Thank for the info man, I really was wondering what all those numbers meant. It's good to know.

Thanks, you did a good job with the tagging of this video. I found it by entering the model number from my meter. I heard you say you're in Allen. I am too. I'm over off S Allen Heights & Exchange. I got my meter installed just this morning.

Let me help. Screen with the 01 at bottom is the amount you are billed for. Screen with 02 at the bottom is how much energy the solar panels have generated. Screen 03 is the total power you have used. So since you used the amount on screen 03, generated the energy on screen 02, the energy you will be billed for is the difference between screen 03 (power used) minus screen 02 (power generated) = screen 01 (the power the energy company provided). Your welcome.

Did you find this documented anywhere or are passing on information from your utility company/installer? I'd really love to find this documented in an ACLARA manual somewhere.

What might other numbers mean, like 07 and 08?

Hmmm I have the exact same meter but I don’t have 01,02,03, etc on the bottom. Mine says 100 kW and 101 kW. I wonder why

Thank you for the video. It's very helpful. Do you have any video or info about the Solar Edge "monitoring app"?

Does it cycle through the numbered displays automatically or is there a way to manually advance from one reading to the next?

      It does it automatically

Hi, I am in DFW. May I ask who did your solar system installation? I am interested in installing a system at my house.

I have the same exact meter in New Jersey but I only get the 01 and 02 screen. Funny enough I have the same exact solar system solar edge .. I will say my meter the 01 screen is pegged at zero, throughout the day, while the numbers on my O2 screen doesn’t change.. I’m producing 5 kW per hour everything is off in the house, shouldn’t my 02 screen increase numerically? The numbers on 02 aren’t going up all, Whilst my 01 screen are zeroed out..

On the 01 screen at the bottom right you should see the arrow .. direction of arrow indicate power consumption (left arrow) or generation (right arrow)..you may also want to check with the Utility provider to see if meter is working properly..

      @pointvillage16 ปีที่แล้ว

@@baskis4794 Yeah I definitely see the arrow I’m just saying on the O2 screen the numbers don’t go up they just stay the same.. it does show the left arrow as if the meter is going backwards but it is zeroed out.. which is why I was thinking the 02 screen which is the second screen those numbers would go up if that is what it shows if it’s going back to the utility company

hmmmm this has me thinking our meters is not reporting correctly. 02 should have a higher reading of 5.30 which I just started to pay attention to. the last two readings my 02 number has been the same.

I am also in the same town and wonder if you are with the four letter electric co-op company based in the next county. I am, and since it is a co-op i cannot change my electric provider. I too want to install solar and was wondering if we have the same provider. If so, how much hassle was it to work with them? Last time i checked they said they would not buy back any power from a solar system so wondering if that's still true (if you are in the co-op that is). Thanks

    • @Coffeeground

My coop wont buy back but they give me wholesale credits that are good to use for 12 months. If you go solar with a coop dont try to produce more energy then you use.

Installer has no idea of how it works or what is displays.
Customer Service (joke) has absolutely no idea what how to read the displays.
No information in written form is provided so you are on your own.
The meter may be great but everything around it is worthless.

kW is power. You aren't charged for power, you are charged for kW-hour, which is a measure of energy.
