Thanks very much for that info. They do feel like they're capable of going through a lot, but when someone actually confirms it's a different story so thanks 👍👋
Zdravo.
My doubt is buy 58lt or 42lt... In daily use i only gonna use the center top case, but is it 58lt too big for that? Does it change stability in bike at 130km in highway? Will it let me filter the traffic?
it would have been interesting to here something about the support plates, at the least for the top case... I don't have very clear which of the multiple options available is the best for weight handling and compability over different bikes
Hallo from Styria in Austria! I want to buy the same suitcases. I would be interested to know if your side cases have 48 liters or less. I heard that there should be problems with the side case lid if you have mounted the large top case with 58 liters. Then the lids of the side cases no longer open completely. Maybe you can tell me more about it. Greetings, Herbert.
Great review my friend!! Thank you. I have found one used set of givi trekker outbacks from a tiger 800xc 2011 but i have a GSA 2018 model and i wonder if i could adjust the rear adjusting frame on the bmw.
Hello ,i have vstrom From 2018 and i looking for Mount rack to Givi outback trakker panniers ,witch rack sjould i Buy ? Coz they are 2versions avalible PL3112 (without that silver horizontal mout ) and another one like on this movie ,anyone can help ? Thanks
Question... How do they handle low speed impact ? Do they distort and go out of alignment ? Here in Australia we (well I, to be more specific :-) ) tend to drop my GSes a lot, in a mud, gravel and bull dust while riding around desert or outback. It is usually low speed drop but still some damage is done.I am on my second set of Varios after total of around 30,000km off-road. They worked well but after quite a few drops/impacts they tend to end up wobbl, so thinking of going with Aluminium now (Givi or Touratech), or perhapd even just sticking GSA frames and use soft luggage.
Nice review! But do they really water proof? I heard somewhere they said that for light rain is ok but when heavy rain there will get a little bit wet inside, is it true?
I'm curious to why you day the price is a +... These are one of the most expensive panniers on thr market... Around $300 US dollars just for the mounting brackets, and nearly $400-600 PER pannier. Not all panniers together, but per individual pannier... If you got them cheaper than that, I'd love to know where, cause I'd buy em in a heart beat. But no way am I paying over $1000 for a thin box of aluminum...
If you're in the US, you're paying more due to import duty and shipping. Givi kit is made in Italy so travels a fair way to you guys. Probably better off with something made in the USA...
Great review. I have finally bought the 3 pannier set from Givi and I am delighted with them!
Nice review, thanks for the detailed view of the latches opening. Definitely industrial strength.
I done 100.000 Km with these luggages and they are same when I bought them 4 years ago

Same, my they have gone through 3 bikes with me. My Tracer 900 (when it was still called MT09 Tracer), 1190 Adventure, and now 1290 SuperAdventure
Odlična recenzija.
Upravo sam ih kupio za svoj novi bike
.Pozdrav iz Kostrene
Hvala na komentaru 👍 pozdrav 👋

Very good review! Thought this was very helpful. Ride safe take care!

Clear description mate! How many litres are your lateral cases?
37 litres

Maybe for you the best option is the full aluminium set from sw motech. Expensive, yes.. but sturdy material overall. ✌🏻
Pozz.. Je moguce da si prije kojih 10 dana bio u zadru na wi gs for life sa tim v stromom? Je bio parkirani tam kod,, pozdrava suncu,,??
Have you took pillion with you while the paniers were on? It seems the top of the boxes are very close to the seat level. Nice summary though.
What is part number of mounting rack for side cases? Pl3112 or pl3112cam
My favourite and my 1st choice panniers.... but I worry for Vstrom 1050xt.... the right side is elongated 3 inches?
With that panniers size does it affect highway riding while cruising 70 to 80 mph ? I want to buy same panniers for my s1000xr for touring
Would you rather have 48L panniers or 37 is just right? I have V Strom 650 as well.
Well done. Thank you.
Cheers mate 👍
May you plz tell me how can you take off the top box if you would like to use only the side bags
If you have the top box, there is a lever right underneath the keyhole. If you don't then just get the other mounting system
Nice review! But do they really water proof? I heard somewhere they said that for light rain is ok but when heavy rain there will get a little bit wet inside, is it true?
I've used mine for 5 years now. In torrential rain too. Totally waterproof.
These cases are not.. repeat not water proof. They are water resistant to keep your contents dry you need to buy the inner bags too...
Thank you.
You're welcome 👍
The mounts are 400 tho😢

Unfortunately, that's the gig my friend with any sport! Totally OTT pricing.
The side cases you have mounted are 37 or 48? Thank you
37 l on both sides
what the capacity of side bags?
They come in either 37 or 48 litres capacity
I think you mean 1,5cm, not mm
Thikness 1,5cm.... you kidding right ?
1.5mm for sure
Just get standard givi, if someone wants it bad they will take the whole bike
aerodynamics with adventure panniers......???
