The most powerful dialogue I've ever known is in this film. She sits by a table at the seafront with her glass of wine, watching the sunset. This was always her dream. . "I knew exactly how I would feel. And now I'm here, I don't feel like that at all. I just feel rather daft & very old".

this has to be one of the best British comedy movies ever one my favorite scenes in this film, is with the dog that turns his nose at muesli and like what hell is crap you're feeding me, and Shirley offers the dog some stake who licks his lips thinking I'll some of that

No ! Stay away from Mykonos & Santorini. This film was 35 years ago. It's not like that now. Those 2 islands are jam-packed, over-built & extremely expensive. And there are hundreds of other FAR more beautiful islands.
