    Great review, thank you!
    I just bought a set (the 37 + 48L side cases, no top box), they're on the way and I should use them in the spring.

      Thanks Leonard. From what I understand Givi have made some slight improvements to the cases since I made this review. I’m confident you will be happy with your cases. Stay safe mate and keep riding.👍🏼

    I liked the video literally 3 SECONDS IN when you said "I'm not going to waste time talking about dimensions, you can check these in Givi's website"...so many YT videos spend like 8 minutes going over useless info we can read in 30s in a table. Additionally, your review is very good indeed, no-nonsense and honest.

      Thank you for taking the time to comment it’s always appreciated. I agree with the points you made. We decided some time ago to only review kit that we had put through it’s paces, usually after a minimum of 6 to 12 months. I think it’s far more useful to the biking community than another unboxing video! Stay safe mate and keep riding.👍🏼

      @@GreenString Absolutely on the usefulness of these reviews! So much so that yesterday in the evening your review helped me make up my mind…Trekker Outback topcase is on its way from Belgium and should arrive shortly! Hey I even got the SL103 single-key kit, since I’m planning on getting the Trekker Outback panniers later this year. Cheers mate, and keep up with the great content.

      The Givi trekker luggage is a solid, reliable choice. Mine is still going strong 💪

    I thought they will leak water like the BMW's if they get a little dent from falling over, but guess not? 👏🏻Great Review Mr.Green 👍🏻 you should do more of this! i dont think i will ever go back to hard cases again after getting used to soft bags. But that is just a personal preference. Cheers mate 🔥

      Thanks Thomas. I agree and have now moved onto Kriega bags. Weight, safety etc,etc. I doubt I will return to hard luggage but they do serve a purpose. Take care mate and keep warm up there in the North...Winters coming!😁

      @@GreenString Ooohh yes, they do serve a great purpose, i just like the soft luggage way better. Haha, winter is coming and i hope it will take just a little bit more time before the worst cold set in. what ever happend to Al Gore and the global warming 🤣

    Thank you very much for the review.
    How to fit this luggage system on the BMW 1250 GS, given that i dont have any current installed racks on the bike ?

    • @GreenString
      @GreenString  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Rashad, you need to get the Pannier Rack from Givi. I think for the GS 1250 it is the GIVI PL5108CAM. Please check, as they are model specific. These are simple to fit and I am sure you will find a video on TH-cam. The boxes simply click into place onto the pannier. rack. If you have any other questions let me know mate👍

    Hi, it’s possible to use left luggage into the right side , It will open backwards but it’s possible ? Thank you

    • @GreenString
      @GreenString  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, yes the left can be fitted on the right and visa versa. However, you would then have to open it from the front of the bike and the lid would flip towards the back of your bike (if you know what I mean). If that doesn’t bother you then it’s no problem.

    What do you think about putting two 48liter on a GS1200? Too much big?

    • @GreenString
      @GreenString  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My mate runs a 48/37 ltr combo on his Africa Twin and that looks wide, so me personally would not run with 2 x 48.

    Why not take the key cylinders out of each of the boxes and take them to a locksmith and have them keyed to match your motorcycle.

    • @GreenString
      @GreenString  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well I have to be honest I never thought of that. Now that you mention it, I do recall a thread on the UK GS forum where somebody did exactly that. So you are correct, it can be done and that would be the best solution to the problem.👍
