About Nikki and Rodin:
Rodin can leave behind an item for you when he leaves
Nikki also may draw a Smash Ball for you before she leaves. It's easier to break than a normal one, but only for the one who initially summoned her. Personally I think Nikki should have been A tier.

It's actually pretty weird how slow BK is. In his origin game it was commented on how incredibly quick he is despite wearing heavy armour

A TH-camr I follow once dug up and watched some old video game promotional tapes, and one of them was a Street Fighter 2 tips and tricks video. Everyone was genuinely surprised to see a Guile guide that WASN'T doing this.
Some of these assist show such an array of moves it makes you scratch your head why they aren't an actual fighter.

@@Alex-oc1fu seriously there are a few that pop up in adventure mode and they don't feel like assist, I had that feeling going against Alucard. Specially when you don't have an assist killer spirit and see them pull out all sorts of moves.

Something that amuses me is how Rathalos, the giant red dragon and a boss character, is not restricted from any stage. I would think a big boy like him would only be compatible on select arenas, but it seems that Rathalos is free to be summoned on most any stage, as far as I know...
He's definitely one of my favorite Assist Trophies alongside Alucard, Krystal, Riki, Knuckle Joe, Shadow, the Sheriff, and Sukapon.
Edit: I went to Training Mode, and it appears that Rathalos cannot be summoned on certain stages. These include Temple, The Great Cave Offensive, and Palutena's Temple. I suppose that makes sense, given that those areas are riddled with platforms, and Rathalos needs wide open space to attack enemies. Strangely, you _can_ call on him at New Pork City and 75m. Huh...🤔

If the yellow Sheriff guy shoots your shield, his bullet disappears and he fires again immediately. It's just non-stop shield pressure and you can't do much against it.

I won't lie, Thwomp is actually pretty ok. It does the thing where it gets rid of part of the stage, and in their pokemon tier list this was one of the main good things.

Yes. A new feature with Shadow is that he completely stops time for a split second, which allows you to hit your k.o move if you haven't already.

Wily below Dr. Kawashima doesn't seem right to me. It can be easy to avoid the numbers/explosions. The numbers can even be knocked around. The numbers don't last that long either. Wily shoots multiple projectiles at once that home in on opponents, and he also has projectiles that move around on floors/platforme like the Hothead item. In this video. Dr. Kawashima even did no damage to the Diddy Kong and didn't take long to disappear; Wily did a decent amount of damage to the Diddy and didn't even get defeated or disappear before moving on to the next assist trophy.
Let's pay a little respect to our fallen dreams.

One interesting thing about the Metroid assist trophy is that it's invulnerable to damage unless you're hitting it with an ice move like PK Frost, just like in the Metroid games

There is one thing you might not know about Rodin. If you are playing with other items along with assist trophies, especially battering items or shooting items, Rodin might give you one of those weapons before he disappears.
Oh, that's why he flips a drill over his shoulder in his introduction video!

When we asked for these characters in smash, we meant actual playable characters
You gotta realize that making a character takes infinitely more time than making an assist trophy. For characters, they have so many more animations due to the fact that they do way more that one or two things, and also they are more worried about testing them for balancing purposes than they are assist trophies. Just be happy that those characters are in the game at all.
I know, I’m just disappointed seeing Shovel Knight and Bomberman in the game and I can’t be them, even after so many requests
MEGA MONKEY 1929 I could agree with you if this was the early 2000s, right now there’s something called “DLC” Sakurai can easily make like 5 seasons pass to make most of them playable and take a break of 1 year after he’s finished with a season pass, he doesn’t need to give them and specially the fans the kiss of death and a middle finger and add them as unplayable background characters, that’s just sad and quite insulting to the fans who wanted them playable.
With the existing of DLC assist characters are unnecessary and invalid nowadays if you ask me, heck if Sakurai didn’t wanted to take his time to make them into fully playable characters he could easily make them into semi playable and only have like 3 specials, a combo, dashes and called it a day (just like the N64 days in terms of moveset).

6:00 in a free for all, Vincent can be very effective because he gets rid of name tags, so if players lose track of where they are, which is rare granted, they can SD, although it isn’t that common.

Can you do an infinite assist trophy tier list? Most of them would probably be the same, but trophies like Cowboy go down from only attacking like a single Cowboy, trophies like Shadow go down because they straight up cancel the video game, and trophies like the Moon go up by making the entire screen a hitbox.

Burrowing Snagret is definitely my favorite Assist Trophy. He actively chases opponents, does good damage, and has led to some sick kills for me. Plus, I like how he looks.
You know, while it sucks seeing characters I wanted to have playable like Shovel Knight and Isaac being assist, it makes me happy knowing that they're some of the most useful to get. Make sit feel like they're kinda like fighters.

Knuckles should have been a fighter, they legit made a whole moveset for an assist trophy smh, he was perfect, he can punch, dig, spindash, and glide
