Black Ops 1 is the perfect Call of Duty game. Campaign is incredible, Multiplayer is iconic and feels so great, and zombies is atmospheric and fun. Its really got it all.
To this day, I have always preferred the visual style of BO1 Zombies as apposed to the over saturated and plastic-looking Chronicles remasters. (Don't get me wrong, the BO3 versions of the maps are asthetically pleasing but for me personally miss the mark when it comes to that unsettling and liminal feeling that the original versions give off).
Black ops 1 is my favorite. The atmosphere is creepy and mysterious, fun and memorable weapons, interesting wonder weapons, and the challenge of survival was still at the forefront. When people say old zombies is outdated, I think what they really feel is that they are over the core gameplay of survival, and later games really contributed that.
And I can’t believe it. I was so confident that it won’t happen within making this video that I didn’t even bother to check whether it was actually achieved or not. As a result, I’m getting multiple comments correcting the mistake and each time it hurts my soul
something people tend to forget: in black ops 1 both kino, five (an dead ops arcade) are on disc! which mean you don't have to pay more money and if the servers are shutdown you can still play those maps. bo2 has the HUGE weakness to have as only on disc maps the tranzit stuff. I remember paying 60€ the game at release and instantly launching it at home and the first thing I did is to check the zombie mode cuz I was curious to what they did with the mode and it was fun playing tranzit and town with friends for one week.. then.... yeah. later the first dlc map released, it was die riese. my friend bought it and.... yeah unsurprisingly he didn't like it and recommended to the whole group to come back to bo1 and forget about bo2. when the first actual good map released with motd, we stop playing bo2 all together so we didn't cared and even if we did that one friend wouldn't want to risk to waste money again buying a dlc so we would have to play without him. that's the main reason to why bo2 zombie is the worst one of the treyarch classics, that and the fact waw zombie is underrated as hell. and that's why bo1 and bo3 are the best zombie even tho i'm not the biggest fan of bo3 edit: you can totally train in Five when playing in group of 4, in fact all the three floors are trainable
Bo1 was my first zombies game. I never had a xbox 360 or a ps3, so when my friend got the game and a copy of bo1, you know i was over there everyday i could. Booting up the zombies menu and hearing the piano of damned sends chills everytime i play it. Awesome video man, the wait, as always, was worth it
Not gonna lie I’ve been seeing the updates for this video and I’ve been patiently waiting and I can say with certainty this is one worth watching, great vid man 🙏 definitely worth the wait 👍

I hereby announce this video essay and our joyous contribution towards it as an artifact of significant historical value. May our AUGs be non-anachronistic and our pneumonias not in the several!
Great video, man! Just finished it and it was expertly put together and I think content like this really what the Zombies Community needs. Innovative essay style videos like this I think have opportunity to reinvigorate the creativity and love for the game a lot of folks have. Black Ops 1 is goated and is probably my number 2 or 3 in terms of Zombies games. I'm a die hard moon fan, but I think I'm goin with the majority and saying that Call of the Dead is my favorite map from the game. I hope this video takes off and I'm looking forward to seeing what content you have in store for the future!
So l glad this video finally dropped, I’ve been super excited for it! Edit: Yeah I agree that ascension is the worst aged map in the game by far, having to play so much ascension is what completely burned me out on making videos on zombies for a few months, so props to you for powering through it!
I’m glad you’re enjoying the video. As for a chronicles retro, that would be a difficult one to make. Since all I’m doing is looking over the changes that the remaster makes and not the maps themselves, there’s not much to talk about. If I were to make a large bo3 retro, then chronicles is definitely something I can include to it. But reviewing on it’s own would be extremely hard to pull off
Why is it perfect? 1. Start with a single gun - gives you the anxiety and adrenaline that you need because you are playing zombies ofcourse. 2. The spacing is calculated to perfection so u need to approach every step and round with a strategy . 3. Simplicity of movement and guns. The problem in newer cods for me is that i feel like im never going to die and with the overpowered loadouts and everything i see the zombies as a joke.
i always thought kino was just really easy playing it back then, so i always preferred playing Five, i feel like five is just so fun. definitely underrated
Black ops 1 zombies could be my favorite zombies experience honestly, it just feels good I love how it has real guns and not all of them are good. If they fixed the leaderboards I would play it a ton moren
A thing worth noting in regards to the low gravity issues on Moon: the physics of BO1 are affected by your fps. Very high fps makes the odds higher of you to randomly fly up in the air when sprinting. Sometimes I've flown up so high that I can reach the ceiling in the pyramid room. There's a reason why the game is capped at 92 fps as default on PC.
I’ve had that happen a ton. But the reason I didn’t mention it is because I didn’t want to bring up an issue that is only affects people that play at a high refresh rate.
@@zestymoon Understandable. But then again, a lot more PC players nowadays play with fps and refresh rates that are much higher than 60. So for anyone that gets really bothered by the Moon physics glitches, this could be good know. Fun fact: BO2 has similar issues in some aspects, as that game's physics are also affected by fps and refresh rate. Best example is the Paralyzer in Buried. The higher the fps, the lower you can fly up. Really high fps makes you incapable of flying up at all.
I listened to this at work and I loved your retrospective! I've been playing this game since a few weeks before DLC1 came out, and I continue to play it to this day (I totally recommend the Renaissance mod for a really fun and refreshing experience too!) A few nerdy things to note: Commonly, most know the Wunderwaffe as the "Jugg Zapper", but what it's actually doing is zapping your health regen away. Without Jugg, zapping yourself brings you from 100 HP down to 1. With Jugg, it takes you from 250 HP down to 113, effectively making you a 2 hit. Surprisingly, a lot dont know about this, but the WAW remasters are also launch maps! They were released alongside the Prestige Edition of the game. So they rereleased the maps in DLC4 because, let's be honest, you paid a bunch extra for a game version that not many else had. You weren't going to find anyone to play with online. Lastly, you probably know by now, but Round 100 was just achieved in COTD solo very recently. Many runners were playing correctly to reach Round 100, but a fatal flaw with the game engine was holding them back. If I'm not mistaken, the game will count ticks in each map. If this count reaches the 32-bit integer limit (around 21 billion), the map will force restart. I think the restart happens around 80 hours? This is why many runners have to basically speedrun for world record. This issue persisted from WAW as well. COTD just had Round 100 broken because of a new barrier glitch found that leaves zombies in an idle state, which will automatically die when left like that for too long.
As a zombies veteran from its conception and has been obsessed ever since…. This video is absolutely amazing! My guy was literally talking about when we all first learnt how to train among so many other valid points he made, kino, five, ascension… I’m only 45 mins in, but real recognise real, this dude is literally an OG version of Mr roffle waffles before the money corrupted him lol…… zombies is a round based wave game mode…. Easter eggs are cool to do once…. But the longevity of zombies imo has always been high rounding, zombies TH-camrs imo contributed to the downfall of my beloved game mode, Dalek JD mr perkaholic for example lol…… big up Noah J though for keep pushing the customs….. finally this year o got a PC and now I literally have 60+ maps downloaded 😂
I'm only 44 mins into this video but I love it already. Amazing production work and I love the little art in between the sections. 43:48 "This Place" would be known as "Lander D" as the Russian letter "Д" on the terminal translates into English as the letter "D". The "Junkyard" can also be referred to as "Lander F" (Ф = F) and the Speed Cola lander can be referred to as "Lander B" (Б = B) Edit: Finishing the Ascension section. Yes I do agree the monkeys can be very annoying and a bit off putting to want to play the map. However you can prevent them from taking Jugg if you leave both doors closed and get it through defending the perk machine and the bottle, at the cost/challenge of not being able to buy Jugg and having to gamble for it. And taking the time to look into the detail of the map it has that eerie and cold, yet beautiful atmosphere, even before turning the power on. I personally think it's aged fine if you're looking for a fun time, yet want more of a challenge than Kino, which tbh while I like Kino, it's always been overrated to me and has felt like a "Der Reise 2.0" not that it's a bad thing and it's good if I want to shut my brain off and shoot. Five/Ascension and beyond keep me on my toes and keep me challenged. Again overall I love the video, and I was 8 when BO1 came out, so I remember when these DLC's came out and used whatever Microsoft Points (Yes... those) I had saved from Christmas' and birthdays to buy them. BO1 is a huge nostalgia trip for me every time and I will always come back to it. This and BO2 serve as major core memories for me.
I've loved zombie since a kid. But as you grow up you realise that training is just a waste of your time. Now I only enjoy zombie maps that don't allow you to train like shangri-la
Apparently that was a week before this video was posted. It’s unfortunate that I didn’t hear about since I finished the call of the dead section over a month ago, and I didn’t expect a round 100 before finishing the video
imo cod zombies went downhill with the mindset that mob of the dead introduced, focusing on Easter eggs\story when the real appeal of zombies is the rogue like elements that it never leaned into as much as it should. the box having the best weapons, but also risking giving you shitty guns is the best example of this. your point about bo1 weapons was a good point, having to overcome difficult maps while having a bunch of playstyles due to box luck, direction you go in on a map, perk choice makes it interesting.
Nah you're wrong. MOTD saved zombies. Tranzit and Die Rise were killing BO2 whereas MOTD and Origins saved the game and the entire zombies game mode. Focusing on easter eggs and story was for the better. Round based survival was getting tiresome at that point. Surviving just to survive with no story to get invested in and no goal to achieve was fucking boring and pointless. Times change and zombies had to change with the times and evolve to be better and stay relevant.
@@DanielWilson-lm4zh I know that mob and origins helped zombies popularity and origins was a real good map. what I'm saying is that it gave people the idea that the story Easter egg was the main appeal of zombies which it never was for most, and being forced to do most of the EE steps to play the map properly got repetitive. bo1 struck a good balance tho i prefer bo2 weapons a lot more i think they are more interesting
@@fiinenight Easter eggs have always been optional. I would say easter eggs became the appeal cause it was something else to do other than the standard round based gameplay that we've been doing since day 1. It was something new, something fun, and it was a mystery for the player to uncover. It brought the community more together than any round based gameplay.
@@DanielWilson-lm4zh in mob and origins you have to do most of it to get the wonder weapons n shit. mob is particularly bad about it, still think its better than buried that map is mind-numbingly boring. now i stopped playing cod after bo2 so i have no idea about b03 onward.
@@DanielWilson-lm4zh Why do things have to change? Why couldn't the zombies mode die out peacefully instead of it becoming a carcass of its original self?
1:15:30 the statement that a solo player has not gotten passed round 100 is no longer true wunderful released a great video covering the feat and is hella weird how he does it
Classic Treyarch zombies will never get outdated. The mode is simple enough that anybody can get into it, with the possibility of added complexity if you go for high rounds or EEs. The lore's also there if you're interested but you can play thr mode perfectly fine without it.

Its fascinating to me how little you had to say about bo3 compared to 1 and 2. Bo3 has so much more content packed in to each map I feel like there would be more to chew on. Anyway ive spent 5 hours now watching all of them great videos brotha bravo
@@Jon96101 I had a much more different frame of mind and goal when I made that video. The documentary was more about the updates than the content. I also had a habit of trying to not say too much so that the video doesn’t become too long and nobody watches it. It was the bo2 video that I stopped caring about how long the video is, and instead wanted to explain my point of view about each map in depth. If I was making that video today, it would’ve been at least 2 and a half hours. Right now I’m remaking my bo4 videos because I think those videos didn’t get across what I wanted to say at all, and that video is looking to be 4 hours lmao. So yeah different frame of mind entirely
I’ll never forget that I saw a video of an airport behind the first WAW map, it was modded and I didn’t know what mods were, but I would keep playing trying to unlock enough doors/points to open the door to the airport. I sucked and played solo so it never happened haha
Well if you’re training in the stage and all the zombies are there, you can easily run there, get the perk, and dip to the lobby. That amount of time you have to do that is an eternity. Even if you’re not in the stage, if you sprint from any room in the map to jug, there’s no way any zombie would be around to block you path. Granted all of that is in solo, but in co op, you can have your teammates defend you.
Imma give my personal opinions on the maps: Kino Der Toten: Personal favorite map of all time and I really love it. "Five": A cool "Yang" to Kino's "Yin" and they work well together. Ascension: Would be my favorite but the Monkeys drags it down. Call Of The Dead: Kinda mixed but I loved George Romero. Shangri La: Underrated and yet still my least favorite map of it. Moon: An Great ending map, but it got better in BO3 Nacht Der Untoten: Atmosphere is downgraded but has Mule Kick and Thunder Gun Verruckt: Shittiest version of the map. Why does it get the Winter's Howl Shi No Numa: Just Eh. Der Riese: Got upgraded but I just didn't play it as much. Black Ops 1 as a whole is my favorite Zombies game of all time.
Shangri la PAP has bought back some memories of playing this map when it was brand new…with random people Jesus fucking Christ I hated playing this map with other people especially if they flat out refused to communicate or didn’t have a mic I preferred playing this alone it was the only BO1 map I was legitimately good at
As a big fan of moon regarding the excavators i always thought the reason they were in spawn was so that you would teleport to area 51 with the hacker then your right next to the controls i dont think ive ever stopped an excavator without teleporting to area 51
Absolutely brilliant video. I’m glad I found your channel. The only thing I disagree with is your opinions on the original four maps, especially shi no numa and der riise. Especially der riise… that map is utterly goated. I was thinking you’d speak more highly about it especially with how highly you spoke about Kino, which I think is an inferior map. Nacht and Verruckt I can see your points but I definitely think they are great maps which really capture that original zombies style gameplay which we miss today and haven’t had since bo3 zombies. Other than that, the video is FANTASTIC. Thank you brother 🐐
I want to add something to mulekick. Something important. Having three weapons takes longer to cycle through. This can and will end your game sometimes. It is the sole reason why I never use this. Even in newer CODs. When I need my Wonder weapon to get out of a sticky situation I need it NOW.
That’s not really true. If you know your weapon cycle, you can click triangle/Y multiple times to cycle to the weapon you want, or if you using a mouse, you can rotate back and forth using the scroll to the weapon you need. It’s just a matter of muscle memory
It’s not much need tbh but on some maps it’s helpful . Like you can carry wuffle Thompson for points and ray gun for dogs . However I just use Thompson and knife for dogs and waffle
I like the nova crawlers. Even with the nova crawler kino is so easy to get high rounds so having those as a extra little level of difficulty is nice. I wouldn’t have played as many hours of kino as I did if there weren’t nova crawlers
I do have a lot of problems with bo1 zombies, and It has shown it's age in a lot of ways. That being said it's still black ops zombies it's a classic forever
zesty moob. ever since i died with mw3 zombies (began decaying at vanguard) and my revival with bo6 announcement. ive been waiting for the newest video once ive awaken. after watching the first seconds ive shat myself because i got scared. no horror videos on youtube could ever do this. and this video has made my views on five go higher and higher than ive ever had it. (which was very high, i really loved the cast of five except for mcnamara because im biased)
I truly do think Blundell was the end of zombies, his complete arrogance and belief that he knew what everyone wanted is still astounding to me. He made TWO good (frankly tedious and repetitive) maps and immediately took over an entire game and then managed to drive the entire thing into the ground. The fact he had the gall to create an entire new story in the middle of the one people have been following for years is one of the funniest things ever. It’s sad that people still praise him Edit: also naming Daphne instead of Buffy for SMG is insane 😂
The reason I said daphne instead of buffy and tortuga instead of machete is that I knew it would be funny to bring random ass characters instead of their most notable roles.
Jason Blundell changed the mode for the better. He did what people wanted. He saved the zombies game mode while Tranzit and Die Rise were killing it. Crazy how the most popular and beloved maps are the ones that he made. Nobody gives a fuck about the maps that Jimmy Z made. People still praise BO3 maps cause they are just that good. When MOTD came out, people loved it and wanted more of it and he gave them more of it. Seems like you're still stuck in 2011 bud.
@@DanielWilson-lm4zh people don’t care about Jimmy maps?? Give me a damn break. Kino, Der riese, moon, Shang, COTD, Buried, Five, etc. are all fondly remembered and talked about to this day. MOTD is the only zombies map Blundell did that isn’t riding off what came before, outside of the staffs in origins that map relies on characters created by Jimmy Z. Blundell is a hack and that’s proven by him destroying the entire community and game in bo4, his arrogance destroyed him
@@Johaufs Most of those maps are either mid AF or terrible. People still praise BO3 maps, not BO1. Every map in BO1 has some annoying ass gimmick and serious flaws that ruins the entire map. Nova crawlers are annoying, but other than that, Kino is a solid classic map. Five is way too linear and pentagon thief is annoying. Ascension monkeys are annoying AF and the map is way too open and easy. George Romero is annoying AF and the scavenger and vr-11 suck ass, other than that, COTD is a solid map. Shingri la is a little too cramped and the monkeys stealing your power ups is annoying AF. Unlocking pap in coop is always a gamble on whether it actually happens or not. Moon is such a garbage map. Low gravity is just a gimmick, nothing more. It doesn't benefit the gameplay at all and is actually a detriment. Astronaut boss is one of the worst boss zombies ever and most people agree. Dealing with the excavators is annoying AF as well. Moon is way too much RNG to be enjoyable. MOTD and Origins saved BO2 whereas Jimmy Z was destroying it with Tranzit and Die Rise. Origins didn't use the same characters. Primis and Ultimis are nothing alike. Good try tho.
@@smugplush I copy and paste because my comment gives perfect examples on why BO1 zombies is flawed and it saves me time. I don't need to write another example and waste my time when my original comment is already good. You have yet to counteract any of my points. For someone praising BO1 and shit talking BO3, you have yet to give any counter arguments. Maybe cause you have nothing valuable to say?
I dont see how Acension is a poorly aged map, if you put out a poll today youd see it being at the top instead of the bottom for a reason. The monkey rounds cannot be the reason it aged poorly, considering everything else is fantasticeven for solo players. Unlike five, five has to be the most poorly aged map on bo1. The lack of space, the lack of good weapons to get you set up, the pentagon theif, nova crawlers in the tightest spaces etc. Not to mentionen the lack of good wonder weapons. P.s sarah michelle gellar would be more known for her roll as Buffy the vampire slayer lol
I think you missed what I said in the end of that section. The reason I said ascension aged poorly isn’t purely because of the monkeys. The astronaut for example is just as bad if not worse than the monkeys, but I didn’t say that moon aged poorly due to that. The reason I said that ascension aged poorly is that the map is no longer unique, and there are too many other maps that offer what it offers. The monkeys more so the straw the broke the camel’s back. Oh and for sarah’s role as buffy, I do know that she’s more known for that role than daphne. I just thought it would be hilarious to mention a much goofier role just to slightly irritate some people who expected buffy. There’s a few comments mentioning this so I guess it worked lmao
I never understood why people hate the ascension monkeys with such a burning passion. Sure they can be annoying but without them Ascension would be the easiest map in zombies history. They are very predictable in their pathing and as long as you set up well and actually aim good you can deal with them easily everytime without losing a perk.
I think I perfectly outlined my problem with ascension in this video. They don’t make the map harder. even with the monkeys on the map, ascension is one of if not the easiest map in zombies. The monkeys aren’t a problem because they’re hard to deal with. They are easily killable with traps and the thundergun. The problem is that they waste your time by forcing you to go around the entire map getting your perks back. And even if you’re able to deal with them without losing perks, they’re not a fun boss enemy to fight. That’s a valid reason to hate them
Can you do a video on BO2 as well? That was my first and honestly made me hate BO1 on so for years, because without a team it felt like training the game, but as an adult it’s in my top three, in order from 3-1 it’s bo1, bo3, and BO2
He already did for every black ops game. Granted the cold war vid was made 2 years ago and was only 10 minutes long but it still counts, he even reviewed the entirety of bo2 twice.
I'm a very casual player, black ops 3 is usually held up as being brilliant zombies and yeah I guess but a lot of those maps turned me off simply because of the Easter egg steps needed for PAP and so on. I'm very white bread and toast with zombies, call me boring, so bo1 and 2 had so many maps that just worked for me with Kino being the crown jewel. My favourite map.
That’s a common misconception. Mule kick was never a thing until moon came out. When the perk was introduced in moon, the devs decided to retroactively add it to all previous maps. If you doubt that, try playing a game of any map other than moon and the waw remasters offline. Mule kick won’t be on the map
Couple of things I completely forgot to mention in the video. First of which is why I didn’t include dead ops arcade, and the second thing is the round 100 that achieved on call of the dead

He does have a god awful mic, but his donations are appreciated. But in all seriousness, thanks for the tip senior
Still better than whatever the fuck that Blauwbeer guy had, 1890's radio ass mic.
Bo1 was my first zombies game. I never had a xbox 360 or a ps3, so when my friend got the game and a copy of bo1, you know i was over there everyday i could. Booting up the zombies menu and hearing the piano of damned sends chills everytime i play it. Awesome video man, the wait, as always, was worth it
Same. Asked my friend every single day if I could go over and play 😂
Not gonna lie I’ve been seeing the updates for this video and I’ve been patiently waiting and I can say with certainty this is one worth watching, great vid man 🙏 definitely worth the wait 👍
Dead ops arcade players be malding for not getting mentioned in
I genuinely forgot mention anything related to it. I guess the mode is that forgettable lmao
Bruh xD
Quick tip for ascension:
place claymores on each perk machine the more you progress
Idk if it was a meme to reduce Sarah M. Geller to "Daphne" when she was literally Buffy the Vampire Slayer...
it was a meme yes
I know that she’s buffy. The reason I mention daphne instead is that I thought it would be hilarious to slightly bother anyone watching that bit thinking I would bring up buffy. There has been a few comments mentioning this, so it’s working lmao
you are my favorite zombies youtuber, been waiting on this video
Favorite? that is something I never thought I’d hear so soon. Glad you like the content brotha
I hereby announce this video essay and our joyous contribution towards it as an artifact of significant historical value.
May our AUGs be non-anachronistic and our pneumonias not in the several!
Omfg i never thought it would come out,Thank so you much for bringing us this video brother 🙏🏽🖤
Oh shit, its finally here! Been waiting for this one man, glad ya were finally able to finish it
Great video, man!
Incredibly well done. I really love the longer videos, keep it up man!
Fantastic video, was well worth the wait.
So l glad this video finally dropped, I’ve been super excited for it!
Edit: Yeah I agree that ascension is the worst aged map in the game by far, having to play so much ascension is what completely burned me out on making videos on zombies for a few months, so props to you for powering through it!
Just got done with the kino section, great video so far would love to see a chronicles retrospective in the future.
But reviewing on it’s own would be extremely hard to pull off
every couple of months i rewatch all of your videos it's kinda weird ive out of the zombies loop for a year now
I’m glad that you enjoy the videos this much brotha
Asylum. Freeze-ray… Wait- Mr. Freeze! It’s a Batman reference!
27 years old now proper nostalgia! Recently just bought WaW and Black ops 1 for Xbox purely for zombies. Wish there were more players on the servers 😢
I've been playing this game since a few weeks before DLC1 came out, and I continue to play it to this day (I totally recommend the Renaissance mod for a really fun and refreshing experience too!) A few nerdy things to note:
Commonly, most know the Wunderwaffe as the "Jugg Zapper", but what it's actually doing is zapping your health regen away.
An og mr rofflewaffles? That’s an interesting way to describe me. I’m glad you enjoyed the video brotha
Yes I have been waiting for this
The Frosty cameo was like an og MCU cameo. Had me cheering like I was at the cinema
Trust me, I was just as happy when I saw the masterpiece he made for the video
Was playing old cods even after the ps4 and almost into ps5, all timeless classics. WAW, MW2, BO1, MW3 and BO2
I'm only 44 mins into this video but I love it already. Amazing production work and I love the little art in between the sections.
43:48 "This Place" would be known as "Lander D" as the Russian letter "Д" on the terminal translates into English as the letter "D". The "Junkyard" can also be referred to as "Lander F" (Ф = F) and the Speed Cola lander can be referred to as "Lander B" (Б = B)
Edit: Finishing the Ascension section.
Man this is such a good video that obviously had a lot of time and work put into it. Can’t wait for more man💯
I’ve been waiting for this vid! Yessir
you earned my sub for the DBZ BT2 music. god bless you. great vid
God bless you too brotha. I had to put lost courage due to how much of a banger it is
Awesome video! Been waiting on this one for awhile and it didn’t disappoint
Even a p diddy party couldn’t stop me from watching this video
I remember buying my 1st second hand PS3 Super slim back on 2018 I instantly grab Black ops combo pack sealed.
Hold on, gotta mark this video down right now, this is a good video to eat too, I'll be back later.
I've loved zombie since a kid. But as you grow up you realise that training is just a waste of your time. Now I only enjoy zombie maps that don't allow you to train like shangri-la
You hit the nail on the head with everything you said. I just wish I could play this game without getting hacked
One of the best videos on cod zombies to drop!
Really good video, I agree
Nice video keep up the good work, btw round 105 has been achieved on Call of the Dead solo
Apparently that was a week before this video was posted. It’s unfortunate that I didn’t hear about since I finished the call of the dead section over a month ago, and I didn’t expect a round 100 before finishing the video
Everyone I always played with only liked Kino and Der riese because the other ones were too hard to them. So frustrating
Good video keep it up bro
finally been waiting for this broski
It’s finally here! Time to bust out the popcorn 🍿
imo cod zombies went downhill with the mindset that mob of the dead introduced, focusing on Easter eggs\story when the real appeal of zombies is the rogue like elements that it never leaned into as much as it should. the box having the best weapons, but also risking giving you shitty guns is the best example of this. your point about bo1 weapons was a good point, having to overcome difficult maps while having a bunch of playstyles due to box luck, direction you go in on a map, perk choice makes it interesting.
1:15:30 the statement that a solo player has not gotten passed round 100 is no longer true wunderful released a great video covering the feat and is hella weird how he does it
Gotta say I love these videos
Glad you do man
Classic Treyarch zombies will never get outdated. The mode is simple enough that anybody can get into it, with the possibility of added complexity if you go for high rounds or EEs. The lore's also there if you're interested but you can play thr mode perfectly fine without it.
You gotta upload more man your vids are soooo good
Bro I wish, but these videos take a lot of time to make. Not only that but my progress of making videos is slowed down by college. I’ll get more and more efficient in the future hopefully
@@zestymoon feels man I just enjoy them a lot since there aren’t a lot of zombie TH-camrs that make videos like these
Oh look! A masterpiece!
Shadows of evil when it first came out was kinda annoying but shadows of evil now is one of my favorite maps in BO3
yeah I just wish the giant was free so people could play something less overwhelming at the time. plus it's a remake map so c'mon
@@pikminologueraisin2139 dude I feel this 100% I remember when I finally bought chronicles I got the giant with it and I just felt like "damn this would have been perfect with shadows of evil as a map rotation"😂🙏
Damn this is a pretty fire ass video
BO1 is the best Call of Duty in my eyes. All 3 modes were solid. And zombies was creepy.
1:13:25 BASED. You are so based, I love your content and personality.
I’ll never forget that I saw a video of an airport behind the first WAW map, it was modded and I didn’t know what mods were, but I would keep playing trying to unlock enough doors/points to open the door to the airport. I sucked and played solo so it never happened haha
"I've played this game more than anyone in the last 5 months"
Some rando speedrunner: *chuckles*
Ok maybe like top 10.
In what universe is Jugg "easy to get to" on Kino? it's in a tiny corner from hell that is next to impossible to get out of
Well if you’re training in the stage and all the zombies are there, you can easily run there, get the perk, and dip to the lobby. That amount of time you have to do that is an eternity. Even if you’re not in the stage, if you sprint from any room in the map to jug, there’s no way any zombie would be around to block you path. Granted all of that is in solo, but in co op, you can have your teammates defend you.
Kino Der Toten has always been my favorite zombies map.
Imma give my personal opinions on the maps:
Kino Der Toten: Personal favorite map of all time and I really love it.
Moon: An Great ending map, but it got better in BO3
Nacht Der Untoten: Atmosphere is downgraded but has Mule Kick and Thunder Gun
Verruckt: Shittiest version of the map. Why does it get the Winter's Howl
Shi No Numa: Just Eh.
WAW and BO1 Bring back memories ...
Boutta miss my sons birth for this 💯
As you should
Why is it so hard to find time in my life? I hope that today will be the day in which I finally watch this video
And I hope that you’re going to enjoy it
I like the nova crawlers.

(which was very high, i really loved the cast of five except for mcnamara because im biased)
and oh shit a frosty collab! caught me off guard watching the five segment
Bro how do you only have 4k subs thats wild
Hopefully One day I’ll get far
I truly do think Blundell was the end of zombies, his complete arrogance and belief that he knew what everyone wanted is still astounding to me. He made TWO good (frankly tedious and repetitive) maps and immediately took over an entire game and then managed to drive the entire thing into the ground. The fact he had the gall to create an entire new story in the middle of the one people have been following for years is one of the funniest things ever.
It’s sad that people still praise him
Edit: also naming Daphne instead of Buffy for SMG is insane 😂
I'm about to watch this once for real and like 4 more times in the background 😂
(Also I broke my edging streak to this)
A fitting end for that streak
Alleluia.
Rewatched the video, i changed my mind it sux lmao
That’s a valid reason to hate them
I'm pretty sure I've had the QED empty my ammo as well as other nefarious things.
Can you do a video on BO2 as well? That was my first and honestly made me hate BO1 on so for years, because without a team it felt like training the game, but as an adult it’s in my top three, in order from 3-1 it’s bo1, bo3, and BO2
I already made a bo2 video lmao
great content as always! do you plan on doing these types of videos for every single black ops or zombies mode in general?
Not all of them, but there’s a couple that I would like to make videos on.
He already did for every black ops game. Granted the cold war vid was made 2 years ago and was only 10 minutes long but it still counts, he even reviewed the entirety of bo2 twice.
bo1 zombie was peak its improve everything what make waw zombie so great
Forgot two major Kino strats... Fire trap and foyer room for the unlucky fourth player lmao
It’s HERE ITS HERE
Acension wasnt the first map to introduce a new Perk, Kino introduced Mulekick and also had 5 perks.
That’s a common misconception. Mule kick was never a thing until moon came out. When the perk was introduced in moon, the devs decided to retroactively add it to all previous maps. If you doubt that, try playing a game of any map other than moon and the waw remasters offline. Mule kick won’t be on the map
Oh on didn't know that, mb and thank you for the clarification. @@zestymoon
