Another awesome video! Thumbs way up. All good points about the Telluride's pros and cons. This vehicle was designed with the "typical" family hauler in mind geared more towards a stroll to the mall rather than an off road adventure. KIA already has a very off-road capable suv, with a proper ladder frame (body-on-frame) and permanent 4WD + low range + hill descent control: it is called the Mohave and has been sold worldwide for over a decade. It was brought to the USA for only 2 years as the Borrego back in 2008. Gas prices were horrible and both, the V6 and V8 were a bit thirsty so it was pulled off the market. The brand new 2021 Mohave has already been released in Korea and tue updates, especially the interior, are fantastic. I'm hoping that they eventually bring it to the USA, especially with the diesel engine that has over 400 lbs/ft of torque and 7500 lbs of towing capacity. In the meantime, I'll hold on to my trusty and thrusty V8 Borrego. I hope KIA is listening to you and many customers who are interested in off-road capable suvs. Keep up the good work and best wishes on your next adventure.
I have to admit I didn't think the Kia had a chance in the beginning, I was really surprised with each new video what it was able to do. There is a a lot of potential in that vehicle, only time will tell if Kia develops it further. Great review of the suv, great video!
I think it comes down to what fits your lifestyle. You took a suv that is not know for overland/camping and showed that it can do it. You could still drive it daily and accommodate comfort, MPG, hauling kids or whatever and still get outside. These days people get so wrapped up in what's the best or modifications they forget the reason for them. The review was really well done, hopefully it inspired travel as much as it educated. Nice work Jason.
Your videos showcasing the KIA Telluride in action and this review were awesome. This may be the best long term review on all of youtube. Thanks for your effort, attention to detail and dedication to seeing it through. The KIA is much more impressive than I would have thought, but could use some improvements. You have showcased the issues for people using vehicle in real overlanding, camping and hunting trips with practical footage and experience. I've built out a large overlanding truck (Nissan Titan platform) over the last couple year and you've highlighted so many of the advantages of an enclosed platform over the utility platform (SUV vs Truck). I wish I would have seen this earlier, I would have probably taken a different path. I'll definitely consider KIA if they make some changes for my next replacement vehicle.
Very informative review. This is the perfect vehicle for the sportsman and trail runner. Not a an all out rock crawler. The fuel tank needs to be bigger and a little more clearance up front. If you like to camp and want an all around 4X4 , this is it. You had no service issues, Better ride than a Jeep. Cheers.🇱🇷
That's not what he said. It has minimal clearance. It lacks low range gears so it wont have the torque others have. Good for tamer fire roads, not a great overland vehicle. More like moms station wagon that is beefed up. Certainly NOT a good all around 4X4. There are certain vehicles you see doing this, Jeeps, Tacomas and 4runners and landcruisers. Ford4x4 the rest not so much. If you plan to overland with this you will probably be in the dealership replacing parts often as you tear them off.
Well thought out review and excellent points made. It's nice seeing manufacturers build vehicles with a little more backcountry capability in mind, but I agree with you fully that without offering some lower gearing and eliminating that long, low nose, they make it very difficult to consider seriously for anything beyond reasonably well graded forest service roads. Even with those limitations, you've proven that a car like this CAN handle all kinds of crazy terrain without being a body-on-frame 4x4. An optional "offroad" package like you suggest makes all kinds of sense to maximize that capability. We don't all need a Jeep to get where we want to go. Nice work on the whole Telluride series...it's been very interesting.
I just got back from a trip in the mounts of far Northern California a stones throw from the Klamath river close to Dorris California. I Ran into some snow and took some Forest Service roads. I drove my 03 super Duty with 180,000 plus miles that I just installed new front spring with 2" of lift. I fell in love with it all over with that crisp sure foot on my Dana 60 front and Sterling 10.5 rear. I have the stock limited slip in the rear and it keeps me going mud snow and what not with no questions asked. I couldn't imagine going out off roading in the winter conditions in my 06' all wheel drive Mitsubishi Outlander on a regular basis and feel that it was rugged enough to do very long. Especially if I loaded it up with gear and was towing with it. It would probably do but I wouldn't wan't to find it's breaking point. Especially miles from anything and my cell phone or CB dead on air. Of course If I want to go ballistic off roading I jump into my 89' Toyota pickup that has one ton front and rear full locked differentials, dual transfer case with 40" sticky tires. Oh yeah. My Super Duty hauls it around anywhere I want and give me a bed to sleep in if I extend my fun. Keep the Ford. It's paid for. Spend your money by throwing a locker in it front/rear. Then send it with confidence. If you do manage to get it stuck you may want to have a 12,000 LB winch on her nose just to make things quick and easy getting out. Find that for cheap at the Harbor Freight store. I have pulled people out with mine and 2 of them said can't believe their spendy name brand unit failed them.
I agree . I’d rather take my 94 Ford Ranger 4 x 4 out in the sticks over the telluride any day. My ranger may not be as nice as your truck but that son of a bitch Climbs Hills like a damn Billygoat! LOL. Not so good in the mud though. I don’t have enough lift or big enough tires . Oh yeah and no winch, ouch!
All wheel drive systems have come a long way. BMW “X” series has “Down Hill Decent” control that works extremely well. I 100% agree with your infotainment statement, and think the tablet idea would be a game changer for both consumers and the manufacturer.
The funny thing is that my wife REALLY wanted this KIA but there were none available in the top trim. We did find a 4Runner TRD PRO in the Voodoo Blue (a vehicle we both wanted befoire the KIA). It's funny how you talk about the big dash screen because she was jazzed about that. The 4Runner is primitive in comparison and that's whyu I like it. Perhaps in a few years once we know about the KIA's longevity we might get one.
Very impressed with the Telluride. Your overall review was very informative. I'm looking for a new vehicle and will definitely see if it meets my needs. Thanks for the info. Happy trails, as always.
Thanks Man! I got my telluride a year ago and after watching your videos I have felt confident enough to slowly add some modifications, so far I've installed the 2" lift kit, swapped the 20 inch for 17 inch AT tires, also installed the factory metal skid plate and ordered an awning and fog lights that I'll install later, I got one of those air compressors and swapped the halogen head light bulbs with LEDs, I have a cargo box so I'm still debating if I need the roof rack, anyways, all these videos are awesome, Congrats!!!!
Kia has Mohave in S.Korea and it has truck based frame. It's almost same size as telluride but the ride isn't as comfortable . Mohave isnt planned to arrive in U.S market
It used be here in the USA back in 2009 as the KIA Borrego but they couldn't sell enough of them due to the high gas prices. They had the V6 3.8 and the higher one was a V8.
I think the Telluride is the perfect vehicle for most people. It's great on the road, very luxurious, has lots of tech and has enough offroad capabilities to drive to most hiking trail heads. With all that said, a stock Kia Telluride really isn't ready for even moderate offroad. Even modified it still seemed to lack. Rough sections were driven down upon, but we never got to see how it handled a sustained rocky climb. The bottom line is that Kia will sell alot of these, because it's made for the masses, not for overlanders. I hope they take Jason's advice and make these more capable.
Great video, since I am considering purchasing an SUV. I am really liking the reviews for the Telluride. I was considering the 4 runner but they are so darn expensive. I like the towing capacity and thanks for the info on the breaking system. Take care
My 7 passenger 2010 Kia Borrego EX V8, 6 speed auto has a body on frame. It can tow 7500 lbs, is rear wheel drive with auto 4x4, 4hi, 4low & auto locking rear diff. Kia is still making it as the Mohave worldwide with a V6 & a V6 diesel (8 speed auto). It can do everything you're doing. Too bad they pulled it out of N. America.
Great video! We love the outdoors and want to tow a small trailer, all the reviews only talk about it being a family car. We are not rock crawlers and soft off roaders so I think this is it for us. It was nice to see it all dusty and working hard! Great thought on the tablet holder! Happy trails👍
I think the Telluride performed admirably. Its clear this vehicle was never intended to be off-roading/overlanding vehicle however this shows the capability of the platform to get to 95% of the places a traditional consumer would go.
ENJOYED ! THANK YOU. WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT NEXT ? THE LEAVES ARE STARTING TO CHANGE HERE IN MARYLAND. VERY DRY HAVEN'T HAD ANY HELPFUL RAIN LETS SAY . STARTING TO GET SOME COOL NIGHTS BUT FAR & IN BETWEEN . BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU ALL ALWAYS !
I wanted a Kia Telluride all wheel drive. They are super hard to find. One dealer bragged than he was charging 8K over MSRP. I almost bought it from a dealer who wanted to charge me only 3K over MSRP. Then I bought a Hyundai Palisade in Tracy and got WAY more options (fully loaded) at 500.00 UNDER MSRP. It is all wheel drive as well. It’s almost exactly the same, but a much better color. Got it all and saved a lot. My dealer probably could have easily sold my Palisade for thousands over MSRP as it was the only AWD within 100 miles of the Bay Area, but he chose to give me a great deal instead. I couldn’t find a KIA dealer who didn’t want more than MSRP on the AWD version. I will never buy a Kia.
I feel like Kia watched your video and took all your criticism into consideration and made some of those improvements with the 23’ Telluride🙂 I have a 23’ SXPXP
I just saw one of these in person for the first time, it is a very pretty looking SUV. I will say it DID NOT look offroad worthy at all, stock anyways. In regards to no turbo, from a pure overland point of view, a turbo is something that could very very wrong in the middle of no where
Jason, thank you so much for this honest review! If KIA approaches your critiques with sincerity, I'll be the first in line to buy a 2022 KIA offroad edition with a center mount for my iPad!
I own this exact ex model. Great review. I just got all terrain tires and am looking forward to some low / intermediate trails w the buddies. Good to know the limitations from the video. But, I disagree with the infotainment console. I've owned Manu brands of cars, and I thought kia knocked it out of the park with it. It is almost flawless and so easy to use compared to other car brands. The touchscreen and the availability of physical buttons make it a top notch infotainment console. Great review!
Just a note--really enjoy the music track you end your video with. Also, maybe you should approach KIA/Ron Tonkin ard offer to "sell" the section at the end of the video w/soundtrack where you are parked on the bluff looking out over the canyon--AWESOME.
Great video. Two questions. What size tires where you running? And with the telly's loaded, it looks like you lost most of the 2" lift, any tire rub on normal driving? thanks
I'm not an offroader, but I've gotten stuck in my 2010 F250 4x4 that I think this would have gotten me out of. Not impressed by the range, a few more gallons capacity would be a big factor. Not excited about pouring gas from a can. Lack of low range hurts but low of 4.8:1 isnt bad i think I can live with it. Price is tough on my budget, but a Ford Expedition is out of the question. Lack of turbocharger means 87 octane. Looking for something bigger, but do I really want 16mpg? Add a roof rack, hitch rack, or even a trailer when i need more space Thanks for a real rocks and roads review. I value your comment about upgradable infotainment system.
Jeep Grand Cherokee is an excellent daily driver. For camping and off-roading it is way way way more useful. It has a real two speed transfer case. That cannot be overstated s to how useful that is. Besides the low gearing the transfer case locks up in low gear. You can ride up a steep incline indefinitely without overheating. The V6 is powerful enough but it also comes with a V8. The 8 can pull over 7000 pounds. It has a limited slip differential on the rear axle. It has adjustable ground clearance up to around 11 inches. That is by far the best option if a person doesn’t want a ladder frame truck or suv.
Great review covering all aspects of the capabilities and none of the vehicle. I guess the person who mentioned dust in the vehicle has never driven in or on gravel or dirt roads. 👍👍👍
A Telluride Adventure Model with the right upgrades could give Jeep and Toyota 4Runner a run for there money. And they both would have to up there game. Win Win.
Awesome review! I love the detail of your off road experience. And I had no idea about the trailer brake module not coming with the tow package (which like you said they advertise 5000 pound towing capacity but forget to include the braking controller). I would love a lift kit which could help the front end clearance but sadly aftermarket parts don't exist yet.
Thanks. It’s good to see different vehicles being put to travel and overland use. Doesn’t have to be the best or optimal to use well and enjoy. However, as always, ground clearance is ultimately super important, low range almost essential (but not a showstopper for getting out there) and payload has to be good. The comforts and luxuries come later. I’d rather take a noisy Land Rover than a snazzy Telluride. A good pickup strikes a far better balance. Low range, rear diff lock maybe, leather interior, great payload.
great review. I camp in Kenya, and have the LandCruiser 76. Looking for options when i get back to the US. The Telluride had great reviews on Consumer Reports, but your review answered my questions. The no L4, low clearance, and no after market specs are all deal breakers for me. The LC 76 is illegal to bring back to the US, I guess I'll have to go with 4 Runner. You should come camping in Kenya, the wild life is amazing, as is the topography.
Good points re: deal breakers. This particular model was lightly modified that I think increased its clearance? Nonetheless, stock, yeah, I don't think this is really for me and Im kinda back to a 4Runner or Xterra. For my uses, the AWD will be, I think, but the clearance issue can't be overlooked.
How did the body structure and interior hold up to all that off-roading? Any squeaks or rattles develop? I can't imagine that Kia designed the Telluride with that kind of use in mind.
LoL. You've got to be kidding on the infotainment! You literally asked for exactly what it already does. Plug that phone into the USB and use Android Auto. It provides your Google maps in a passthrough to the screen so that you can always have the best experience with the newest phone. It's just like the tablet you asked for. I can't believe they didn't show you how to use it! 6 months without the best feature is a real shame.
It literally does not do that, Android Auto doesn't work at all like my phone or allow me to use whatever GPS software I choose. Plus it kept disconnecting making it frustrating and unusable for me. Infotainment systems are a worthless brick that need to go away in opinion. Jason
@@PrimalOutdoors well that's a bummer. What phone do you have? Did you install Android Auto? Is the USB cable good? Did you plug it into the infotainment port vs the covered power port? It's working for 100k other people and the whole point is a passthrough for Google maps from the phone. Here a video of someone using it on a Kia. th-cam.com/video/hrxF-YmBXCQ/w-d-xo.html Good luck.
@@PrimalOutdoors in almost every instance that has more to do with your phone, the usb port, or the cable itself. Just fyi for your next long term vehicle.
That was a good review. I agree with you on the low range. Once you've had a rig with it, it's hard to do without. Low range works even better with the 9 speed trans in my Cherokee TH. I tried a Forester, an Outback and a 2015 Cherokee Sport, all had no low range. Finally, I had to get a Trailhawk that has low range. The Cherokee's have reliability issues, so you have to put up with break down anxiety! I have a SPOT satellite emergency beacon, which you should look in to, if you don't already have one. I like the Uconnect in our TH. I use the GPS in it out in the sticks all the time. I had a 95 T-100 that I loved and owned for over twenty years. I may just have to go back to a Toyota Tacoma, or similar next rig. Trucks are getting so big now though!
If you need more ground clearance, get a truck for that. This was designed for highway travel. This is a SUV not a truck. I would never take a SUV camping or to pull our trailer. 2012 Ford Expedition is the best SUV one can have to pull a boat or trailer. still loved the video. I still want one
Great review, thank you! For my next vehicle I’m torn between Telluride and Ford Transit and. I do not do much outdoors yet, but would like to. From you perspective which would you go for? Thank you.
Great review and just in time as I'm here in Beaverton, OR and am looking to get out of my sedan and into a SUV/truck so I can take the kids and dogs out to the beach, around the mountains, and out to the eastern high desert areas.
I am a little late to the party but I just got my first Teluride. I have a question that you may have answered a dozen times but did you turn off the traction control when you were off road and locked the center differential?
And people are still saying "it's still a Kia". I have an old Kia Sorento and I love that SUV especially because it's body-on-frame and my country could be as well called potholia
Great overview Jason. Really enjoyed the last 6 months of you with it. Something to consider when buying my next vehicle. Towing capacity for me would work fine. What happens to the car now? Maybe a special auction!
Question, when you were in these difficult AWD situations, did you have the Lock button pushed or were you just letting the normal AWD system work? Thanks so much. Loved the video.
Did you try taking it up to the Silverstar Mtn. Ed's trailhead in Wash.? That last 2 miles on Rd. 4109 are pretty rough. I'm wondering just how capable the Telluride is with the 2"lift.
I just purchased a 2021 Telluride EX AWD with factory towing and come with a 7 pin connector but you have to purchase a 7 to 4 pin adapter which is pretty cheap cost wise. I wonder if this fixed the issue you mentioned? I haven't towed with mine yet. Also did the self leveling suspension performed as advertised??
Great review for outdoors on this EX AWD. Unfortunately our EX didn't come with AWD but we did want it. All the dealerships currently have these cars drastically overpriced. We couldn't afford to get the SX with all the bells and whistles and that really disappointed me because if they weren't so overpriced we could have gotten the SX. It would be nice at minimum if KIA had an upgrade deal where people can add the AWD option and other things like the front camera etc. Totally bummed after seeing this review that we couldn't get one with AWD. I do agree the infotainment system is complete garbage. I'm an android fanatic myself but Android auto doesn't work well on this vehicle. I did find a really GREAT work around this though, but I'm working on a video for it so I can't say more at the moment. Anyway, cheers 🍻.
Jason, great review of the Kia (from a camping/overlanding perspective). But, you didn't answer perhaps the biggest question we have - what's next? Back to the Ford? Possible other vehicles? I would guess back to the Ford, but you seem to always have some kind of surprise up your sleeve.
Enjoy your videos! While I would live to do what you're doing, truth is we are on road almost all the time. Just bought a Palisade (basically the same car) partially because of the limited availability (still) and also liked the styling better for city life. Haven't done a road trip yet but these seem to be great highway cars also with all the safety features.
I have the Limited Palisade with the cameras, and just to let you know, it only works at very low speeds, like when one is trying to park the car. When it is moving any faster than that, the camera is disengaged. Just something I wanted to let you know.
Another awesome video! Thumbs way up.
All good points about the Telluride's pros and cons. This vehicle was designed with the "typical" family hauler in mind geared more towards a stroll to the mall rather than an off road adventure.

I'm a simple man. I see Telluride. I hit LIKE

Which advantages are you referring to in particular?
Excellent review. Love the idea of just ditching the infotainment stack and having ba sturdy tablet mount... awesome!
Just purchased the 2021 SX prestige model and love everything about it. The only modification I want is to put up x bars and roof rack.
Very informative review.
This is the perfect vehicle for the sportsman and trail runner.

Agree. Larger gas tank would be nice.
Anthony Rosa i’ve got hard feelings that Imight scratch that crisp paint and screw those nice leather seats

Well done Jason...
Very thorough...
Hopefully Kia will listen.
Thank you for the review.
🙏👌✌👏🇺🇸👍
I just purchased the same vehicle and plan to tow a NuCamp Tab 400. Your review and comments are extremely helpful and useful 👍.
That video presentation was so good that Kia listened to this guy and came up for 2023 with the X-Pro model.

The most honest review I've seen. Great Job
Was really hoping to see more of the Telluride in action.
@Joe Eoj lol .
Telluride all day

Also check out the Honda Passport.

We have a 2019 Sportage and love it....I'd love to have a Telluride....
Kia has Mohave in S.Korea and it has truck based frame. It's almost same size as telluride but the ride isn't as comfortable . Mohave isnt planned to arrive in U.S market

They need to make a off road unit, with higher clearance and the wiring already factory installed. Kia kick ass
Great video, since I am considering purchasing an SUV. I am really liking the reviews for the Telluride. I was considering the 4 runner but they are so darn expensive. I like the towing capacity and thanks for the info on the breaking system. Take care

Yes, i have 2 Borrego's, really good trucks, reliable too.
You can buy Bluetooth cameras for the front and sides of your Telluride also get the cameras that let you see all the way around
Sounds like the car you need from Kia is the 2020 Mohave, it has a V6 with 260hp / 413lb.ft, low range with a body on frame.
Great video! We love the outdoors and want to tow a small trailer, all the reviews only talk about it being a family car. We are not rock crawlers and soft off roaders so I think this is it for us. It was nice to see it all dusty and working hard! Great thought on the tablet holder! Happy trails👍

ENJOYED !
I think that’s why so many people buy the 4Runner. The simplicity of the electronics. Also, true 4x4.
thanks. good review. you are so very correct about : the tablet mount and interface ; and the absent trailer braking module.
Can’t wait for you to get your hands on the x-pro!
I do hope they do a off road version 🥰🥰🥰
You are definitely a really good photographer 😊👍. The pictures you take are awesome. Especially the ones from your drone. 😊
I have a Borrego, and it's really good off-road, they are still selling them outside North America, under the name Mohave.
I feel like Kia watched your video and took all your criticism into consideration and made some of those improvements with the 23’ Telluride🙂 I have a 23’ SXPXP
Great video. Thanks for sharing. My new Ford Ranger was the same way. It’ll tow 7,500lbs but no break controller.
I just saw one of these in person for the first time, it is a very pretty looking SUV. I will say it DID NOT look offroad worthy at all, stock anyways. In regards to no turbo, from a pure overland point of view, a turbo is something that could very very wrong in the middle of no where
review the subaru ascent like this. would be an interesting comparison
Jason, thank you so much for this honest review! If KIA approaches your critiques with sincerity, I'll be the first in line to buy a 2022 KIA offroad edition with a center mount for my iPad!
If disappointed by the side mirror size, you could've just put the turn signal on to trigger the camera...
Put it up for auction
Add a roof rack, hitch rack, or even a trailer when i need more space
Thanks for a real rocks and roads review.
Now time for a 3.3L twin turbo V6 edition... That's be awesome.
The g60 engine?
Yeah I've got that engine in my stinger, this vehicle would be amazing with that engine.
Great review, can't wait to see what Kia will do in upgrades, maybe next year they will let you try a better factory off road version
Randy Larkin ... If Kia will actually make a factory off-road version. Hmmmm??
Was this the clear choice over the Hyundai Palisade, Toyota Highlander, Nissan Pathfinder, Subaru Ascent, and Honda Pilot?
Dreamy You forgot the Ford explorer 😏.
Honda Passport is marketed at being a decent offroad vehicle.
Win Win.
A bit delusional I think.
all that dust inside the car, what the hell are you doing, just close the window!!
My truck would horrify you.
@@100M2B 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I just wonder how long it took to clean that?
I thought that too
you never going off road I assume
Great review, keep up the good work 💪
Awesome review!
Great review and the vehicle overall was impressive.
I love subaru but this kia is better than the ascent very nice car !!!
great review.
Kia has been upping their game. Literally all hype for this thing was off road play. Who knows
you have some rly good footage. greetings from germany
Here a video of someone using it on a Kia. th-cam.com/video/hrxF-YmBXCQ/w-d-xo.html
Good luck.
@@PrimalOutdoors disconnecting problem only happens when you use cheap cable
He needs somebody to show how the magic work, my friend does all kinds of crazy shits with that android auto that i couldn't even imagined
@@PrimalOutdoors in almost every instance that has more to do with your phone, the usb port, or the cable itself. Just fyi for your next long term vehicle.
It always takes some time to learn a new vehicle!
This review was 3 years ago. the 2023 Telluride has solved most if not all of his issues.
We love this vehicle, we were fortunate to purchase it loaded at MSP.
Jason, great review! Think I will keep my 1996 4x4 diesel Ford.
Interesting after 2 years finally made rugged off road package!
Bro I would totally get that Telluride you have! Cheers mate!
it is for sale. I saw in in an ad.
I am a little late to the party but I just got my first Teluride. I have a question that you may have answered a dozen times but did you turn off the traction control when you were off road and locked the center differential?
Tablet mount sounds awesome!! But how do you keep the thieves from stealing it? Where I live, cars are getting broke into like no other.....
I like KIA, regard from Indonesia

And people are still saying "it's still a Kia". I have an old Kia Sorento and I love that SUV especially because it's body-on-frame and my country could be as well called potholia
Thanks for your practical review. Also showing your nicely relaxed life.
feel like if kia makes some changes and makes an off road trim it'll be crazy
Great overview Jason. Really enjoyed the last 6 months of you with it. Something to consider when buying my next vehicle. Towing capacity for me would work fine. What happens to the car now? Maybe a special auction!
Nice review, looking to buy this in Qatar, a bit of sand dune bashing/ offroad but mostly long distance road
Loved your video , can the kia be lifted? And did you lift the one you tested ?
Love your video's. Nice work.
I really do like Apple play though and music. I’m in love with this car
Question, when you were in these difficult AWD situations, did you have the Lock button pushed or were you just letting the normal AWD system work? Thanks so much. Loved the video.
Yours is AWD. what about a FWD? I don’t expect it can do the same, but maybe close, right? Because I love it.
Excellent review. Thank you for sharing!
Been following you for a while. Really glad the Kia phase is over...
Lol your Tellurdie with a trailer gets better MPG than my 4runner
Yes, back to the Ford I am currently working on some upgrades so I can get back on the road.
Jason
excellent review - thinking of getting one.
I think that would be fine your not moving fast when working obstacles so it may still be helpful
