"That's what fame is for." That was actually really kind of beautiful what Joanna said. As a famous actress she offers what she can and what she can offer is shining a spotlight on important issues. I wish more famous people looked at their gift of fame like that. She's such a well spoken women with a lovely voice. Polar opposite of Patsy! 😉🍾🇬🇧💖

I've finally found someone that hates social media as much as I do. I find it more antisocial than social. Nothing is personal anymore. And selfies are so weird to me. It's a sin if you don't answer your mobile like its meant to be permanently strapped to your face. That's just my opinion. Does anyone feel the same?
Yes, I do. It use to be that people contacted each other here and there, even close friends. Now they are constantly in touch with a "news" feed, revealing so much, cluttering our minds and constantly chatty.

This interviewer is really being awkward. She is insulting them in every sentence by pitying how old they are, talking about "tragedy" of being old, and she does not make a difference between them and their characters in Absolutely Fabulous. It is great that they are playing two middle-aged women being silly, there is nothing tragic in it! This woman who asks questions does not understand that they are genius actresses and writers, not Patsy and Edina in real life. Joanna realized that and started making fun of her. Brilliant move to teach the woman a lesson.
Kinlever yes but Patsy and Edina were always worried about their age the movie is indeed about being old for Eddie. I actually like them in this interview all the other interviewers I have seen just drool all over them and I think they get a bit uncomfortable Jen is actually very shy and I do not think sh appreciates it when interviewers just base their interview on how lovely she is she is very intelligent and enjoys a good interview like this one. No nervous giggles
I absolutely agree. That nasty little pop about Jennifer Saunders memoir was not needed.
I thought this was quite good. Clever, insightful, and witty and is a nice reminder that these are not functions of age. These are very talented women in class with Diana Rigg.

This was a while ago but it’s clear that Ms. Lumley had just had one whopper of a facelift before the interview. She’s SEVENTY there. Touching her chin constantly, positioning her hands, etc. Don’t get me wrong: it’s a FANTASTIC facelift, excellent work. But she is SEVENTY and the skin is that of a 25 year-old. 😂 It’s great surgery but a shocking juxtaposition. She looks younger here than she did when they first filmed that gig in 1991. Love ‘em both.

Now gurl, just because they are in comedy doesn't mean they got no brain, I'm fairly sure both of these gals are theatrically trained, and Joanna showed a lot of intelligence and a rather realistic outlook on life.
So what, they didn't seem to be offended and seemed to actually enjoyed the chit chat.

I hate when Jen and her accomplishments are left out of the intro after all Joanna May be an ex model and Bond girl but Jen has 30+ years of comedy under her belt but she wrote and starred in a series that went global and it lasted for more than 20 years because of Jens smart talented writing and acting.

Doesn't seem like the interviewer knows much about the show nor these two lovely and incredibly talented people. Certainly didn't see the Graham Norton interview she referred to. And Jennifer's memoir was fun and brilliant! Please interviewer... get real!

It's wonderful to hear lovely, cut-glass English accents. Being well-spoken seems to be going out of fashion. Hearing Catherine Middleton speak is absolutely painful and she's supposed to be royalty. Both Jennifer and Joanna sound lovely.
LOL. Alberici is a fish out of water doing an 'entertainment' interview. I would love her to do an hour interview with JS or JL and skip the 'entertainment' part. When she pitched her socio-political questions the interview really worked.
We see intellectual pomposity crossing material pomposity. We had so much fun, and took too much for granted.
I love both of them but Especially Jen I’ve alway thought she is more beautiful then Joanna especially when she was younger compared to younger Joanna I watched her in the short film Oxford by the comic strip not only was she beautiful she acted brilliantly.

Joanna looks younger than Jennifer, being a vegan is the key i am sure , I smoke i drink, and yet i am in perfect health , and i am 42 , don't eat meat .
But more importantly her brain is working and she is fearless , and so honest about the way the world functions .

It's quite funny how everybody agrees to say how "terrible" that poor journalist was!! lol I thought she was great! Pleasantly dressed and groomed too... And there was a good balance between she and both our heroes... I don't know, that 's just my observation... Anyway, I think Jennifer looks hot with blond hair and no lipstick. But then again, I've always thought she looked hot....

Pussycatfeathers Joanna Linley has proudly avoided plastic surgery of any kind. So she claims. I tend to believe her, you can almost always tell when someone has had work done. She has a very good makeup artist. Beautiful as always
