needed this episode! I get bouts of motivation, like starting a new program, new gym...but it definately falls away. It totally doesnt matter what the program is or which gym i go to. Im changing this silly mindset i had relied on in the past. Results only come from consistency and discipline, and consistency again, so in 2024 im gonna just chip away and work consistently in the background, my goal is to be disciplined and consistent in whatever i do.

Turning 45 in May. In the months leading up to turning 40 in 2019 I went all out to get my weight to where it was when I turned 30. I lost 40 pounds in 3 months. Then slowly I gained it all back. I had a talk with myself today about losing all the weight by my birthday again. I can’t believe this video came out today basically warning me against this “motivation” behavior. Thanks for this, it’s exactly what I needed to hear when I needed to hear it.

For the first caller - girl living in Spain. She mentioned working with a bodybuilding coach - I wouldn’t had a ton of questions regarding this. David Goggins has so many people messed up, they think just because something is hard to do means it's good. You need a purpose behind what you are doing, sure doing 1000 pushups a day is hard, but why. I always tell these people that walking across the country on your hands is hard, why aren't you doing that?
