@@zestymoon yessir. the fact that there's a time limit, the constant crashes (I'm in the middle East servers too and my games crash like crazy), and the fact that you can't even play in a private lobby is absolutely ASININE. 1:29:39 The painful truth of modern gaming, said simply yet eloquently. Also insane props for buying multiple copies of the game to get the content for this video. Also also, I don’t want to go find the time stamp about the durability of American walls, but I was incredibly triggered until I looked at what is on my terribly fragile wall and was given a gentle, reassuring, embracing glance from my *_fully automatic_* M16A4.
make sure you don't accidently fire your fully automatic M16A4. it's possible that one of the bullets might go though your wall, the neighbor's wall, and hit one of the neighbors by accident
I’d give this game mode a 6.5/10. I had fun being able to learning how to deal with the tiers, contracts, warps/ees, different places of the maps. What gets me is how much more it could’ve been. The dark aether got a little creative, but it took until nearing to the end of this game’s life cycle to get there. The pack a punch system was around the same as Cold War’s and same with ammo mods. Then came the horrible servers that would kick you out. Results of that happening are that you lose everything in your backpack, insured slots are on cooldown and you lose an insane amount of your extraction bonus. What I really do like about this game mode is how forgiving it is to newer players willing to learn how to get their operator armor, upgraded backpack, self revive and perks.(I say this as a zombies noob :D)
I would personally give it a similar rating, but I wanted more from this mode. it started out great at launch, and never built upon the structure it created.
what I meant is that you can leave the weapon stash building while still doing progress to the contract, while if you leave the outlast building, you'll start losing progress. I still should've clarified that though
I just completed the entire game within a month because it has just been put on gamepass, I enjoyed it for the most part but once you have everything unlocked and you have done everything the game truly has NOTHING else to offer.
Within 30 seconds of this video, I HAD to leave a like on it. Everybody was rightfully upset for the campaign, yet people defended MWZ. Especially from what I seen on twitter. People understand Warzone ruining the campaign gameplay but don’t see that for the Zombies? I don’t understand that. I don’t think the same people who defended MWZ is going to stay as loyal to those who played traditional zombies
I’m gonna be honest with you chief, I straight up didn’t know MW3 had a zombies mode. Haven’t even seen a minute of gameplay till your video. Take that how you will
I've gone back to Bo3 recently and had to completely re learn everything to be able to complete the main easter eggs. It is the most fun I've had playing zombies probably since it's original release. Honestly i don't think it's even possible for the current developers to create something like Bo3 again. (Whether it's lack of time/skill/care idk) but when a game from 2015 can completely outshine the current 2024 version it really seems like they don't care.
my personal thoughts on this is that I think it's really just a change in target demographic. they are trying to appeal to a crowd that is much easier to appeal to/impress than the older fanbase. you and I might not like this game, but a massive amount of people do. I remember this one clip on twitter of someone calling mw3 the best zombies mode, and in the clip, all he does is throw a monkey bomb. he literally says that he never enjoyed the old zombies games but he enjoyed this one.
@zestymoon I hear it and I actually agree to some extent. Some of it is really complicated for casual players that just wanna play zombies without doing the easter eggs but at the same time it really does suck that we won't get anything like bo3 again. I did try to enjoy mwz (I have all schematics unlocked) but it's a completely different game.
so I personally haven't played dmz when it came out, and gave it a try after mw3 came out. the mode instantly felt familiar, like too familiar for a mode I've never played.
Pro tip for obelisk hunting They all start spawning at around 10 mins left before storm so it's easy and allows you to use the time better Also MWZ is straight dookie
Nice tip. I will definitely use it the next time I go to the unstable rift. Unfortunately, I would rather go face first in a pool of liquid nitrogen then even play the unstable rift again
Lettin aside all boomer and the warzone and the dmz reeskin allegations This game mode had great potential but they never added new contrats, or new enemies, or new perks, or new world events,or vehicules, new loot, wonderweapons, or, anything...........
Mwz saddens me for what it could have been but i saw the writing on the wall When they started adding zombies content in the middle of a season only and it was always recycled bullshit They didnt care about mwz players at all A shame cause the guns/gameplay and map were fun

@@sneedler5993 you would be surprised by the amount of people that get pissed off to an unhinged level when they see someone dislike a game that they like. This is a great video and all, but I don't really think you can have a whole ass segment complaining about the story without actually listening to all the radios, lol. I mean the radios don't actually help that much, but they do go into a good amount of detail about Jansen getting over her hatred for Ravenov
@@JohnnyJohnnyJohnnyJohnnyJohnny here’s the thing with this. I’m talking about the story in the way that it’s presented to me. The cutscene in the 3rd act 4 mission has pretty much the most important character moment in the game. That getting resolved in a radio/multiple radios is stupid. You can’t blame me for expecting that this couldn’t have been resolved in a random radio that is placed in this massive battle royal map that, fun fact, is literally over 6 million m² in size.
@zestymoon that is 100% true but I feel like it's a little unfair to not mention it at all. The radio hunt is also bullshit I was one of the few hunting for them and it sucked ass
@@JohnnyJohnnyJohnnyJohnnyJohnny fair enough, but I think the rest of my points are solid. Also question, when you hunted for them, did they appear with death perception?
1:16:25 I live and play in America and I still get constant crashes even when doing dark aether item gather quest my game would crash and I’d lose everything
In other words, you are having the typical modern warfare 3 zombies experience. The crashing problem I was talking about was related to a bug with the language files of the game that made portions of the map completely inaccessible. And since the Middle East version of the game downloads these files by default, every middle eastern player is incapable of playing zombies
Eh I disagree with a lot of what you’re saying. I solo’s everything in MWZ and had fun doing it. I rather explore the dark aether and get schematics than boringly train Zombies at round 50. But that’s just me 🤷♂️
@@DJCinthaBoy I’m glad you enjoyed the game more than me I actually also dislike going for round 50 plus as well. The reason is the same as the dark aethers, which is the “monotonous brain bead spam to win” mentality. The reason I play zombies is because of its addicting progression, and when I get to a round that is so high that my experience will be repetitive for the rest of the match, I tend to stop playing there. My biggest problem with modern warfare 3 is that progression has stayed pretty much the same since launch, and they never added any new maps or gamemodes that had a drastic difference in how you progress. I hope that despite the disagreement, you still enjoyed this video at least
cod zombies is dead. maybe some former codz devs or indie devs who grew up with the game will come together to make a new studio/game that can actually hold a candle to old cod zombies
Comong from cold war I hated the idea of MWZ. I only bought it becuase my buddy did and told me he wanted me to play him. Ended up being my absolute favorite zombies game so far. Its addictive even though I have everything in this game. Some time I infil maxed out and run tier 3 solo or join a squad and do an elder run. Sometimes I just take it easy and stay in tier 1 all game. I even started a new game to do it all over again. I dont see how some one cant like this game. It such a refreshing take. I think people who hated this game, just never gave it a change. Beside the lack of attention that older games would get this game has been a blast. If this game had the attention and Dev time that older games got it would Perfection. You actually have things to do, besides shooting zombies. Different contract, gaining schematics, getting a stash filled with the best loot, kit out all your operators, level up containment level, easter eggs, story missions, boss fights, act missions objectives, basically everything you can do on round based and so much more. With so much more to do than roundbased, people that got bored after 2 weeks never gave it a chance from the start.
I’m glad you enjoy it man. I gave this game a chance. I really did. And I expressed that in my video. The summary of this video is that the seasonal content let me down, and the devs let me down with their unwillingness to make changes that people have been asking for, and their inability to fix issues that people have been facing for weeks. The fact that zombies was unplayable to every single middle eastern player for an entire month is unacceptable. I gave this game a chance, and I hope you give this video a chance to at least see where I’m coming from. But do as you wish
@@zestymoon but that’s not an issue with MWZ that is an issue with Zombies. The same issues with lack of content or relative content after season 1, the bugs, and crash, and all the issues you had with MWZ your most likely going to have with BO6. I’m not saying the game was over all the best I’m saying the design of the loop. The multi tier, large map, extraction based, objective driven zombies with a large lobby size.
Personally I think they should’ve introduced Extinction again with MWIII and make it more of the objective side mode and make zombies be the more round based mode just me tho
I wouldn't say waste of dev time at all. They tried a lot of different things this time as well with Vanguard. can't wait to watch this. I played mwz recently too and I'm ready to hear all my frustrations through this video
have your expectations been met?
@@zestymoon yessir. the fact that there's a time limit, the constant crashes (I'm in the middle East servers too and my games crash like crazy), and the fact that you can't even play in a private lobby is absolutely ASININE. I didn't know about the unstable rift and good lord does that sound obnoxious from what you described
also bonus points for using naruto music!
Yeaaaaa (holy f 2 months in the making zesty works too much)
1:29:39 The painful truth of modern gaming, said simply yet eloquently.
Ain’t no way bro whipped out AutoCAD to cook this game 💀
sometimes a game is so bad that you have to be creative with how you cook it
You can leave an outlast contract the same way you can with an safe contract
what I meant is that you can leave the weapon stash building while still doing progress to the contract, while if you leave the outlast building, you'll start losing progress. I still should've clarified that though
It’s fine if you forget that it’s call of duty. I don’t really count it as an entry into the proper zombies mode, but I still find it tons of fun.
I just completed the entire game within a month because it has just been put on gamepass, I enjoyed it for the most part but once you have everything unlocked and you have done everything the game truly has NOTHING else to offer.
BO6 zombies is gonna ripped a new one soon enough
MWZ is genuinely their worst zombies yet
eh. vanguard is probably worse
yeah we playing this one on the work intercoms
You are enhancing the experience of everyone there
Within 30 seconds of this video, I HAD to leave a like on it.
I forgot mwIII even had a zombies mode
I wish I was ignorant of this game
I’m gonna be honest with you chief, I straight up didn’t know MW3 had a zombies mode. Haven’t even seen a minute of gameplay till your video. Take that how you will
@@Egalia_1 honestly, I wish I was in your position. Being ignorant of this game would’ve given me a better life
With how the menu screen for cod hq is designed I don’t think anyone can blame you 🤣
And somehow I just know they’re not doing away with the gay purple crystals everywhere. It’s gonna trickle over into bo6 they can’t help themselves
Great video 💪
I would love to see a continuation of the chaos story of bo4 instead of this "usa vs russia" shtfest of cold war, vanguard, mw3 and cold war 2 ("bo6")
I enjoy the outbreak style game mode as an option. But the feel of this one was horrible. And that time limit was the worst.
Getting this for free on gamepass is the only reason I play it and even then the other options on gamepass are just more worth it
Goat’s referenced 30:15
Gonna be missing my prison sentence to watch this instead.
So basically cod zombies x stranger things😂
cant wait for 1 on blops 6
we gotta wait a long time for that for sure
After playing 10 rounds I can say
If you played DMZ you have played this mode already
so I personally haven't played dmz when it came out, and gave it a try after mw3 came out. the mode instantly felt familiar, like too familiar for a mode I've never played.
its so ass if ur looking for the round based experience, but it isnt a terrible mode imo
Pro tip for obelisk hunting
They all start spawning at around 10 mins left before storm so it's easy and allows you to use the time better
Also MWZ is straight dookie
Nice tip. I will definitely use it the next time I go to the unstable rift. Unfortunately, I would rather go face first in a pool of liquid nitrogen then even play the unstable rift again
Lettin aside all boomer and the warzone and the dmz reeskin allegations
This game mode had great potential but they never added new contrats, or new enemies, or new perks, or new world events,or vehicules, new loot, wonderweapons, or, anything...........
I know what I’ll be doing today and tomorrow, watching this video of course
Hope you enjoy it man

2:19 idk who needs these reassurances but jesus you can not like something without having to grovel to the people who do. Are these kinda of people so insure about themselves they get pissed off by criticisms about MWZ and take it as a personal attack, seriously?? I love MWZ and find it interesting to see why people dont.
@@sneedler5993 you would be surprised by the amount of people that get pissed off to an unhinged level when they see someone dislike a game that they like. Now that you bring it up, I think that this segment was completely pointless, since those people are gonna look at the title and comment about the video without watching it
AMEN
@zestymoon no. They are mostly all really well hidden too. It was a pain in the ass
@@JohnnyJohnnyJohnnyJohnnyJohnny BRUH. that's borderline evil. no wonder many weren't able to find it lmao
I knew i wasnt crazy because I saw genuinely no appeal whatsoever it was repetitive and bland and wasnt fun to me at all
1:16:25 I live and play in America and I still get constant crashes even when doing dark aether item gather quest my game would crash and I’d lose everything
In other words, you are having the typical modern warfare 3 zombies experience. The crashing problem I was talking about was related to a bug with the language files of the game that made portions of the map completely inaccessible. And since the Middle East version of the game downloads these files by default, every middle eastern player is incapable of playing zombies
Zombies
yes
Eh I disagree with a lot of what you’re saying. I solo’s everything in MWZ and had fun doing it. I rather explore the dark aether and get schematics than boringly train Zombies at round 50. But that’s just me 🤷♂️
@@DJCinthaBoy I’m glad you enjoyed the game more than me
I actually also dislike going for round 50 plus as well.

Honestly, I don’t know if I even want to make a video on it. The mode is so uninteresting to me that I can’t even force myself to buy it
Fax, CW imo.
Outbreak > mwz all day
YOOOOO!!!
Waste of dev time tbh, eh I did like MWIIIs MP and Resurgence tho thought it was super fun have like 860+ hours 💀
Personally I think they should’ve introduced Extinction again with MWIII and make it more of the objective side mode and make zombies be the more round based mode just me tho
@@Fckitupppwould’ve been an interesting idea to be sure. But I don’t think everyone would be pumped about it
I wouldn't say waste of dev time at all. They tried a lot of different things this time as well with Vanguard. I know I know, both are bland and one is worse than the other, but they explored some narrative stuff and gameplay things that are actually good. With BO6/BO7 we are going to see where these thing's went.
