MY favorite movie of all time. This came out at a time when my husband was acting EXACTLY like Shirley's husband in the movie. This movie was so helpful to me. So grateful for this movie!!!

Oh yes, Actually when Shirleys Husband showed up, he had sold the house and bought a villa up the beach, right next to a summer home of Marjorie (whom he colluded with to surprise Shirley you see, both of them loving her so...) and now they are beach-side neighbors _and fantasically happy!_ Especially when this loud funny Fabulous old friend of Majories shows up: Edina Monsoon... Then, Lovely Marjorie becomes rowdy Patsy and its off to the clubs! _(Shirley pretends to mind but it's all terribly fun, so she goes along in the end!)_

I loved that movie Shirley was absolutely beautiful and made up her mind to go to Greece and went to find her real identity she’d been smothered by her husband s demands even though she lived him she was just taken advantage of. But she made him realize he had a jewel and he still wanted her so he changes to see Shirley is special!

Shirley Valentine was on this week which I again enjoyed learning more from the film. Loved her growth. I experienced similar going to Portugal on my own after a break up. Funny I've taped the film Now Voyager to watch, so looking forward to viewing.

I watched this movie over 5 years ago with my ex partner on a rainy Saturday night in the winter, in our warm cosy flat. I had no recollection of what the title was, just that it contained the name of a female although I thought the name began with M and didn't have a surname in it. Well with various intensive searching methods and name guessing, I managed to find it. GREAT FILIM
