Moscow Metro stations are known for their beautiful design and architecture. Each station has its own character and story. Come with me as I show you my five favourite metro stations in this amazing city!
Which metro station do you think is most beautiful in Moscow? let me know if I missed any.
Kropotkinskaya is simple, but beautiful.
IMHO Mayakovskaya is the best one. Yet I can tell You which church is the best.
@@noisebuster5183 Yelokhovskaya?
@@noisebuster5183 which church is the best? Please share 😄
Being from Greenock Scotland 🏴 but also owning a house in Moscow its great to see another scot enjoying beautiful Moscow.. i love the Moscow metro.. its so efficient, clean, and beautiful. Enjoying the videos 🏴🇷🇺🏴
😊👍
The entire metro system is a work of art
💯👍🤗🇷🇺❤
It’s true, the best 👍🇷🇺
Nobody shows Novoslobodskaya. It's absolutely bonkers.
Also, a lot of new stations are awesome.
I’ve been to Moscow quite few times, but never had time to explore and to appreciate the beauty of Moscow’s metro stations. Thank you for sharing mate!👍🏻
You’re welcome, thanks for watching!

It was all done by the state for the common people. In fact you can see the real reason why West was (and still do) fighting against Russians - much better conditions for living for common people.
True
Beautiful ❤
😄
I think it would be right to show the new stations as well. For example, the new stations on the Big Circle Line... Such as Rizhskaya, Nagatinsky Zaton, etc... Good luck!✌🏻
That’s a great idea. I will definitely do another video about the Metro. Thanks, Sergey!
@@scottishguyinmoscow and the one with a plane !
Dmitriy Donskoy boulvard.
@@user-sf3fe4bh2q I have never been there I will check it out!
@@ElizavetaUskova I’ve seen it, it looks beautiful 😍
Advertising on escalators had appeared in mid 90's and was removed in late 2000's for esthetic reason.
Actually, the word "вокзал" has its roots in Vauxhall (as the first train station with this type if architecture and layout).
I love that Moscow has no advertising, so pleasing for the eye!
Electrozavodskaya is very pretty.
I have never been there, I must check it out soon!
Wunderbar!
😄
For the scotch man is very good english.
😆
Thanks for your vids. Good work. Greets from Sochi!
Thank you!
As someone who was born in Moscow I prefer Mayakovskaya. But I know the majority of foreigners find Komsomolskaya the most beautiful station: )
I’ve not been to Komsomolskaya yet, but the pictures look very beautiful
Mayakovskaya is a masterpiece, because it's timeless. You could be told it was built yesterday, and you wouldn't doubt it. Apart from some bits of delapidation, of course.
@@zloychechen5150 yes, agreed
Thanks for the guide around made ahd the tips, hope to visit Moscow in the next few years as I've not been since I was a teen.
Thank you for watching. Hopefully you get to come back to this great city! 😄

Every metro station differs and has its own design and individuality.
Very instructive and so, subscribed 👍 (France)

as a person living in Moscow I would love to see the one with a plane installation , cause I’ve never had a change to get there 😀
I’ll try to check it out
chance you mean
As a red head, you fit so well there, almost like a native. I'm sure you get mistaken a lot there for a local. 😅
👨🏻🦰
Thanks for this work
there used too be advertisement in Moscow's metro with the previous mayers of the city Лужков.
Just a note: 5:08 - this is a blue electric bus with big white letters ЭТО электробус. Lots of them in Moscow
Hi Elena, yes I get one every day to work. Great way to get around Moscow 😊
Thanks to evisa I passed my first 2 weeks in Moscow at the same time than you. You help me to complete my visit.
Troika card, I understood no limit of time only a wallet of money. 54 RUB per trip with this card. You can also pay with a bank card but slightly more expensive 62 RUB per trip.
Yes, but western bank card may not work so tourist should be careful
@@scottishguyinmoscow Of course russian local MIR card only.
Troika has 3 options for transfer payment:
1. Pay for time amount (for example, a day, a three days, a week, a month, a half year, a year) - this is best option on my opinion
2. Pay for pass (1 pass, 3 pass, 5 pass, 10 pass, etc) - it will cost you less, then wallet option
3. Pay with prepaid wallet within troika card (put money on troika, then pay for pass).
You can enter the subway with a smile on your face for 50 RUB.
5:14 Vokzal has a meaning more of a hub/bigger station, usually one per city (except, of course, Moscow). Normal train stations are called "stantsia" or "ostanovka" which exactly translate to English "station" or "stop"
I see, thank you!
Where is the Komsomolskaya station of the ring line? This is the most beautiful station!
I’ve only seen photos of it so far
Komsomolskaya on red line is pretty modest, Komsomolskaya on the circular line is magnificent
VERY NICE VIDEO.
❤❤❤❤
You should have shown the stations through which you entered and got out too even though they are much more basic.
It’s a good idea. It was hard to fit everything in and keep the video quite short. I’ll show more stations in the future. Thanks for watching!
When I worked in Moscow I infact walked to work down Old Arbat which was great as It avoided the peak rush on the metro but yeah my favourite stations are Киевская and Площадь Революция as people believe in rubbing that dogs nose gives you luck ))) What do you do in Moscow? English teaching I would presume? or working for Devere? :)
Arbat is a great place. Yeah I am a teacher
@@scottishguyinmoscow ahhh fair enough. If you ever get lonely go to papas place or The Бык, sous Sol pub is good too owned by an English guy called Simon and paddy’s on белорусская is owned by an Irish guy called Steve Conway.

Elizabeth Line (purple line) of the London metro is really delightful and lovely.
Hello how did you find the courage to make the jump to move? What do you do for living? Do you intend to stay long term? I am looking to network with western foreigners in Moscow as I would eventually like to move there and do business there. I have what many would consider a good situation in the UK but I want to move for a while in Russia and like I said do business because there are so many opportunities with their import substitution programs and so many companies looking to export and aggressively expanding. I grew up in Glasgow (but spent most of my life England and a little while in continental Europe). I hope you respond and we could correspond a little bit.
I love it here so I it didn’t take much courage. Once you get here you will love it
@@scottishguyinmoscow you don't mind me asking what you do there? And what was your motivation making the move?
There are already about 400 stations now in the Moscow metro with more to open soon. By 2030 there will be about 600 stations.
Which station has the library/ books ?
BEAUCOUP RESPEKT TOI
Arbatskaya has the longest hallway.

What’s the cost of living there to live comfortably
Some locals live for less than 1000 dollars a months. It just depends how much you need.
@@scottishguyinmoscow Yes, on 1000$ per month in Russia you can live very well without needing anything

Belorusskaya st?
In the 90's and 2000's, they were ads everywhere. Since early 2010's, they were removed. Train arriving gongs were my favorites (not the 4-tone ones as they are not interesting, 3-tone ones except newer one are the best) and it helps blinds people to get ready to board the train, they should be installing by end of 2024.
New stations since mid-2010's are not as beautiful since they cheapened out and use low-quality materials. Moscow Transport made the worst decision to remove English announcements from the trains and it's a discrimination against international tourism.
