Leslie Sarony - Let's All Be Fairies - 1933

Leslie Sarony, Water Rat 740.
He was born Leslie Legge Frye on January 22nd 1897 in Surbiton, Surrey. All though he started performing at the age of 14 he didn't go professional until WWI finished after he had spent time in the trenches with the London Scottish Regiment. Sarony was a popular singing performer for "The Bright Young Things" of the 20s, which helped him get a break into films.
He could act too, appearing in many TV dramas throughout his life, he is in fact the police informer in the very first episode of "The Sweeney".
He Died 12th February 1985.
